Nickelodeon International to Premiere New 'Big Nate' Season Two Episodes In August 2026

Big Nate returns! Nickelodeon International will be premiering brand new episodes of Big Nate season two across its Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed daily 00:20 CET starting Friday 21st August 2026!

'Big Nate' season two

The newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed is currently available in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal.

The news is somewhat surprising, as Nickelodeon cancelled Big Nate, produced as a Paramount+ Original, mid-way through its second season in 2024, with the series pulled from Nickelodeon and Paramount+, both in the U.S. and internationally (where Paramount+ is available). The series later became available, complete with its unaired episodes, on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.

However, the return of Big Nate shouldn't be a complete surprise, as Nickelodeon International recently aired seasons two and three of Rugrats (2021), another Nickelodeon-produced Paramount+ Original series that was cancelled and pulled at the same time as Big Nate, which included the world premieres of many episodes.

In new episodes of the Emmy® nominated series, Nate Wright and his misfit group of friends tackle new adventures, face epic challenges and unleash their boundless imaginations at P.S. 38. This new season pushes the boundaries of visual creativity, featuring episodes with animation styles including stop-motion, shadow box theater, photogrammetry and claymation. With laughter, friendship and heaps of Nate's signature mischief, season two promises to be bigger, bolder, and funnier than ever.

In season two of Big Nate, with his extended family now in the picture, Nate Wright is tasked with embracing their cooky dynamics and checkered history while trying to win over the hearts of new crushes, forge new friendships, and even come to grips with some new critics.

At the time of posting, Nickelodeon International will be skipping three episodes in the new batch of Big Nate season two episodes: the Thanksgiving-themed "NATESgiving" (#216), the episode "Norchaborf", and the series finale, "Fuller House".

Below is a list of the currently scheduled all-new Big Nate episodes set to premiere on Nickelodeon International in August 2026.

Please note that, as a broadcast day runs from 6:00am-5:59am, each new episode will technically air as part of the previous day's schedule.

Friday 21st August 2026 - Nate Wright Has Left The Building: When Nate finds out he's moving away he wants the people of Rackleff to remember him fondly. Meanwhile, Amy's best friend tells her she's changed since leaving NYC so Amy is determined to prove her wrong. (#214)

Saturday 22nd August 2026 - Speed Bump Brawl: When a dispute over a speed bump at school divides the parents, Nate and Francis' friendship is tested. Chad is Kid Principal for the day but must navigate the chaos by himself when Nichols gets put out of commission. (#215)

Sunday 23rd August 2026 - Field of Nightmares: When Nate is made captain of the P.S. 38 baseball team only days before the Rackleff County Championship game, he pushes his team too hard on the path to victory. Meanwhile Francis conquers a sports related phobia. (#217)

Monday 24th August 2026 - Exes Machina: Nate is determined to win the EEW Corp science competition so he can snag the grand prize, but he is up against Nolan and his genius friends who have a few tricks up their sleeves. Francis grapples with facing his exes. (#218)

Nate and Francis enter a contest for tickets to Eew Corp Land. Nolan plans to outdo Nate, hiring Francis' exes to trip up Francis. It works. Francis never broke up with them, too afraid of confrontation. Nate needs Francis, so pressures him to build a robot to help with his relationship issues AND win top prize. The impressive ROBO-RITA wins over the judges, but also Francis' heart. So when the judges steal Rita to mass-produce her, Nate has to step up. He and Francis sneak into Eew Corp but run into Francis' exes, now interning at Eew. Still angry, they're about to report the break-in when Francis cops to his mistakes, vowing to be direct. He's forgiven, but not before Robo Rita sacrifices herself, deeming their love doomed in this corrupt world. Principal Nichols holds his own contest for the teachers to chaperone the trip should P.S. 38 win, which he's hoping won't happen. To curry favor, they shower him with gifts and services. But when P.S. 38 wins and Nichols breaks his word, it's his turn to give in to THEIR requests.

