South Park, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022, debuted on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny were first seen in the animated short The Spirit of Christmas, and from there were launched into television history. Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. Nickelodeon will premiere My Weird School, an all-new feature-length movie based on the book series by New York Times best-selling author Dan Gutman, on Tuesday, December 30 at 5:00 p.m. (ET/PT)! To celebrate, Nickelodeon today unveiled the film's official key art.
Their teachers are extra... terrestrial. Produced by Nickelodeon Studios, the movie will follow middle school student A.J. as he finds himself joining forces with faculty and friends to save the world from an alien invasion. Production on My Weird School commenced in Vancouver, Canada in October 2024, and will air on Nickelodeon channels around the world. Paramount+ premiere details will be announced at a later date.
“We are so excited to bring this beloved book series to life with a dream cast of actors and influencers we know our audience will love, and a creative team lead by Jonathan Judge who will elevate the movie in a hilarious way for Nickelodeon’s kids and family audience,” said Shauna Phelan, who served as EVP, Live Action Series and Film, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness when the movie was first announced in October 2024.
In the movie, A.J. hates middle school but is willing to give it a chance to prove him wrong. Upon arriving for the first day, he is convinced this year will be just like any other, until he meets his really weird teachers and soon finds himself saving the world from an alien invasion.
The movie's official logline reads: "AJ hates school. So when his school is threatened by aliens it's shocking to everyone when he and his best friends team up with the most unlikely of allies...their teachers."

A new year brings some big changes to Nickelodeon's international feeds!
On Thursday 1st January 2026, countries that currently receive Nickelodeon's Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Commercial Light and Global feeds will start to receive the newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed, currently available in South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.
The feed change will bring viewers in these regions a slightly different schedule from what Nick CEE currently airs (although the former schedule will be kept by a separate Polish Nickelodeon channel), along with a slew of previously "banned" episodes that couldn't be aired in certain regions due to their content (most often LGBTQIA+-themed), which will be making their premieres in many countries.
The feed currently known as Nickelodeon Global will be mainly used for Nickelodeon channels in Asia.
Nickelodeon channels in countries that can't air the "banned" episodes, such as Kenya, will be transferred to a second new feed called Nickelodeon Global Limited, which will continue to keep these episodes out of rotation.
In general, the changes will mean that most of Europe and South Africa will receive the same content, with only a few minor exceptions in stricter countries.
Another big change will be the closure of Nickelodeon Ukraine, along with the Nick Jr. and Nicktoons channels currently available in the country. These channels will shutter in the region on Thursday 1st January 2026.

Paramount Global, in partnership with 1+1 Media, has announced that Nicktoons and Nick Jr. channels are now available to watch in Ukrainian! The Ukrainian audio tracks for both channels were launched on Thursday 7th December 2023, and are available on a wide range of platforms, including OTT, Viasat satellite packages and cable networks. To make this possible, Paramount Global has translated and dubbed over 47,000 minutes of high-quality content in collaboration with Ukrainian talent. The news follows Paramount launching a Ukrainian audio track for the Nickelodeon channel earlier this year.
Update (9/12): Paramount will reportedly shutter Nickelodeon Ukraine, along with the Nick Jr. and Nicktoons channels currently available in the country on Thursday 1st January 2026.

Paramount+ is set to premiere Season 2 of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – the hit animated series from the universe of TMNT: Mutant Mayhem – on the streaming service on Friday, December 12, and to celebrate, the official TMNT Instagram page has unveiled a first look at season two's opening episode, "Mutant Battle Arena"! In the season two premiere episode, Raph's brothers just don't get him. He NEEDS to fight! He's good at it too, according to his new trainer Spuds. But even though they don't see eye to eye, the Turtles must work together to stop a rampaging Bebop and Rocksteady from wrecking the city!
The recently released trailer gives fans a first look at what’s next for Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello as they face fresh threats and new allies in a city that’s more alive – and mutating – than ever. Tales of the TMNT is produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures.
Season 2 is stacked with an epic guest star lineup, including Kieran Culkin as Jordan Perry, Craig Robinson as Spud, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Ralph Ineson as Rahzar, Peter Stormare as Tokka, Fred Armisen as Scratch, Heidi Gardner as Maude, and Ike Barinholtz as Tood, plus influencers BenOfTheWeek and InquisitorMaster.
