Is it True That Steve Burns Left 'Blue's Clues' for the Afghanistan War?

The claim: Steve Burns left 'Blue's Clues' in 2002 to fight against the Taliban

Millennials on Sept. 7 received an emotional message from a childhood friend in a green striped shirt: Steve Burns, the host of Nickelodeon's beloved preschool series Blue's Clues.

In his two-minute video message, posted to Nickelodeon's Twitter in time for the show's 25th anniversary, Burns addressed his sudden walkout from the show in 2002 after six years and 100 episodes.

"I just kinda got up and went to college," he said. "And that was really challenging by the way, but great because I got to use my mind and take a step at a time and now I literally am doing many of the things that I wanted to do.”

After Burns' shocking departure, many speculated about what happened, sharing made-up theories that he left because of a drug abuse problem and that he had been killed in a car crash.

His return was met with similar speculation. On social media, many claimed the actor had actually joined the U.S. military and deployed to Afghanistan.

Pictures of Burns wearing the same hat and glasses he wore in the video message have been shared widely, showing him also dressed in military gear, with a vest and camouflage.

Along with the picture, users have also shared a screengrab of Burns' Wikipedia page, which reads: "He is best known as the original host of the long-running children's preschool television program Blue's Clues from 1996 until 2002 ... and for serving as an operator in clandestine operations against the Taliban from 2002 to 2021."

The image, shared on Instagram Sept. 13, accrued more than 4,400 likes within a day of being posted.

A similar image posted Sept. 10, a screenshot of Burns' video with a digitally added military vest and patches, accrued more than 150,000 likes within four days. Both images now have a "False Information" warning.

But Burns' silence after leaving the show wasn't due to top secret missions. He was making music and acting.

USA TODAY reached out to the poster for comment.

Burns' Wikipedia page can be edited by anyone

The claim that Burns was deployed to Afghanistan for the majority of the war is based on an image of his Wikipedia page and the assumption that he "disappeared" at the beginning of the war and only "reappeared" in 2021, as an Instagram post says.

For a brief time, Burns' Wikipedia page did say that he served as "an operator in clandestine operations against the Taliban" from 2002 until 2021, when the last of the U.S. troops in Afghanistan left the country.

But that doesn't mean it's true. Anyone can edit any information posted on the majority of pages on the online encyclopaedia, with a few locked so that only certified users can edit them.

The revision history of Burns' page shows there were about 70 different changes made between Sept. 8, the day after Burns' video was posted on Twitter, and Sept. 11.

There were at least four changes that added uncorroborated information regarding his purported role in the Afghanistan War: that he was part of clandestine operations in Afghanistan; he was the CIA station chief in Pakistan; he served in the special forces against al-Qaida; and that he joined the French armed services to fight "his own war on terror" under a different name.

All these claims are false and were almost immediately deleted by other Wikipedia users because there weren't any "reliable sources" confirming them, according to Wikipedia's edit history.

In fact, there's no evidence Burns ever joined the armed forces or deployed to Afghanistan.

USA TODAY reached out to Burns for comment.

'It was just simply time to go'

While Burns wasn't in the public eye as much as he was when he hosted Blue's Clues, he remained in the music and acting industry.

"I knew I wasn't going to be doing children's television all my life," he said in Behind The Clues - 10 Years Of Blue, a 2006 Nickelodeon interview for the 10th anniversary of the show. "Mostly because I refused to lose my hair on a kids' TV show. And it was happening, fast."

It wasn't just about the hair, however. In a live performance in 2011, Burns said another reason he left was that he didn't feel like he was "the right guy" for the job. He didn't think he was qualified to be a good example for growing kids around the world, he said.

"My contract was up for renewal and I was starting to seriously think: 'As great as this is, they might have the wrong guy,'" he said to an audience at The Moth, a storytelling organization. "Maybe this should be a teacher or a child development specialist."

And in a HuffPost interview in 2016, Burns said the original creators of the show were moving on to other projects in the early 2000s.

"I left the show because it was just simply time to go," he told HuffPost. "I was getting older; I was losing my hair, a lot of the original gangsters on the show, like the people who created it, were all moving on to other careers. It just felt like time."

