Nickelodeon to Close South Korean Linear Channel on June 30; To Shift Programming to Paramount Plus on TVING

Nickelodeon in South Korea will be shuttering its linear channel on June 30, 2022, after nearly 17 years on the air, with Nickelodeon programming being moved onto Paramount's streaming service Paramount+, which recently launched in the country in partnership with K-content platform TVING. Nickelodeon South Korea is owned by SBS Paramount, a joint venture of SBS Medianet and Paramount Networks EMEAA. The news follows Nickelodeon Japan closing its linear channel earlier this year, moving programming onto the Amazon Prime Video on-demand service.
