PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, builds on the franchise's previous box office success and continued reign as the world's most popular preschool show. Produced by Spin Master Entertainment in association with Nickelodeon Movies and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film is set for an exclusive theatrical release on July 31, 2026.

In PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, after their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the PAW Patrol crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When the PAW Patrol's arch rival, Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge, dormant volcano to erupt. The PAW Patrol are thrown into a series of high-stakes, dino-sized rescues bigger than anything they've done before, as they must stop Humdinger before everything on the island goes extinct.

February 27, 2025 – Production has wrapped on recording for the previously announced STAR TREK: KHAN, an all-new scripted audio series expanding the Star Trek Universe. STAR TREK: KHAN lead voice cast includes Naveen Andrews (“Lost”) as the iconic Khan and Wrenn Schmidt (“For All Mankind”) as Marla McGivers. The exciting expansion of the Star Trek universe will explore the dramatic untold events that unfolded in the desolate world of Ceti Alpha V after Captain Kirk left Khan and his followers stranded there, paving the way for the iconic clash in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. STAR TREK: KHAN will be available for streaming on all major podcast platforms later this year.

Paramount Global Set To Shift On DEI As Trump Directives Cycle Through Media

In a memo to staff on Wednesday, February 26, Paramount Global’s co-CEOs — George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins – advised on “changes in the way the company approaches inclusion moving forward,” the latest to capitulate to the Trump administration’s attempt to roll back DEI. “As a result, some of our policies must change to comply with these new mandates,” they said.

Following Disney and companies in media, tech and across industries, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion metric in its short-term incentive plan will disappear. The incentives will now be based on a Workforce Culture and Development qualitative metric, “focused on building a high-performing and inclusive culture, including through developing leadership and engaging our workforce. ”

The company will no longer measure “success in progress on companywide DEI initiatives, including aspirational representation goals,” the execs wrote in the memo, obtained by Deadline. It will no longer ”set or use aspirational numerical goals related to the race, ethnicity, sex or gender of hires” and has stopped collecting rata on race, ethnicity, sex or gender data for U.S. job applicants on its forms and careers page save in markets where it’s legally required to.

Paramount and many others corporate American, prodded in particular by a national conversation on race after the police murder of George Floyd in 2020, had proudly hire DEI experts and began to roll out lengthy reports with charts, graphs and lots of numbers measuring progress in diversity. This is no more.

Earlier this month, Donald Trump-appointed FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr launched an investigation of Comcast’s DEI efforts claiming they may violate equal opportunity laws.

On Friday, a federal judge issued a temporary injunction blocking President Donald Trump from enforcing a majority of two Executive Orders to eliminate DEI initiatives in government agencies, educational institutions and the private sector. The first is called Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing, the second Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity. The court ruled that both orders violate the First and Fifth Amendments and are antithetical to federal anti-discrimination law.

Hi Everyone, 

To mark the close of 2024, we wanted to update you on certain policy changes we are making. As you may be aware, the current Administration’s Executive Order, a Supreme Court decision, and federal mandates require changes in the way the company approaches inclusion moving forward. As a result, some of our policies must change to comply with these new mandates, including:  

Staffing Goals: We will no longer set or use aspirational numerical goals related to the race, ethnicity, sex or gender of hires. We continue to welcome talent of all backgrounds.   

Gender and Diversity Data: We have ended our policy of collecting race, ethnicity, sex or gender data for U.S. job applicants on our forms and careers page, except in those markets that legally require us to do so. 

In addition, we have eliminated the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” qualitative metric in our Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) for qualified participants. This metric directly connected 5% of funding for our STIP program to the company’s success in progress on companywide DEI initiatives, including aspirational representation goals. DIRECT-TO-CONSUMER

OVERVIEW

DTC saw impressive momentum in Q4, including continued earnings improvement year over-year, significant growth in subscribers and record engagement resulting in measurable revenue growth. In fact, Q4 added 5.6 million new subscribers on Paramount+, our best quarter of subscriber growth in two years, and 10 million for the full year. Paramount+ reached a new high, ranking as the #2 domestic SVOD service for hours watched across all Original Series in Q4. Paramount+ scored three of the top 10 SVOD Originals with Landman, Tulsa King and Lioness. These series drove engagement and acquisitions, along with two new Showtime series in the premium tier, The Agency and Dexter Original Sin, as well as the CBS primetime slate and new theatrical releases.

Internationally, originals and theatrical films are performing exceptionally well, including Yellowstone and South Park, which we have exclusively for SVOD. Pluto TV also had a record year, growing 16% in hours watched for Q4 year-over-year and 8% for the full year.

Q4 FINANCIALS

TV MEDIA

OVERVIEW

TV Media continues to define the linear landscape with #1 hit TV series across broadcast and cable. The NFL on CBS delivered three of the top four regular season games, averaging over 19 million viewers on broadcast, and streaming viewership was up nearly 60% for the season. The Fall 2024 primetime slate on CBS featured seven of the top 10 and over 50% of the top 30 programs, including Tracker, the most-watched series on television, and Matlock, the #1 new series. The return of Yellowstone on Paramount Network broke series records with 18 million total viewers on premiere night and remains the #1 show on cable for the quarter and the full year. The Daily Show on Comedy Central remains the #1 cable entertainment series in Late Night for both Q4 and the full year. MTV’s The Challenge, the longest running reality competition series on TV, was the #1 competition series on cable for the year. Nickelodeon’s tremendous popularity continues with both kids and preschoolers, including the #1 Kids series with SpongeBob, which is up in Paramount+ views and is the most watched Kids & Family title on the service.

▪ TV Media revenue declined 4% to $4.98 billion.

–TV Media advertising revenue decreased 4%, reflecting declines in the linear advertising market and fewer sporting events on CBS, partially offset by higher political advertising.