Tuesday 25th August 2026 - Scarytale Endings: With a huge haul of Halloween candy on the line, Nate makes a bet with Teddy to prove there's no such thing as ghosts. After Principal Nichols backs into a child's bike, he tries to bury the guilt. But it follows him everywhere... (#219)

Wednesday 26th August 2026 - Rackleff's A Dump: Nate's excited to collaborate with Ruby on an anti-trash art project but his desperate desire to impress her may get HIM dumped. Meanwhile, Gina and Nichols' single-use product addictions spiral out of control. (#220)

After a hole in the ozone layer appears directly over Rackleff, Mayor Klatchko issues a mandate to measure every school's trash output. Nate isn't worried. He stores all of his trash in his infinite locker so he's fine. He's got more important things to worry about anyway. Nate has a new girlfriend, Ruby! Environmental enthusiast Ruby suggests the kids create art out of trash for the town's Earth Day festival and Nate hopes to impress her with his artistic skills. Unfortunately, Nate loses Ruby's expensive dental retainer in the process, trapping it inside his artwork which is now in the clutches of his nemesis, Gina. Gina and Principal Nichols are harboring a dirty secret: they are addicted to earth destroying single use products and desperate for a place to stash their trash. When Nate reveals his secret garbage hiding spot to them in exchange for the retainer, both his locker and his relationship with Ruby explode.

Thursday 27th August 2026 - Nate Eat World: When a heartbroken Nate sings at the talent show auditions, it's so well received that he must stay down in the dumps or risk losing the band's success. Dee Dee's lack of painful life experiences impacts a performance. (#221)

It's time for P.S. 38's annual talent show and Fear the Mollusk is ready to show the school what they've got. Unfortunately, Nate just got dumped by his latest love, Ruby, and can barely hold himself, much less his drumsticks, upright. Francis, Teddy and Artur encourage Nate to channel his pain into music and Nate takes this advice to heart. He takes the stage and turns the band's latest song into an emo love ballad. The students of P.S. 38 go GAGA for Emo Nate and the band becomes an overnight sensation. Even Ruby is wowed. She had no idea Nate was so complex! But when Nate's heart begins to heal, he must choose between his thriving love life and emo career versus being his authentic happy self. Meanwhile, Dee Dee is excited to show off her acting chops at the talent show but some feedback from Dr. LaGaze has her contemplating if she has experienced enough personal turmoil to deliver powerful performances. To remedy this, Dee Dee tries to start real drama with her nearest and dearest.

Friday 28th August 2026 - Carlottha the Sloth-A: Nate finds a sloth in his backyard and campaigns for a way to keep her as a pet. Meanwhile, Teddy is suspicious and investigates how an exotic animal randomly showed up in Rackleff. (#222)

Saturday 29th August 2026 - The Unsittable One: When Ellen loses her babysitting job to a group of teenage triplets, Nate rallies his friends to bring down this ruthless babysitting monopoly! But to do so, Nate must tap into the dangerous power of the 'Unsittable One". (#223)

Sunday 30th August 2026 - Extreme Makeover: Gym Teacher Edition: After Nate's given detention for an epic prank, he offers to help Coach John impress his former classmates at a reunion in exchange for a reduced sentence. Gina is horrified to learn she's been voted "most boring" kid in class. (#225)

Big Nate is based on the best-selling children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by acclaimed author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce.

The series stars Ben Giroux (Nate Wright), Dove Cameron (Ellen Wright), Rob Delaney (Martin Wright), Bryce Charles (Dee Dee Holloway), Daniel MK Cohen (Francis Pope), Arnie Pantoja (Teddy Ortiz), Charlie Schlatter (Chad Applewhite), Ali Stroker (Amy), Kevin Michael Richardson (Principal Nichols), Carolyn Hennesy (Mrs. Godfrey), Nik Dodani (Randy), Betsy Sodaro (Kim), Lisa Kay Jennings (Gina), Chandni Parekh (Jenny), Todd Haberkorn (Artur), Ryan Garcia (Mr. Rosa), Mike Rivkin (Mr. Galvin), and Chester Rushing (Zeff).

Joining Big Nate this season are guest stars Laraine Newman (Ridley Jones) as Marge, Nate’s grandma whose misguided optimism has clearly been inherited by her grandson; Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo) as Agent Fish, one of Nate’s comic character creations – an anxious FBI agent with a literal fish head; JB Blanc (Barry) as Agent Moose, one of Nate’s comic character creations – a confident FBI agent with a literal moose head; Maya Aoki Tuttle (Spidey and His Amazing Friends) as Cammie, the kind of popular kid who actually has confidence; and Stephanie Sheh (Royal Crackers) as Ruby, the new kid at P.S. 38 and Nate’s dream girl, but he doesn’t know that yet.

