"Last night we celebrated the wrap of our first season at Hollywood Arts together. Just shared the journey to this point and my thank you’s to everyone along the way in an open letter ❤️," Daniella Monet, who's reprising her Victorious role of Trina in the series, posted to Instagram.
A brand-new spinoff of Nickelodeon's hit live-action comedy series Victorious, which aired from 2010-2013, the series is set to debut on Netflix in 2026, followed by releases on Nickelodeon and Paramount+. Production on the show commenced in October 2025 in Vancouver, Canada. The show has been picked up for 26 episodes.
In this all-new series, struggling actress Trina Vega (Daniella Monet), the older sister of Tori Vega (Victoria Justice), returns to her former high school, Hollywood Arts, as an unqualified substitute teacher, quickly finding herself both clashing with and unexpectedly inspiring a new generation of ambitious and talented students as they learn to find their true path at Hollywood's most elite performing arts school.

The cast also includes: Alyssa Miles (Hanging out with Alyssa and Xavier) as Emmy; Emmy Liu-Wang (Raven's Home, Slumber Party) as Pepper; Peyton Jackson (Woman in the Yard, Young Dylan) as Qwest; Erika Swayze (School Spirits, Davey & Jonesie's Locker, Workin' Moms) as Jen Z; and Martin Kamm (Unsung Hero, Web of Spiderman) as Oscar. Nickelodeon legend Yvette Nicole Brown (Drake & Josh, Community) will also feature as a guest star, reprising her role of Principal Helen Dubois.
It is unclear yet whether other original Victorious cast members, including lead Victoria Justice, Wicked star Ariana Grande, and Grammy winner Leon Thomas will appear on Hollywood Arts.
Hollywood Arts is executive produced by Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin, who also serve as the show's showrunners, alongside Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House, My Weird School), who also directs the series, and cast member Monet.
The Hollywood Arts pilot (first) episode is directed by, and was penned by Jake Farrow & Samantha Martin. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios.
Production of the series is overseen by Shauna Phelan, who served as Executive Vice President (EVP), Live Action Series and Film & Talent, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness TV when the show was first announced (Phelan has since stood down from that position, however, she still serves as a producer on select titles at Paramount Television Studios) along with Brian Banks, Vice President, Live-Action, Current Series, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness TV serves as Executive in Charge.
"Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do," said Monet when the series was first announced. adding "Victorious was in a lot of ways life changing for all of us, our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can't begin to describe. As an actress, producer, and mom, I am so eager to create something we can all be proud to share with the world."

Update (3/17) - In an open letter posted to her official Substack, Daniella Monet said:
My Last Six Months at Hollywood Arts. Back in Trina Vega’s Shoes… I Mean Heels;)
buckle up, this one’s a diary entry…
Mar 16, 2026
For those of you who don’t know, for the past few months we have been filming the Victorious spinoff, Hollywood Arts. Last night we celebrated the wrap of our first season at Hollywood Arts together, and in addition to the love I shared for our crew last night, I wish I also got to share a little about the journey to this point.
It was March of 24’ when I saw Jake Farrow’s name pop up on my phone. I’ll never forget the exact moment because, ironically (but not at all, because all is aligned, especially because “alignment” just so happened to be my word of that year), his call caught me in no other than the streets of Vancouver on my first day off of my first job back since becoming a mom. Excuse me while I paint the scene a bit…It was a sunny day, I had just picked up a sweet treat from my favorite local vegan bakery ‘To Live For’, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom along this sweet little neighborhood sidewalk and I had an hour walk to process the what-if’s. Trina… again??!
It wasn’t long before I was in a group chat with him and his creative partner Sam Martin, who believe it or not, we too share a full-circle moment. Sam and I had met when we were 16 and I was lucky enough to play HER in a sitcom I hold close to my heart called ‘Listen Up’ created by her dad, Jeff Martin. Listen Up was my very first multi cam series, one that taught me so much.
Cut to me sitting discussing those same “what if’s” at a fancy lunch table on the Paramount lot full of people with the power to make a potential spin-off happen for real (WHAT THE HECK).
Meanwhile, Jake and Sam worked their cute little faces off to develop and perfect what we know now as our Hollywood Arts pilot.
Slowly but surely things began to fall into place. A few things that mattered the most from the jump (and then I’ll get to the thank-yous) were that our sets felt the same and that casting was 100%. We got our production designer, Tristan Dalley, from Victorious and the cast of our dreams.
Alyssa Miles, Erika Swayze, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, and Martin Kamm. This is our show. Meant to be from the second we all connected.
Your talent, passion, and heart inspire me. I feel so lucky to share this experience with each of you. This show has a unique feeling, a brightness to it…we’ve heard it countless times, but it’s true. If I could bottle this up and savor this feeling with all of you forever, I would. No matter what happens, I’m here, always. You’re a star in my eyes in more ways than one, and I can’t wait to cheer you on as you continue to light up rooms, stages, and screens wherever you go.
And the #1 rule, and really only rule we collectively had was that every single person who touched this project must pass the vibe check.
The last 6 months were carried out by some of the hardest-working, well-spirited individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside.
And this is when I’d ask everyone to give it up for:
Our casting department - original to Victorious!! Every single one of our directors!! Carl our camera coordinator, and all his camera operators!! Director of photography and the entire lighting department!! Our hard-working AD department!! Warut, manning our continuity!! The INCREDIBLE and robust art department — set dec, construction, greens, PROPS!! The man who wore many hats, our choreographer Ryan, and his dream of a sidekick, Travis Lim… you guys worked your butts off, and this show has a literal heartbeat in the form of dance thanks to you both and all of your talented dancers!! Our dialogue coach, Jean-Luc who caught us every time we fell with a line, note, or delivery adjustment!! Our stand-ins!! Our guest stars!! Our STUNT department - thank you, Sluggo and fam!! The entire production office for handling ALL THE THINGS!! Morgan and Jasmina for being a right hand and then some-that blooper reel, ah!! Our social media team(s), including Zoe from mine :)) !! Accounting for keeping the lights on and getting us paid!! Our producer Richard for being a rare GEM of a human being while keeping it all together!! Our support system for overseeing all the pieces of this puzzle… Brin, Shauna, Don, Jonathon, and our studio execs at Netflix/Skydance-Paramount/Awesomeness/Nickelodeon!! Ugh, our lovely drivers who got us to and from work daily, and all of transpo who kept our trailers up!! Our extras casting, who made our background and continuity players feel seen and heard!! Niki and Zack Hexum, Sam, Dylan, Almond, and everyone who played a part in creating the INSANE HITS (omg!!) and every musical element along the way!! Our catering crew - Barb, ya get me!! The safety and crafty team!! Our grips, sound, spfx, vfx guys and gals!! And give it up for our COSTUME and HAIR AND MAKE UP departments — collectively you brought characters to LIFE, you made them real and were by our side every step of the way.
Now it’s all in the hands of our POST TEAM!! Thank you to Jonathan Judge, and all our editors manning the most nuanced bits and pieces frame by frame to wrap this show up in a pretty bow for the world to enjoy.
The patience, the professionalism, the good vibes.
Thank you.
xx,
Daniella
