Nickelodeon Greece (ฮฮปฮปฮฌฮดฮฑ), along with the MTV Live HD and MTV Europe channels in Europe, are set to shutdown on Wednesday, December, 31, 2025.
Operated by Tilekinisi (Local TV) S.M.S.A under license from Paramount, Nickelodeon ฮฮปฮปฮฌฮดฮฑ is a free-to-air children's channel that officially launched on September 3, 2010, as a sort-of rebrand of the Local TV channel, which had been trialing airing Nickelodeon programming in the lead-up to Nickelodeon's launch. Nickelodeon Greece broadcasts in HD and SD (which uses a downscaled version of the HD feed) in both Greek and English (with Greek subtitles), and is available in Attica, Argo-Saronic Gulf and Euboea, and by satellite in the rest of Greece through Nova and Cosmote TV, based in Nea Ionia, and Attica.
In addition to the main Nickelodeon channel, Nickelodeon Plus, a free-to-air channel operated by Pertho Radio TV Enterprises S.M.S.A. under license from Paramount that broadcasts in Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, along with a Nick+ VoD service, which Paramount launched in partnership with COSMOTE TV in 2019, are also available, however, it's currently unknown whether these will continue to operate following the closure of Nickelodeon Greece.
Nickelodeon Greece will be replaced by another kids channel called Keedoo on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Unfortunately, it seems to be using A.I. slop in its launch promotions:
Update (10/1/2026): Following Nickelodeon Greece's closure, the web address of the official Nickelodeon Greece website now redirects to Keedoo's official website, which uses the framework of the former website. The new website also still uses some aspects from Nickelodeon, including the 'N' from the Nickelodeon logo.

After the turn of the year, the transition from Nickelodeon Greece to the new children’s channel Keedoo took place, which now broadcasts a different program lineup. The transition happened gradually, first with the change of the idents and then with the logo on the channel’s broadcast feed. Nickelodeon Greece ceased operations after a full 15 years!
Paramount is reportedly planning to close six linear TV channels - including Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. - in Brazil.
Paramount is set to shutter its six linear television channels in Brazil. The affected channels are: Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., MTV, MTV Live, Comedy Central, and Paramount Channel. The channels will be removed from subscription television services, with programming also being removed from television providers' on-demand/streaming services.
According to information obtained by NaTelinha, television distributors have already begun receiving notifications that, starting Wednesday, December 31, 2025, Paramount will work solely with Paramount+ under the D2C (direct-to-consumer) model—that is, without partnerships with broadcasters—in addition to maintaining its free Pluto TV streaming service.
According to sources cited by the outlet, the decision is due to a drop in advertising revenue, combined with a decrease in the number of pay-TV subscribers. The company's sports rights, which include broadcasts of tournaments such as the Copa Libertadores, will remain in effect.
In addition, the high costs associated with the Servicio de Acceso Condicionado (SeAC), the regulatory body that governs the distribution of audiovisual content in Brazil through any electronic technology, played a role. Following its merger with Skydance Media in August, Paramount's goal is to become a Big Tech company, hence its strategy of selling content directly to the end consumer, eliminating the need for third parties.
It has not yet been revealed what will happen to these channels in the rest of Latin America, but the outlook does not seem encouraging. Nickelodeon-wise, Nickelodeon lost its independent feeds, and now utilize the pan-regional feed used for Nickelodeon Central and Eastern Europe. Elsewhere, Paramount will also be closing several channels, including TeenNick and NickMusic, in Europe by the end of the year, with Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. also set to sunset in New Zealand.
It is also known that, in order to expedite the acquisition by Skydance, Paramount has also sought to divest its broadcast television channels in Argentina and Chile, Telefe and Chilevisiรณn, respectively. There have even been rumors linking Telefe to businessman Gustavo Scaglione, although no official information has been released yet. In any case, our friends over at TVLaint have already contacted Paramount and are awaiting an official response.
Update (13/11) - Several Paramount channels, including Nickelodeon HD, Nick Jr. HD, TeenNick HD, and NickMusic, are set to leave Claro's satellite and IPTV packages in Costa Rica on Saturday, December 13.
Update (15/11) - SKY Brasil willbe removing Comedy Central, Paramount Channel and MTV on December 15.
Update (31/12) - Nickelodeon Brasil has started to display a banner with scrolling text saying that the channel will closedown on Thursday 1st January 2026.
Update (31/12) Part 2: TeenNick Latinoamerica will also closedown on Thursday 1st January 2026.

Nickelodeon Israel (ืִืฉְׂืจָืֵื) has announced plans to premiere The Cave Painter (ืฆืืืจ ืืืขืจืืช), a brand new sitcom about the world's first painter, on Sunday 4th January 2026!
The Cave Painter follows Obo, an ancient boy with a secret talent: he's the first painter in history! Between predatory animals, a tough father, a stressed mother and bullying bullies, he just wants to survive, and win the heart of Buga. Even 35,000 years ago, being a teenager wasn't easy.
The comedy series stars Yaniv Biton, Alma Zack, Yaniv Swissa, Roy Bar-Natan, Dov Navon, Yael Levental, Maayan Blum, Noa Astanjelove, Neta Roth, with Itai Tarkhanov in the lead role.

January 8, 2026 –School Spirits, the hit original drama series, created by Nate & Megan Trinrud for Paramount Television Studios, will return for its third season on January 28, at 3am ET / 12am PT exclusively on Paramount+ U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, GSA, Italy, France and Latin America.
Season three of School Spirits plunges Maddie Nears and her friends into a deeper, darker mystery as the veil between worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew. After clawing her way back to life, Maddie struggles with terrifying visions and the weight of protecting both the living and the dead while Simon – trapped in the afterlife – becomes obsessed with the secrets buried in Split River High’s scars. Why have so many people died at Split River High? What was Mr. Martin warning them about? As they search for answers, new dangers and dark secrets begin to surface.