BIG NATE is executive produced by Mitch Watson (All Hail King Julien) and John Cohen (The Angry Birds Movie) and produced by Amy McKenna (Beware the Batman) and Patrick Inness (The Adventures of Kid Danger) with Lincoln Peirce serving as consulting producer throughout development and production. Bridget McMeel is co-producer and Jim Mortensen is supervising producer.

'Big Nate' Season Two Released in Full on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video

Earlier this year, Paramount made the surprising decision to cancel and pull the Paramount+ Original series Big Nate from the streaming service and Nickelodeon during its second season run, with the second half of the season not getting to be released on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon, disappointing fans of the show.

'Big Nate' season two

In a surprising twist, however, the entirety of Big Nate season two (26 episodes) has now become available to stream on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video. It's currently unknown whether this is a mistake, or whether the streamers picked up the rights to save the series from going unaired.

Both Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video list the new episodes are being released on May 6, 2024, which may suggest that that's when the episodes were originally set to premiere on Paramount+.

Below is a complete episode guide for Big Nate season two, in two parts. The first part features the season's first 10 episodes which were released on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon, followed by part two, featuring the latter 13 episodes of the season that were unreleased on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.

S2 E1 - The Curse of Eewcorpico, Part 1: Nate's grandparents take the Wrights on an ill-fated seafaring adventure to find the rumored lost treasure of Eewcorpico. Meanwhile, Captain Dee Dee leads a rescue mission to save Nate and his family from the treasure's curse. (#201; season two premiere)

S2 E2 - The Curse of Eewcorpico, Part 2: Nate continues his search for treasure, but the Curse of Ewwcorpico has other plans. Washed up on an island, the rest of the crew searches for Nate while getting back to Rackleff safely looks less and less likely by the minute. (#202)

S2 E3 - Bum Rap: Nate's stoked when Martin agrees to sub for Godfrey but his dad's behavior soon has him longing for her swift return. Dee Dee gets cast in a commercial but the embarrassing product has her hiding from the spotlight. (#203)

S2 E4 - Nate Wright's Day Off: Nate skips school to enjoy a day on the town with his friends but his freedom is short-lived when he must team up with Godfrey to get Spitsy to the vet in time for an urgent procedure. (#204)

S2 E5 - Mouth Brow Madness: Nate and Teddy take extra measures in order to get invited to hang with the cool 7th graders, but get more than they bargained for when they find out just how much more intense middle school gets after 6th grade. (#205)

S2 E6 - A Star is Torn: When Nate and Nolan's ongoing rivalry goes too far, they find themselves in a battle for one of Nate's most treasured possessions...his friendships. Dee Dee's shot at superstardom may just get caught in the crosshairs. (#206)

S2 E7 - Valentine's Day of Horror: Chapter II: When Principal Nichols has the students take a corporate love matchmaking quiz for the upcoming Valentine's Day Dance, Nate tries to rig the outcome to get his decided true love, Jenny. (#207)

S2 E8 - Flavor Blasted Beardy Yum Yums: When Nate's favorite snack releases a FLAVOR BLASTED version, he can't wait to get his hands on it and rid P.S. 38 of their old vending machine in the process. But when an allergic reaction sends Nate home, he returns to chaos. (#208)

S2 E9 - Rackleff's G.O.A.T.: Nate hopes to impress Jenny by setting a world record but struggles to find a feat that aligns with his talents. Meanwhile, Jenny wants to make it to Artur's big coming-of-age celebration but her demanding schedule interferes. (#209)

S2 E10 - Ballad of Big Nate: When an esteemed art critic comes to town, Nate hopes to dazzle him. But his original characters begin to disappear one by one from his mind. Nate and friends explore his imagination to save them with some help from the past. (#210)

The following episodes were unreleased on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon:

S2 E11 - The Real Kids of PS 38: Hoping to put Rackleff on the map, Nate decides to create a reality show set at P.S. 38, but to stay on the air he'll need to subject his friends to a whole lot of drama. (#2)

S2 E12 - Holy Pierogis: Responsible for a grisly bug infestation, Nate resolves to raise money for an exterminator by selling Zora's beloved pierogis. Meanwhile, Martin partners with one of Nate's teachers to take care of the bugs the old-fashioned way. (#2)

S2 E13 - The Tween's Gambit: During the annual 6th grade sleepover, Nate is determined to join the ranks of legendary P.S. 38 pranksters. But his plans are foiled when Randy strangely refuses to let Nate out of his sight. (#2)

