ASIFA-Hollywood will be hosting a special panel featuring Jorge R. Gutierrez, the co-creator of Nickelodeon’s Emmy-winning show El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, at WonderCon 2026 in Anaheim!

Gutierrez has built one of the most unmistakable visual worlds in modern animation—where Lucha Libre spectacle, Mesoamerican mythology, bold Meximalist design, and raw emotional storytelling collide. In this exclusive WonderCon conversation presented by ASIFA-Hollywood, Gutierrez reveals how the theatrical energy of wrestling—its masks, archetypes, legacy, and larger-than-life drama—transforms into unforgettable animated characters and richly layered worlds. He is joined by character designer and voice actress Sandra Equihua (El Tigre, The Book of Life, Maya and the Three, El Guapo, and I, Chihuahua,) and art director/visual development artist Roman Laney (El Tigre, The Book of Life, El Guapo, and I, Chihuahua). This creative team shares behind-the-scenes insights into their collaborative process, artistic evolution, and the fearless world-building that defines their work.
Republic Records: Kids & Family presents the third and fourth albums for the beloved Nickelodeon animated series, The Wild Thornberrys.
The Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 soundtracks contain the scores composed by Drew Neumann.
The soundtrack are available to stream/download on all major digital music services.
The label has previously released the first two volumes for the series.
The Wild Thornberrys is created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, David Silverman, Stephen Sustarsic & Steve Pepoon, directed by Cathy Malkasian, Sylvia Keulen, Carol Millican, Steve Ressel, Becky Bristow, Mark Risley, Ron Noble, Peter Avanzino, Anthony Bell, Frank Marino and with the voices of Lacey Chabert, Jodi Carlisle, Tim Curry, Danielle Harris, Tom Kane, Flea, Keith Szarabajka, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Christopher Masterson, and Dee Bradley Baker.
Meet Nigel, nature show host, his wife, cinematographer Marianne, Debbie, the quintessential teen, Donnie, the family's wild child, and Eliza, a 12-year-old adventurer who can secretly talk to animals. Thank goodness, cause her best pal is a chimpanzee. The Wild Thornberrys ran between 1998 and 2004 on Nickelodeon and is currently available to stream on Paramount+.
Drew Neumann has written music for 84 episodes of the hit The Wild Thornberrys and 52 episodes of the series Aaahh!!! Real Monsters for the award-winning animation studio Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon. He also scored episodes of The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne for Cartoon Network, and Bravest Warriors for Frederator.
Drew composed the music and designed and recorded the voices and sound effects for episodes of Æon Flux shorts from the cutting-edge animation series Liquid Television on MTV and went on to score 10 half-hour episodes of Aeon Flux when it was picked up as a series.
Drew''s credits also include sound design and composition for numerous bumpers, trailers, icons, closes and promos for feature films and television. His work with Disney Feature Animation is highlighted by sound effects and sound effects design for Beauty and the Beast, Rollercoaster Rabbit and Off His Rockers. He has composed music for Disney Television Animation, E! Entertainment Television's Talk Soup, and for leading advertising agencies including Daily and Associates (California Lottery and Honda) and Wieden and Kennedy (Sega).
In addition, he has contributed sound design and music composition for a variety of synthesizers, sound libraries, and software and computer products, and assisted Moog Music with the development of the TEC Award Winning app 'Animoog.'
Neumann has an enormous collection of exotic, acoustic and electronic instruments which have found their way into his soundtracks over the years -- from Koto to Djembe, Chapman Stick to Moog, native flutes to digerdoo, Neumann has blended the world of sounds into his music.
