Nick Jr. Global to Premiere 'PAW Patrol' Special 'Rocky’s Cat-astrophe' on April 25

Nickelodeon International will premiere the brand new hour-long PAW Patrol special Rocky’s Cat-astrophe across Nick Jr. Global's pan-regional feeds on Saturday 25th April 2026 at 12:30 CET!

In Rocky’s Cat-astrophe, our favorite mixed-breed Eco pup, Rocky, takes the lead in this new hour-long adventure. When Mayer Humdinger's scheme goes awry, the home of junkyard kitten Percy ends up in shambles. Rocky, out of the kindness of his heart, invites the kitty to stay at the Lookout overnight. Despite Ryder’s offer to work as a team to watch the “zippy kitty”, Rocky’s determined to take the lead and says he’s got this.


Little does he know what a handful the mischievous kitten will be. While Rocky’s heart's in the right place, he learns a valuable lesson that even heroes with the best of intentions sometimes need to ask for help. The hour-long episode teaches teamwork, kindness, and problem-solving through a fun, preschool-friendly adventure.

Below is the official synopsis for the special:

When one of Humdinger's schemes goes awry, a Junkyard Kitten's home is destroyed and Rocky bites off more than he can chew when he invites a kitten to stay at the Lookout overnight. As the irascible kitten who idolizes Rocky causes more trouble than expected, our favorite recycling eco-pup needs to learn that even heroes need to ask for help sometimes.

Rocky’s Cat-astrophe made its debut on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Friday, January 30.

To celebrate Rocky embarking on his first solo rescue mission, Nickelodeon has unveiled a PAWsome first look at the all-new PAW Patrol special, which you can check out in the video clips above and below, courtesy of Parents!


“Get ready for a heartwarming and action-packed PAW Patrol adventure!,” said Laura Clunie, Senior Vice President of Spin Master Entertainment, the global entertainment company behind the series, for the special's U.S. premiere. “This hour-long special puts our favorite eco-pup, Rocky, in the spotlight as he sets out on a rescue, leading him to bite off a little more than he can chew. What unfolds is a powerful story that shows that even the mightiest heroes need to ask for help sometimes—in fact, it is one of the bravest things you can do.”

Exciting Year Ahead for the Pups

This new special is the latest in a series of five hour-long specials announced last May. Each special centers on a different character from the Paw Patrol universe. In the first special, Valiente: A Tracker Story, pup Tracker and his caretaker, Carlos, recruit Ryder and the rest of the Paw Patrol to take on a new villain. During the holiday season, we followed Rubble in A PAW Patrol Christmas as he saves the holiday when Humdinger tries to take all the gifts from Santa for himself. 

PAW Patrol has a global audience, reaching 180 territories and being translated into 22 languages. With the remaining hour-long specials forthcoming, a brand-new season on the horizon, new episodes of spin-off Rubble & Crew, and a third feature film set to be released later this year, preschoolers around the world have a lot to be excited for.

Adventure reaches new heights in PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, set to roar into theaters on Friday, August 14.


After their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol pups crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When the PAW Patrol's archrival, Mayor Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt. The PAW Patrol pups are thrown into a series of high-stakes, dino-sized rescues bigger than anything they've done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.

The short teaser centers on yet more daring rescue missions from the heroic pups, and features a new single from the Backstreet Boys (or should that be Barkstreet Boys?), “Bottle Up”.

The movie's voice cast includes: Carter Young (Marshall), Mckenna Grace (Skye), Terry Crews, Meredith MacNeill, Ron Pardo, Jennifer Hudson, Hayden Chemberlen, Fortune Feimster, Jameela Jamil, Rain Janjua (Chase), Bill Nye, Paris Hilton, Lucien Duncan-Reid (Rubble), William Desrosiers (Rocky), Nylan Parthipan (Zuma), and Snoop Dogg, and introduces Henry Bolan (Ryder).

Based on the beloved CG-animated TV series created by Keith Chapman, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is produced by Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and Spin Master Entertainment, and is directed by Cal Brunker, who has also helmed the two other cinematic takes on the popular preschool show, based on a script he co-wrote with Bob Barlen. Jennifer Dodge, Laura Clunie and Toni Stevens serve as producers, with Ronnen Harary executive producing.

'PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie' Teaser Poster

The PAW Patrol franchise includes two movies: PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), which grossed $144.3 million worldwide, and the sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023), which earned $205.1 million worldwide. The Mighty Movie is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, with a total of $65.3 million domestically and $139.8 million internationally. Mikros Animation, which was acquired by Rodeo FX in March produced the animation for the first two movies.

The PAW Patrol TV series was created by Keith Chapman (Bob the Builder) and produced by Spin Master Entertainment and animated by Guru Studio. The show premiered on Nickelodeon in the U.S. in August of 2013. The show’s spin-off Rubble & Crew (animated by Canada’s Jam Filled Ent.) premiered on Nickelodeon in 2023.