Burns moved on to make music, TV shows

Burns moved on to make music, though that hadn't been his plan. He told HuffPost his music career was "just a wonderful dream come true, a hobby thing that happened" after the show.

He has released a number of albums.

One of his songs, "Mighty Little Man," later became the theme song for the TV show Young Sheldon, in which Burns made a cameo in an episode in 2020.

Burns didn't only do music, however. He told Business Insider he's done extensive "behind the camera, voiceover work."

"If you hear a guy that sounds like the 'Blue's Clues' guy trying to sell you insurance, or a car, or something, that's me," he said.

Most recently, Burns went back to work in the reboot of the show, Blue's Clues and You.  Burns wrote and directed on the new show, occasionally making guest appearances. He even helped pick the new host, Joshua Dela Cruz.

Fact rating: False

Based on USA Today's research, they have rated FALSE the claim that Burns left Blue's Clues in 2002 to fight against the Taliban. Burns said in interviews he left for a number of reasons, including that he didn't want to lose his hair on children's television and, "It just felt like time." In the last two decades, Burns released music albums, made cameo appearances on TV, did voiceover work, and, most recently, returned to TV for a reboot of Blue's Clues as a writer and occasional guest star.

Here’s What The Cast Of Nickelodeon’s ‘Unfabulous’ Look Like Now, 10 Years Later

Today, NickALive! celebrates the 10th anniversary of the final episode of Nickelodeon’s hit musical comedy series Unfabulous, which starred Emma Roberts and ran for 41 episodes over three seasons from 2004 to Dec. 16, 2007. The series, which followed the the lives of music-loving teenager Addie (Roberts) and her friends, ended 10 years ago with an hour-long TV movie, “The Best Trip Ever.”

Emma Roberts starred as Addie on Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous” from 2004 to 2007. Photo: Nickelodeon

Fellow Nickelodeon shows that ran during the same time as Unfabulous were series such as Drake & Josh, Ned’s Declassified, Romeo! and Zoey 101. Clearly, the show was in great company.

Most of these shows wrapped around the same time, making room for a new wave of Nickelodeon programs. While the shows the shows that followed were and are just as amazing, it’s important to celebrate each important era of Nick television, and today, that celebration belongs to one era, and one series, in particular.

Unfabulous kicked off Roberts’ career and proved that shows could include music without it having to be a high-class production. The show’s “Unfabulous and More” CD was a hit, and it gave middle schoolers the escape they needed, while also allowing them to realize they’re not alone in their situations of friend fights, first crushes and bullies.

Fans have the far-from-unfabulous cast to greatly thank for all of that, as well as creator Sue Rose. In the 10 years since the show wrapped, the actors and actresses involved have only gone on to prove just how wonderful of a launch show this was. Check out where they are now.

What Happened to ‘The Adventures of Pete and Pete’? | Great Big Story

Nickelodeon’s hit series The Adventures of Pete and Pete was one of the weirdest and most lovable kids shows of the ‘90s. Why Did "iCarly" End? Answers to This and Your Other Burning Questions | #iCarly10

It's hard to believe it's been five years since iCarly ended, but it's even harder to believe that it's ten years since the first episode aired! iCarly all started back in 2007, with "iPilot" being released on Nickelodeon USA on September 8th of that year. Just like that, we were introduced to web star Carly, her best friends Sam and Freddie, and her crazy brother Spencer. From that moment on, fans lives would never be the same. The show ran for an impressive seven seasons, becoming Nickelodeon’s longest running sitcom, and in that time we saw plenty of romantic drama between the three best friends, a slew of incredible guest stars, including Emma Stone, Jack Black, One Direction, and Michelle Obama, and even a crossover with Victorious!

Fans were pretty heartbroken when they watched "iGoodbye," and saw Carly leave Seattle and her web show behind her in order to live with her dad. There were definitely some questions that fans were left with after the finale, for example, would Carly and Freddie end up together? Might he end up with Sam instead? Did the gang ever reunite to make more hilarious videos? In addition to all of that, fans were also asking themselves: why did such an amazing show have to come to an end?

There were a few different rumors floating around. Some people said that the show wasn't getting good enough ratings; however, this was far from the truth. The last season had just nine episodes, but pulled in 3.87 million viewers! The show had plenty of critical acclaim as well. It was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program five times. So if it wasn't the ratings, why did the show end?

