The Paramount+ original delivered a bigger premiere than Season 2 while building momentum with audiences in the U.S. and Europe.

The third season of the hit Paramount+ espionage thriller from Taylor Sheridan drew 7.1 million viewers in its first seven days of streaming, according to Paramount internal data. The strong start puts the Sunday, August 2 premiere significantly ahead of the audience for the Season 2 debut in 2024, marking an impressive return for the series.
According to preliminary Nielsen data, Lioness ranked as the No. 2 most-watched streaming original series in the U.S. during the week of Sunday, August 2 – Saturday, August 8. The series also generated strong conversation across social platforms, ranking as the No. 1 buzziest streaming drama from August 2–4 and driving 6.9 million social media views, according to Social Content Ratings.
And the momentum is global. On SkyShowtime in Europe, the Season 3 premiere outperformed the premieres of both previous seasons and is tracking to become one of the service’s top five returning premieres ever, according to internal SkyShowtime data.
The performance adds another chapter to a strong year for Paramount+. In March, the first season of The Madison reached 8 million views in 10 days, followed by the debut of Dutton Ranch in May, which drew 12.9 million views in seven days.
