The series, a new 2D-animated series inspired by the beloved Care Bears, features 48 x 11’ regular episodes, 2 x 22’ specials and 20 x 20” shorts designed to provide a special comedic focus on individual bears. Care Bears: Unlock the Magic follows its characters who throughout the series use their belly-badge powers to spread messages of sharing, caring, friendship and courage while making sure they have plenty of laughs along the way.
Care Bears: Unlock the Magic is a fresh, “retro-forward” take on the venerable brand that simultaneously invokes the most beloved elements of the very first 1980’s Care Bears TV series (e.g.: 2D animation, an adventure theme and iconic brand memes like the world famous “Care Bears Stare”) as well as all-new elements for a modern audience (more VFX, new comedic characters, more Care Bear powers and never-before seen fantasy environments).