Why did iCarly end?

Well, J-14 did some digging, and found a few answers. The main one is that the show's star, Miranda Cosgrove, was headed off to college. Although she was just 14 when the show started, by the time it was over she was done with high school and ready to head off to university! Miranda was a straight A student and accepted a place at University of Southern California to study the cinematic arts. In fact, soon after the show wrapped up, she revealed, "I went right into college after we shot the show." That proves that she seriously kept the show going for as long as she possibly could, before starting life as a USC student.

In addition, the cast had grown up a lot since the show started, and the time was right for them to move onto other projects. Luckily, we didn't have to say goodbye to all our favorite characters right away, because iCarly creator Dan Schneider made a spin-off show starring Carly's ham-loving accomplice, Sam. The new show, Sam & Cat, starred Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande, bringing together two fan favorite Nickelodeon characters from iCarly and Victorious to embark on new adventures as a mismatched pair who start a babysitting business. One special episode also featured Jennette's former iCarly co-star Nathan Kress from iCarly and Ariana's former Victorious guest stars Matt Bennett and Elizabeth Gillies. Another special featured Jennette reuniting with another former iCarly star, Danielle Morrow. Sadly, despite incredible viewership, the show only lasted one season. There were rumors of a rift between Jennette and Ariana (these rumors were later proved wrong), and with both pursuing music careers and acting projects, the show sadly came to an end.

Is iCarly coming back?
While iCarly isn't getting another spin-off at the moment, you'll get to see Freddie on TV again! Nathan Kress is guest-starring on an upcoming episode of Game Shakers called "Game Shippers." He will finally debunk the central love triangle of the show — did Freddie love Carly or Sam? — as well as relive some of the most iconic iCarly moments. He will be playing himself in the episode, premiering Saturday, September 9th @ 8PM ET/PT on Nick USA. In honor of the 10-year anniversary of the premiere, Nickelodeon will also run an iCarly marathon from September 4, 2017 through September 7, 2017 on TeenNick.

What is the iCarly cast doing now?
Now, some time has passed, so J-14 went to find out what all the stars are up to now, so keep reading for updates. Most of the cast is still involved in the entertainment industry, in some form or another.

Carly from iCarly was played by Miranda Cosgrove. What is she doing now?

In addition to studying at USC, Miranda is still acting. Her biggest projects since her iCarly days have been the Despicable Me movies, where she voices Margo. She also starred in the horror film The Intruders with Austin Butler.

Sam from iCarly was played by Jennette McCurdy. What is she doing now?

Jennette has been killing it, starring in a bunch of movies and TV shows. One of her most famous projects is the Netflix series Between, which she has the starring role on. Oh, and she's still BFFs with Miranda Cosgrove. Their friendship is everything you want it to be and more.

Freddie from iCarly was played by Nathan Kress. What is he doing now?

You can find me on my porch, in my rocking chair, polishing my shotgun, for the next 18 to 40 years.

A post shared by Nathan Kress (@nathankress) on

You remember him as the nerdy kid across the hall who had a crush on Carly, but Nathan has done some serious growing up since iCarly. He's now married, and even has a baby on the way! Pretty much the whole cast showed up to his wedding, giving fans one of the cutest reunion photos ever. Nathan has also stayed in the Nickelodeon family, directing episodes of Henry Danger and Game Shakers. Nathan also reunited with Jennette for a short film earlier this year titled "8 Bodies".

Spencer from iCarly was played by Jerry Trainor. What is he doing now?

He was Carly's artistic older brother, who's art projects made from some truly hilarious comedy. Since fans loved Spencer Shay so much on iCarly, its pleasing to reveal that, amongst other small acting parts, Jerry still plays Spencer in certain Nickelodeon shows, most recently this year on Game Shakers!

Gibby from iCarly was played by Noah Munck.

We all remember when little Gibby got big, but what's he up to now? Noah Munck is both an actor and musician, and you can catch him producing electronic music under the stage name NoxiK. He also has a recurring role on the sitcom The Goldbergs, which is coming soon to Nick at Nite and TV Land!

So there you have it, iCarly had a great run, and its great to see that the cast are still in touch, and all doing so well!

