Voice Actors Reading A Scene From ‘The Office’ As ‘SpongeBob’ and 'Jimmy Neutron' Characters Is More Entertaining Than It Ought To Be

The Nerdist series Talkin’ Toons is one of the funniest things happening on the internet right now. The show’s premise is simple, take voice actors and give them a platform to talk about their work, then set them loose re-enacting scenes from films or TV shows – but as their animated characters. The results are absolutely as ridiculous and wonderful as you think they are. The show has done some seriously fantastic mashups like “Invader Zim Goes Ludicrous Speed In Spaceballs!”, Bart Simpson as Harry Potter, the Tiny Toons cast doing Game of Thrones, and the Cryptkeeper meets Wizard of Oz.


One episode in particular really has people cracking up, though is Episode 21, which delves deep into the Nickelodeon classics and we end up with SpongeBob SquarePants and Jimmy Neutron taking on The Office. Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) tackles the role of Michael Scott. Dwight’s lines are read as Carl Wheezer (Rob Paulsen), Jimmy Neutron’s neurotic friend.

SPONGEBOB’S MR. KRABS FILLS IN FOR THE OFFICE’S MICHAEL SCOTT

When Clancy Brown joined host Rob Paulsen on our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons, we bargained with him to recreate Doctor Strange’s encounter with Dormammu as his Trollhunters character Gunmar. But as much fun as it was to hear him as the Destroyer of Worlds, you don’t have one of the most famous denizens of Bikini Bottom in studio without asking him to give us a taste of his character from SpongeBob SquarePants. And who better to have Mr. Krabs fill in for than another famous TV boss who knows something about managing some unusual employees: The Office‘s Michael Scott!

In this clip from Brown’s visit to the show, Rob took over for Dunder Mifflin’s recent dental patient Dwight Schrute as one of his favorite characters, Carl Wheezer from Jimmy Neutron, with Mr. Krabs replacing Steve Carell’s regional manager and M&M pusher Michael Scott.

Clancy Brown is a national treasure, both under the sea and above it.

As for this head honcho crossover, there’s no scenario where Mr. Krabs would ever willingly give up even a single bite of candy. Michael’s motives might sometimes be a little mean-spirited, but no prank is good enough for Mr. Krabs to give someone free food.

The 2018 Cynopsis Digital Model D Awards honors the best in online video content & advertising. Cynopsis Kids has announced the very exciting news that Nickelodeon scooped up a raft of awards and honorable mentions at the 2018 Cynopsis Kids Imagination Awards!


Cynopsis Kids’ seventh annual Imagination Awards (previously the !magination Awards) highlighted the most outstanding multiplatform programming and campaigns - and the executives behind the scenes - in kids, tween and teen entertainment.

The 7th annual Cynopsis Imagination Awards took place on Tuesday, September 25th at the Yale Club in New York City, NY. Sponsored by pocket.watch, the breakfast event was a "who's who" of kids and family media, with comedic relief from guest presenters Paul Costabile (NBCUniversal's Bluprint), David Osmond (Wonderama) and Oneika Raymond (Travel Channel).

"The audience for kids media demands continually evolving technology, fresh formats and a fun spirit. The winners and finalists at this year's Cynopsis Imagination Awards exemplify just that, displaying excellence in content and complementary campaigns," says Cathy Applefeld Olson, show producer and editor of Cynopsis Kids.

Imagination Award winners were recognized in more than 40 categories that spanned content, marketing, talent, technology and more. Nickelodeon's new animated preschool series, Butterbean’s Café, premieres on Monday, Nov. 12

NEW YORK–Oct. 22, 2018– Preschoolers will be whisked away on magical culinary adventures in Nickelodeon’s brand-new CG-animated series, Butterbean’s Café, premiering Monday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. (ET/PT), in the Nick Jr. preschool block. The series (40 episodes), which centers on a fairy named Butterbean and her adventures running her neighborhood café and bakery, will feature guest voice appearances by top celebrity chefs and culinary experts: Richard Blais (Top Chef, Guy’s Grocery Games), Alton Brown (Good Eats, Iron Chef America), Carla Hall (The Chew, Top Chef), Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), Giada De Laurentiis (Giada at Home) and Rachael Ray (The Rachael Ray Show). Created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt (Bubble Guppies), Butterbean’s Café showcases creative cooking and features a curriculum with social-emotional lessons that highlight kindness and gratitude, and leadership skills. Following its U.S. launch, Butterbean’s Café will roll out on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks throughout 2019.

In the series, Butterbean, her fairy friends--Dazzle, Poppy and Jasper--and her little sister Cricket take pride in serving up healthy snacks and sweet treats to the residents in their community of Puddlebrook. Butterbean’s special magic beans, the fairies’ enchanted kitchen tools and the team’s can-do spirit all combine to make their cafe the most awesome eatery in town.



In Butterbean’s Café’s series premiere, “The Grand Opening!,” Butterbean and her friends work together to make the opening of the café a success, while competing café owner Ms. Marmalady attempts to throw them off track.

Leading up to the linear series premiere of Butterbean’s Café, an all-new full-length episode and short-form content are available now on NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App.

Kira Kosarin Shares Inspirational Advice on How to Deal with Bullying | Anti-Bullying Week 2018 | Nickelodeon UK

This week is Anti-Bullying Week in the UK. As part of this years Anti-Bullying Week campaign, Nickelodeon UK & Ireland's The Scoop recently sat down with The Thundermans star Kira Kosarin, a victim of bullying herself, at SLIMEFEST 2018 about what advice she'd give to her younger self. "All the things that I got made fun of for in school ended up being the things that made me successful," revealed Kira. Check out Kira's lovely anti-bullying message in the video below!:


Anti-Bullying Week is an annual initiative led by Anti-Bullying Alliance and this year takes place from Monday 12th-Friday 16th November 2018. Anti-Bullying Week kicked off with Andy and the Odd Socks and Odd Socks Day, which encouraged children across the UK to wear odd socks to school to show their support and raise money for a good cause.

This years Anti-Bullying Week theme is 'Choose Respect', and to commemorate this years theme, Andy and the Odd Socks have written an amazing toe tapping song for Odd Socks Day 2018 called 'Choose Respect', which encompasses why Anti-Bullying Week does Odd Socks Day.
