The Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium is taking inspiration from one of the world's greatest explorers this summer.
In celebration of the new movie Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, the zoo is bringing some new adventures.
From Friday, June 27 to Monday, July 7, the zoo will provide guests with a treasure map when they walk in. From there, clues will lead them on a scavenger hunt to find six animals. When all of them are found, the map can be returned for a small prize.

The scavenger hunt does not cost extra; it is included in the general admission cost or Friends of the Zoo membership.
The Zoo is delighted to announce an exclusive opportunity for kids and families who are enthusiasts of the Dora franchise. Between June 27 and July 7, all children will have the opportunity to engage in the Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado treasure hunt; a treasure map will be distributed at the main entrance. Guests will then follow clues to find six animals featured in the scavenger hunt and return their map to the Beastro Lobby at the front of the Zoo for a small prize (while supplies last).
