Karisma Hotels & Resorts’ Marketing Provider Announces Leadership Promotions

Premier Worldwide Marketing, the sales and marketing provider for Karisma Hotels & Resorts, has announced several promotions to its executive leadership team as it embarks on an ambitious growth trajectory, including at least five hotel openings in 2021. Elizabeth Fettes has been named chief marketing and sales officer and Marilyn Cairo and Rienk De Jong have both been named vice presidents of sales and marketing.


Following three years leading Karisma’s marketing efforts, in her new role as chief marketing and sales officer, Fettes will drive the company forward as it debuts major brands and new properties across the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville Island Reserve brands. She will remain dedicated to developing solutions, driving results, increasing collaborations and streamlining communications to enhance brand performance across the portfolio, according to Premier Worldwide Marketing. Prior to joining Premier in 2018, Fettes oversaw the strategy and execution of the cruise experience across multiple channels and key audience segments for both Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Royal Caribbean Group with responsibility for building brand awareness and driving conversions globally.

As vice president of sales and marketing, Cairo will lead the division centered on properties including the El Dorado Spa Resorts, Generations Riviera Maya, Hidden Beach Au Naturel Resort and Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, which is slated to open in June 2021. She joined the company in September 2017 as senior director of retail sales for North America and demonstrated an ability to deliver results through accountability and strategic platforms, which she will continue to leverage for retails, weddings, groups and more. Cairo’s travel industry career spans over 28 years. 

As vice president of sales and marketing, De Jong will lead the portfolio of brands including Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, Azul Beach Resorts and Margaritaville Island Reserve. With a tenure of 20 years, De Jong has risen through the ranks after joining the organization as director of sales and marketing for El Dorado Spa Resorts and is credited with bringing the “gourmet-inclusive” concept to the market. De Jong will continue to leverage partner connections and strategic initiatives for the organization as a whole. 

Both VPs will provide a strong strategic direction for Premier Worldwide Marketing, focusing on global sales strategy, marketing execution, hotel portfolio sales, owner relations, openings and broad revenue maximization strategies. 

Karisma Hotels & Resorts has a pipeline of Mexico and Caribbean openings slated this year, including the Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya in June 2021 and Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana and Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya later in the year.

Sonic Drive-In Launches 'Power Rangers Beast Morphers' Promotion

It’s time to unleash the beast at SONIC DRIVE-IN!


The popular North American drive-in fast food chain is now offering Power Rangers Beast Morphers toys with each Kids Meal purchase (known at SONIC as Wacky Pack Kids Meals).

Fans can collect four toys in total:

• Beast Morphers Red Ranger
• Beast Morphers Blue Ranger
• Beast Morphers Yellow Ranger
• Evox

Each of the core three Rangers will allow buyers to unlock a special battle damage effect where the helmet visors shatter just like a real fight scene! Each toy also comes packaged with special stickers and animation cards that fans can also collect.

The toys are available now at Sonic Drive-In restaurants, and will be on sale for a limited time only. Be sure to check your local Sonic Drive-In diner soon to pick up your Power Rangers Beast Morphers toys.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will have 22 episodes, and air on Nickelodeon USA throughout 2019. Episodes currently air every Saturday at 8am ET on Nickelodeon.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will also launch on Nickelodeon Germany, Switzerland and Austria on Monday 19th August 2019

Named by Adweek as one of the "50 Most Indispensable Executives in Marketing, Media and Tech" as well as one of the top Chief Marketing Technology Officers, Mr. Wolfe Pereira has more than two decades of experience building brands at the intersection of technology, entertainment, advertising, media and marketing. A Co-Founder of Encantos, Mr. Wolfe Pereira will assume day-to-day leadership of the Company and will also continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He will be based in Culver City, California.

Before joining Encantos, Mr. Wolfe Pereira was the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Quantcast. Previously, he also served as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Neustar (acquired by Golden Gate Capital) and at Datalogix (acquired by Oracle). Mr. Wolfe Pereira has also held executive roles at Publicis Groupe, Univision and Akamai Technologies. He began his career in finance, focused on technology, media and telecom mergers and acquisitions, working at firms including The Blackstone Group, Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup) and Violy, Byorum & Partners. A passionate supporter of women and diversity initiatives as well as STEAM education, Mr. Wolfe Pereira serves as a board director of the Ad Council, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the Kapor Center’s SMASH program and the Presidio Graduate School. He earned a B.A. from Tufts University, was a Fulbright Scholar and completed the Greater Boston Executive MBA Program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Mr. Wolfe Pereira succeeds Nuria Santamaria Wolfe, an Encantos Co-Founder who has been serving as Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Rainbow And Kellogg's Team For "Regal Academy" Promotion

Rainbow has entered a promotional partnership with Kellogg's for Regal Academy to feature the popular animated series on the food manufacturing company's packaging, including on Rice Krispies cereal boxes, from Monday 31st October 2016 and Tuesday 7th February 2017!


The promotion will also include a competition where consumers can win a "Magic Regal" weekend and prizes everyday such as fashion dolls from Giochi Preziosi, DVDs from Koch Media and books from Fabbri Editore.

Regal Academy is a brand-new funny and exciting animated series (26 episodes X 26') from Winx Club creator Rainbow that brings classic fairy tale characters into the modern world. Using a a mixture of comedy, music and innovative animation techniques, the new show takes the familiar world of fairy tales and turns it upside down by adding a delicious and charming twist.


The action takes place through the eyes of Rose Cinderella, a average teenage girl who's as obsessed with shoes as she is fairy tales. But when she finds a key that unlocks a magical new world, she learns that fairy tales are not just in storybooks!

When Rose tumbles into Fairy Tale Land, she discovers something even greater--her own magical family legacy! Her grandmother Cinderella is headmistress of Regal Academy, where five famous fairy tale families come together to teach the next generation of princes and princesses how to become heroes... with a lot of help from their legendary grandparents.


Now Rose and her new best friends – Astoria Rapunzel, Joy Le Frog, Travis Beast, LingLing Iron Fan and Hawk Snowwhite, all of whom belong to the school's founding families – figure out how to fly dragons and outsmart witches, all while learning to use their magic and live up to their famous family names. Can they make the grade?

Created and produced by Rainbow in collaboration with Rai Fiction, Regal Academy premiered in Italy last May on Rai YoYo and has been sold in more than 120 countries. Nickelodeon acquired the global broadcast rights To Regal Academy in October 2015, and is currently rolling the all-new series on Nickelodeon channels globally, including on Nick USA, where the show debuted on Saturday 13th August 2016.

Rainbow's new IP also has more than 80 licensing agreements to its name.

Regal Academy is the latest property created and developed by Rainbow, the force behind Winx Club, whose consumer products sales generated more than US$2 billion at global retail last year.

In additional Rainbow news, the Italian animation studio has tapped toy company Simba Dickie Group to release the first products for its live action girls' series Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends.

The new toy collection for Maggie & Bianca includes fashion art and crafts, role play, musical and electronic items. It also aims to embody the concept of "expressing yourself" by allowing girls to enter the world of the show and find and express their own style and personality.

The new toy line is now hitting shelves throughout Europe.