Steve Burns Is Alive & Well; Explains Why He Left "Blue's Clues" 15 Years Ago

When fans saw him last, Steve Burns, the US host of Blue's Clues (Kevin Duala hosted the UK version of Blue's Clues), hopped on a computer-animated bus and 'went to college' wearing a baseball cap and carrying his suitcase. Back then Steve wore a green striped rugby shirt and pleated khaki pants – something he's still embarrassed by today.

Steve Burns, pictured today at 43, was the first host of the Nickelodeon children's show Blue's Clues until he suddenly left in 2002. One of the reasons he left was because he was going bald and he didn't want to lose all his hair on children's TV

That was 15 years ago. Gone are the rugby shirt, the pleated pants and especially the boyish haircut. At 43, Steve is bald, which is one of the reasons he left the show.

Steve, pictured with his cartoon costar Blue, was the host of the beloved show for seven years. He was the only human on the show, surrounded by cartoons like Blue, and he spoke directly to viewers

'I was going bald and I kind of looked around and I'm like – the people who decided that I should wear these pants are not going to choose a wig with any dignity for me. It's just not going to happen,' Steve told DailyMail.com, laughing.

But for the children who watched and loved Blue's Clues, Steve's goodbye from the show seemed sudden. It was such a big deal that people are still talking about it 15 years later.

'Everyone wants there to be a dramatic answer and there's not. I wish I had a cool answer for this, but I just - I did it for like seven years and it just seemed like time to go. It just seemed like the right time,' he said.

'I was just getting older and I kind of occupied this weird older brother space on that show. Like I was sort of an adult, but not really.'
He added: 'It just really felt like a good, comfortable time to go and I felt like this show is awesome - and it felt like a very comfortable thing. There wasn't any weird dramatic or more interesting answer than that.'

His leaving the show was also surrounded by some less-than-pleasant rumors. Hoaxes saying he had died from a drug overdose or was killed in a car accident were prevalent for years. After hearing some of the first rumors, Steve's mom called him crying, to make sure he was okay.

Of course he was okay, Steve had just stepped out of the spotlight to go back to his career as a voice over artist. Working on-screen with Blue's Clues was 'kind of the anomaly' and he didn't really want to continue down that path.

'To be honest with you, I was just really burned out. I was in every take of every show every day for all those years on a blue screen, so I was like, I just didn't have any more performance left in the show business land.'

When Steve left in 2002, producers made sure it was well structured. They brought in Steve's 'younger brother Joe' played by Donovan Patton to meet the children as they eased Steve out so he could 'go to college'

For seven years, Steve played the only live-action character on Nickelodeon's hit animated series, Blue's Clues. Created for children in preschool, Blue's Clues was unlike most other television shows of its time in the mid-90s.

Steve, who was replaced by Joe, spoke directly to viewers and asked them for help to solve games and puzzles that their animated dog Blue would lead them through. She would leave her blue paw print on objects throughout their cartoon house and Steve would draw or write down each clue in his 'handy dandy notebook'. At the end of each 30 minute episode, he would sit in his 'Thinking Chair' to figure out what Blue's message was.

In every episode of the show, Steve, pictured right, wore the same iconic striped green rugby shirt and the same pleated khaki pants, which he wasn't too thrilled with. When he explained leaving the show, he said: 'I was going bald and I kind of looked around and I'm like – the people who decided that I should wear these pants are not going to choose a wig with any dignity for me. It's just not going to happen.' Steve is pictured with the other cartoon characters and his 'younger brother Joe', left, right before Steve 'left for college'

'It was a really incredibly made show,' Steve said. 'I was just a guy on it. But Angela Santomero, who invented Blue's Clues was a genius and she did a lot of crazy risks that are now normal. Now every TV show talks to you.'

The entire show, from the colors that were used for the animation to the short songs and dances, was specifically designed to help with early childhood development. It eventually became one of the highest-rated television shows for preschoolers in America and there were off-shoots of the show all over the world.

Even Steve's goodbye in 2002 was planned strategically so that young viewers wouldn't be shocked or too upset. They made sure to find a good match to play Steve's 'younger brother Joe', played by Donovan Patton.

