Nickelodeon is responsible for giving us some pretty great cartoons, especially back in the early days. Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, CatDog, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Avatar: The Last Airbender, the list goes on and on. One throwback from the nineties follows the adventures of a well-intentioned wallaby named Rocko as he navigates the challenges of modern life. Mondo brings the lovable character and his friends to life. Here’s a first look at Mondo’s limited edition figure set inspired by Nickelodeon's Rocko’s Modern Life.
Mondo revealed the limited-edition set of Rocko’s Modern Life figures on Friday, April 24. It truly captures all the charm of the original beloved Nicktoon. Included are five awesome figures so that you can collect the whole squad. The characters featured in the set are Rocko, his beloved dog Spunky, his buds Heffer Wolfe and Filburt Turtle, and Filburt’s pet bird Turdy. This marks the first time the show has ever received high-end premium figures. The Rocko’s Modern Life Mondo collection has a limited release—only 1200 sets are available.
The limited-edition Rocko’s Modern Life figure set comes with multiple portraits and hands to help you set up your O-Town set just right. You can swap them out as you please, setting the scene with different expressions. Each set costs $160.
Rocko’s Modern Life aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1996. The nineties hit follows the satirical adventures of Rocko Rama, a wallaby from Australia. Taking his canine companion, Spunky, Rocko leaves his home and immigrates to the United States. He settles down in a strange place called O-Town. There, he juggles between a mundane life, annoying neighbors, and his eccentric pals, Heffer and Filburt. The show ran for four seasons and became an instant smash. In 2019, a follow up TV movie titled Static Cling, which sees the gang return to Earth after being blasted off to space in the series finale, was released on Netflix.