–TV Media affiliate and subscription revenue decreased 7% reflecting subscriber declines, partially offset by price increases.–TV Media licensing and other revenue increased 3% to $911 million.

▪ TV Media adjusted OIBDA decreased 17% to $949 million, driven by the lower revenue.

FILMED ENTERTAINMENT

OVERVIEW

Paramount Pictures’ franchise-driven strategy delivered significant revenue growth in Q4, supported by Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which is approaching nearly $500 million at the global box office, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise, and is expected to be one of the 10 most profitable Paramount Pictures releases of the last decade. Across its three installments, the Sonic the Hedgehog series has 
reached $1.2 billion at the global box office. Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II crossed $460 million globally and Smile 2 debuted at #1 at the global box office, outearning its predecessor’s opening weekend and demonstrating strength and balance of the studio’s theatrical offerings.

–Licensing and other revenues increased 17%, reflecting a higher volume of licensing of library titles and higher studio facility revenue compared with 2023, which was impacted by the labor strikes.

▪ Filmed Entertainment adjusted OIBDA decreased $66 million, as a result of marketing costs associated with the theatrical releases of five films in the quarter compared to one film in the year ago period

SKYDANCE TRANSACTIONS

Completion of the Skydance transactions is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The transactions are expected to close in the first half of 2025. Until then, Paramount continues to operate in the normal course of business.

Feb. 25, 2025 – Paramount+ today announced the production of OZZY OSBOURNE: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW, a new feature-length documentary that peers behind Ozzy’s public persona to reveal the devastating setbacks he has faced since his fateful fall in 2019. Currently in production, the project is slated to premiere on Paramount+ later this year.

This is Ozzy Osbourne like you’ve never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all-time, detailing how the singer’s world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time. Addressing his health issues and impact of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, the film showcases the central role music continues to play in Ozzy’s life – also proving his mischievous sense of humor remains resolutely intact despite it all.

“The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I’ve been through. There’s been times when I thought my number was up,” admits Ozzy. “But making music and making two albums saved me. I’d have gone nuts without music.”

Directed by BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander, the documentary began filming in early 2022, during the recording sessions for his 13th studio album, the two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning Patient Number 9. It will continue filming into summer as Ozzy attempts to take the stage for one final performance with his Black Sabbath bandmates as part of a sold-out, all-star celebration at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham on July 5.

Continues Ozzy: “My fans have supported me for so many years, and I really want to thank them and say a proper goodbye to them. That is what the Villa Park show is about.”

Featuring full access to Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne and their children, OZZY OSBOURNE: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW also includes a host of key contributors in his life, including bandmate Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist Zakk Wylde, producer Andrew Watt and friend/musician Billy Morrison, all of whom help deliver a human view of a man who remains a hero to millions.

Dylan Gilmer has lit up screens since age 6 when a video of him rapping to Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t” went viral. The young prodigy made his way to television screens in 2020 when he landed the starring role in the Nickelodeon series Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan.

The show follows the story of budding hip-hop star Young Dylan on his quest to stardom. The fun series has been a hit on the network since its premiere, as it was recently renewed for a fifth season.

“It’s a blessing. A lot of kids would do anything to have their own show about them,” the 15-year-old Gilmer told Blavity’s Shadow and Act in a recent interview. “I just got to take it all in, you know, continue to thank God, honestly.”

In the Tyler Perry-produced series, Dylan gives viewers a “small glimpse” into his real life as a music artist, son, sibling, friend and all-around regular teenager enjoying the things he loves to do.

Sports are a love incorporated into the show and his work with the network.

Gilmer donned his Philadelphia Eagles jersey to celebrate Super Bowl LIX while hosting the Super Bowl edition of NFL Slimetime along with CBS analyst and former NFL player Nate Burleson. The duo reviewed the prospects for the big game, complete with slimelights, field interviews and a special presentation of awarding the coveted Nickelodeon’s Valuable Player Award (NVP) to Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.

“Players love being a part of Nickelodeon and receiving the NVP Award. Mainly because their kids watch it; it’s such a family thing,” Gilmer said, adding the Emmy-nominated weekly series “makes the NFL more fun.”

To commemorate Black History Month, Slimetime will air a half-hour special, Game Changers, examining the journeys and triumphs of contemporary Black quarterbacks in the NFL.

Debuting on Feb. 26, the series will explore the players’ profound impact on the game, their communities and the broader narrative of race and leadership in professional football.

NFL Slimetime Presents Nickelodeon’s Game Changers will highlight the personal stories of iconic athletes, including Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels and legendary quarterbacks Doug Williams and Randall Cunningham.

The special will feature exclusive interviews, archival footage and behind-the-scenes moments. The show celebrates the cultural icons creating history and honors the trailblazers who paved the way for future generations — all topics Gilmer thinks are “very important” to younger generations.

Gilmer shared that young folks should know the history of their ancestors, especially during Black History Month.

The actor added, “Kids might not like sports, but they’re big fans of Nickelodeon, so they’re going to watch Slimetime and, you know, get a little knowledge.”

Along with the special episode of Game Changers, the Black history acknowledgment kicks off with a new episode of Young Dylan, which pays homage to the Tuskegee Airmen. The “Red Tails” episode follows Dylan facing his fear of flying after his family plans an exciting trip. Inspired by the bravery of the Tuskegee Airmen and with some help from a dream, Dylan finds the courage to take flight and lead his family on their high-flying adventure.

Gilmer said he researched the Tuskegee Airmen to prepare for filming the episode where he acted like a military pilot and said the experience helped him as an actor.

The “Red Tails” episode of Young Dylan airs on Nickelodeon on Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by NFL Slimetime Presents Nickelodeon’s Game Changers at 8 p.m. ET.