Producers also eased Steve out in 'baby steps'. They had a three-part special where Joe came to the house to learn to play Blue's Clues, Steve told viewers he was going to college and Steve packed and left. Joe took over playing 'Blue's Clues' with the children and Blue and when Steve said goodbye, he was sure to thank the children for helping him grow.

Show creators compared the transition to meeting a new babysitter or going to school for the first time and they wanted to be sure that the children would be happy for Steve.

Even though he 'left for college', Steve hasn't gone too far from his Blue's Clues roots. He still has the rugby shirt – though he says it doesn't fit anymore – and he even has the original Thinking Chair in his Brooklyn apartment, which the show producers gave him in 1999 for his 25th birthday.

Steve was given the original Thinking Chair for his 25th birthday by the Blue's Clues producers. Steve's boxer dog Mickey, pictured, loves to sit in it

He also still has a Dog, though this one isn't animated. Burgess Meredith is a boxer dog named after the actor, though Steve calls him Mickey, after Meredith's character in the Rocky movies. And Mickey loves to sit in the Thinking Chair.

One of the more dramatic changes in Steve's life is his appearance. Today people hardly believe he was once the beloved children's host who danced, sang and 'wailed' every time he got the mail. With his glasses and lack of hair, Steve looks nothing like he did when he hosted Blue's Clues 20 years ago.

Even though Steve looks nothing like he used to when he was the host of Blue's Clues, pictured right, his social media pages have thousands of followers plenty of comments from fans - parents and their now grown-up children - telling him how much they loved him on the show

'It's sometimes a bit of a struggle to convince people that I was, in fact, that friendly man-child, but I usually just say, why would I lie about that? What a weird lie, to try to tell someone. Why would I lie about that?

'If I was going to lie about it, I'd say: Actually, I'm Ryan Gosling,' he laughed.

Even with the convincing, Steve's Blue's Clues fans – the parents and their now grown-up children – constantly comment on his social media pages about how much they love him. Even though the attention is constant, Steve was almost offended at the suggestion that he might be tired of it. More than anything, he's humbled by his fans.

'I'm actually quite touched by it,' he said. 'That feels like several lifetimes ago for me and the fact that it's still relevant at all or that there are still children who watch it or that there are young adults who remember it so fondly is a real honor and really really nice.'

Steve, pictured as a unicorn, said he is flattered by all of the attention from his Blue's Clues fans and feels honored that the show had such an impact on people who still remember it today

What's not so nice are the death rumors that surrounded him when he left Blue's Clues and still persist today. Some rumors said that Steve had been arrested for heroin possession or was actually a adult movie star.

Rumors of his death were more prevalent. The two most popular being that he was run over by a car or had died from a heroin overdose.

Steve was also surrounded by rumors when he was on Blue's Clues, but they escalated when he left in 2002 and still persist today. The worst ones said he died either in a car accident or from a heroin overdose. Of course none of the rumors are true

'It's awkward. It's not pleasant,' he said. 'It's bizarre and surreal. I think that perhaps Blue's Clues and that rumor kind of started in the age when the internet was really kind of becoming a place where people sought news,' Steve said. 'So I think it was a little extra sneaky because of that. But other than that, I couldn't tell you where it started or why it started or why it persists. I really couldn't.'

The rumors have even been tackled by urban myth-busting websites that suggest another of Steve's television appearances is what launched the rumors.

In 1995 Steve appeared on an episode of Law and Order where his character, Kevin Jeffries, died in police custody after police thought he was on drugs. They later discovered he was autistic.

For a young child who might have seen the episode and been unable to distinguish Steve from Blue's Clues and his Law and Order character, his 'death' might cause confusion and be an easy place to start a rumor.

Steve and Steven Drozd created their children's album, Foreverywhere, starting in 2005. It took them 12 years to release the album because 'we just did it whenever we had free weekends', Steve said. He is pictured at his album release show in February

And the rumors continued, even getting worse.

In 2015 a fake news site posted a report saying Steve had died in a car accident after wrecking a Dodge Charger. That was Steve's least favorite because he 'would never drive a Charger,' he told Business Insider.

The rumors were so persistent that he made both his Instagram and Twitter account handles SteveBurnsAlive, showing he does have a sense of humor even about the death rumors.

'Sometimes I wonder if it's true,' he joked. 'I'm reasonably sure that it's not.'

There was another rumor that went around after he left the show. This one less sinister, saying he left the show so he could pursue a career in music. Though that wasn't exactly why he left, Steve has since released three albums.

His first album, Songs for Dustmites, was released in 2003, a year after he left Blue's Clues. Then in 2009 he released Deep Sea Recovery Efforts. Steve worked with members of the Flaming Lips on both albums and soon became fast friends with Steven Drozd, the rock band's drummer.

Together, as SteveNSteven, the two have just released another album together, this time for kids.

Foreverywhere was released on February 24, 12 years after the two started working on it. It all started in 2005 when Steve was asked to write a song for Nickelodeon's children's TV show Jack's Big Music Show. He invited Drozd to work on it with him.

'That was just so much fun when we did that that we kind of in the moment said, whenever we get enough free time, we need to make a children's album. And then we just did it whenever we had free weekends over the next however many years.'

The album has 11 songs and three follow the story of a unicorn and a rocker rainbow princess. The two came up with the idea after someone in children's entertainment advised them to write songs 'for girls'.

'We kind of didn't like that. We were like, why isn't this song about a meteorite for a girl?' Steve said. 'We just, we kind of balked at that. And then I had the idea like, okay, sure. I'll write a song about rainbow princesses and unicorns and I'll take all of these clichés, but we'll make it Ziggy Stardust and we'll really change these ideas and we'll make the rainbow princess a complete badass who plays guitar better than anyone in the universe.'

Their goal was to create a record that created 'a sense of quest' and was more expressive and meaningful than typical children's music. Using the narrative of the unicorn and the rainbow princess, they tackled emotions like longing, inspiration and sadness. They even wrote a song about courage through potty training called OK Toilet Bowl.

Steve said about Foreverywhere: 'The way we approached it was: it is music that is for kids, maybe. And maybe some of it is for adults. But it's all definitely both. We both believe that there's a huge amount of overlap between what makes music awesome for kids and what makes music awesome for adults'

He added: 'If it's a funny song, it had to make us laugh. And if it's an inspirational song, it had to inspire us. And if it's a sad song, it had to move us. That was our criteria in the studio.'

What's funny is that Steve, now a famous children's entertainer, never thought this is where his life was going.

'I never intended to be in children's entertainment at all,' he said. 'I didn't even know any kids when I started Blue's Clues. And I think that was part of the success, if I had any success as the host of that show, I think it's because I was coming at it from a very different angle… I was kind of doing it the way that I was comfortable with.'

He added: 'But the show itself, with the way that the internet now works and things live forever, it was a very iconic thing, but we did that on purpose. I wore the same shirt every day. And it becomes like a very indelible character.

Steve, pictured with Steven Drozd for their album release, said: 'I think I will always be known as the possibly dead guy from Blue's Clues and I'm very proud to have been on that show. It's always going to be something I'll be associated with, but that's a pretty good thing, I think'

The Cast Of Nickelodeon's "Hey Arnold!" All Grown Up

London's Metro News has imagined what the characters from the popular Classic Nickelodeon original animated series Hey Arnold! would look like grown up!

Hey Arnold! originally ran between 1996 and 2004 and focused on a football-headed fourth-grader who lived with his grandparents in a boarding house. The series quickly became one of Nickelodeon's most popular Nicktoons.

When the show aired, the lead character (and football head), Arnold, was nine years old, which means he’d be 29 now.

In tribute, Metro.co.uk has thought about what Arnold and co would be doing today, and worked with one of their illustrators, Dave Anderson, to create these. Here's what Metro News think the stars of Hey Arnold! would look like now!:

Arnold Shortman:

Arnold is working in Silicon Valley, where he cycles to his job as a social media officer for a poorly-funded humanitarian charity.

He tries to bench in his spare time but is struggling to get the Instagram body he desires.

He still plays the harmonica, but now he does it ironically in a folk band called Sunset Arms.

Sadly Phil and Gertie have passed on, and he used the money they left him to fund a short-lived career touring his band round the States.

He has a girlfriend called May, who looks suspiciously like Lila Sawyer, who he met while studying social science at college.

In his free time Arnold plays Uncharted 4 against Gerald, while May watches Keeping Up With The Kardashians in their tiny house share.

He still isn’t sure about Helga.

Helga is working on the Republican campaign and plans to be the first female president, because she thinks Hilary Clinton is too soft, although she approves of her pants suits.

She is still followed round by Brain, who has become hench thanks to a worrying amount of protein shakes, and is now her bodyguard.

Sometimes Helga stalks Arnold on social media (but doesn’t write anything, obviously) but only when she’s bored.

It will be a cold day in heck before she wears a pink ribbon again.

Rhonda Wellington Lloyd

Rhonda is now a fashion blogger, because of course she is.

She has a combined following of 2.5million and only works with brands she really believes match her core values.

That cold-pressed coffee shop you think is the coolest? She used to go there – about two years ago.

Harold Berman:

The boy who began as the bully of the show now runs a used car business.

He is married to Lisa, a girl he met in High School, and they have two daughters – Harriet, who’s as quiet and subtle as her Dad is loud, and Dee, who’s obsessed with DC Comics.

Gerald Martin Johanssen:

Arnold's best friend has moved from Hillwood to Miami, where he runs a night club called Urban Legend.

As in the show, he is still a ladies’ man, although he has put on weight following years of excess on the local scene.

He and Arnold grew apart when they went to different universities, but almost every year they get together for a lads’ weekend with Stinky Pete and Sid.

Nickelodeon are currently making a brand-new two-part Hey Arnold! TV movie! Slated to premiere on Nickelodeon USA in November 2017, the television movie will feature a storyline that picks up from where the original series ended in 2004 and will resolve unanswered questions and plotlines - including Arnold finally getting answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents. Craig Bartlett returns as writer and executive producer of the new film, which is being produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, California. The movie is also speculated to feature original voice actors Marie Smith, Anndi McAfee and Olivia Hack.

The Casts Of Nickelodeon's Classic Nicktoons "Rugrats" And "Hey Arnold!" All Grown Up

The British national daily newspaper 'The Guardian' is reporting in the following article from the 'Art and Design' column on their official website, guardian.co.uk, the fantastic Nicktoons news that Omaha, Nebraska-based artist Celeste Pille has imagined what the characters from the popular Classic Nickelodeon original animated shows "Rugrats" and "Hey Arnold!" would look like grown up! Apparently, "Hey Arnold!" creator Craig Bartlett was alerted to Pille's work by "The Simpsons" and "Futurama" creator Matt Groening. Both are said to be fans of her work.

Gerald Johanssen from Hey Arnold!

"Currently pursuing a master's degree in political science"

Helga Pataki from Hey Arnold!

"English major, recently hired as a social media manager after one year living at home and another year spent in a thankless, penniless internship".

Charles "Chuckie" Finster from Rugrats

"Channelled his anxiety into writing and performing, and now finds himself a burgeoning slam poetry superstar. During the day you'll find him coaching forensics".

Kimi Finster from Rugrats

"Journalism major recently accepted into Stanford's Documentary and Film Master of Fine Arts programme. Her video project on blended families and cultures made for a standout portfolio. She eagerly anticipates the amount of travel her career will demand and looks forward to many collaborative projects with Tommy Pickles".

Angelica Pickles from Rugrats

"Angelica went on to internet fame for her terrible song, Weekend, and its even more terrible music video (produced by Ark Music Factory and paid for by her parents), and just when everyone thought her 15 minutes were up she leveraged her awesomely bad song's popularity into a reality show on Bravo called Fallen Angelica. She may not be a good singer, but she's shrewd, ambitious and makes for incredibly quotable television"

Arnold from Hey Arnold!

"Philosophy major, currently working on his certification in professional building design. Builds/designs furniture in his spare time".

Susie Carmichael from Rugrats

"Susie attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has achieved critical acclaim for her experimental art rock, dance-punk music, and looks forward to writing concept albums in each of the 10 languages in which she is fluent".

Tommy Pickles from Rugrats

"Tommy is honing his skills in mountain climbing, scuba diving, and paragliding to become a master at wildlife photography. He aspires to be a regular contributor to National Geographic and plans to abseil into an active volcano in the near future to capture the terrifying beauty of lava lakes".