S2 E14 - Nate Wright Has Left the Building: When Nate finds out he's moving away he wants the people of Rackleff to remember him fondly. Meanwhile, Amy's best friend tells her she's changed since leaving NYC so Amy is determined to prove her wrong. (#2)

S2 E15 - Speed Bump Brawl: When a dispute over a speed bump at school divides the parents, Nate and Francis' friendship is tested. Chad is Kid Principal for the day but must navigate the chaos by himself when Nichols gets put out of commission. (#2)

S2 E16 - NATESgiving: After Ruby invites herself over to witness a famous "Wright Family Thanksgiving" firsthand, Nate is forced to flip the script, desperate not to scare her off. Dee Dee mines for drama in an otherwise mundane storyline for this year's holiday pageant. (#2)

S2 E17 - Field of Nightmares: When Nate is made captain of the P.S. 38 baseball team only days before the Rackleff County Championship game, he pushes his team too hard on the path to victory. Meanwhile Francis conquers a sports related phobia. (#2)

S2 E18 - Exes Machina: Nate is determined to win the EEW Corp science competition so he can snag the grand prize, but he is up against Nolan and his genius friends who have a few tricks up their sleeves. Francis grapples with facing his exes. (#2)

S2 E19 - Scarytale Endings: With a huge haul of Halloween candy on the line, Nate makes a bet with Teddy to prove there's no such thing as ghosts. After Principal Nichols backs into a child's bike, he tries to bury the guilt. But it follows him everywhere... (#2)

S2 E20 - Rackleff's A Dump: Nate's excited to collaborate with Ruby on an anti-trash art project but his desperate desire to impress her may get HIM dumped. Meanwhile, Gina and Nichols' single-use product addictions spiral out of control. (#2)

S2 E21 - Nate Eat World: When a heartbroken Nate sings at the talent show auditions, it's so well received that he must stay down in the dumps or risk losing the band's success. Dee Dee's lack of painful life experiences impacts a performance. (#2)

S2 E22 - Carlottha the sloth-a: Nate finds a sloth in his backyard and campaigns for a way to keep her as a pet. Meanwhile, Teddy is suspicious and investigates how an exotic animal randomly showed up in Rackleff. (#2)

S2 E23 - The Unsittable Ones: When Ellen loses her babysitting job to a group of teenage triplets, Nate rallies his friends to bring down this ruthless babysitting monopoly! But to do so, Nate must tap intro the dangerous power of the 'Unsittable One.' (#2)

S2 E24 - Norchaborf: Nate hosts an exchange student who is not quite what Nate has imagined. Amy is excited to join a cooking team but to stay in her group she'll have to lower her culinary standards. (#2)

S2 E25 - Extreme Makeover: Gym Teacher Edition: Nate's given detention for an epic prank, he offers to help Coach John impress his former classmates at a reunion in exchange for a reduced sentence. Gina is horrified to learn she's been voted "most boring" kid in class. (#2)

S2 E26 - Fuller House: Nate enrolls in clown school in hopes of spreading global happiness. After learning Nate's dad forbids Nate from attending, Nate's friends recruit Martin into their bird watching club as a distraction. (#2; season two finale; series finale)

Paramount+ Removes Slew of Nickelodeon Shows, Including 'Rugrats (2021)', 'Big Nate' and 'It's Pony'

Paramount+ has today (March 28) removed another 10 Nickelodeon shows from its programming library, including two Paramount+ Original series produced by Nickelodeon Animation for the streaming service.

'Rugrats (2021)', 'That Girl Lay Lay' and 'Big Nate'

The series removed today are:

  • Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019)
  • Big Nate*
  • Blue's Clues & You!
  • It's Pony
  • Middlemost Post
  • Ollie's Pack
  • Rugrats (2021)*
  • Ryan's Mystery Playdate
  • Santiago of the Seas
  • That Girl Lay Lay

In addition, each show has had their official pages on nick.com and nickjr.com removed as well.

The removal of Rugrats (2021) and Big Nate pages is particularly surprising. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, both shows are currently in their second seasons, and are thought to still be in active production, with plans for a third season of Rugrats (2021), a reboot of Nickelodeon's beloved '90s series of the same name. Up until recently, new episodes of both shows originally premiered on the Paramount+ streaming service, before making their linear TV premieres on Nickelodeon a few months later. However, earlier this year, linear premieres for both series moved to Nicktoons, with Nicktoons airing new episodes of Rugrats (2021) still to be released on Paramount+.

Thankfully, physical media for both Rugrats (2021) exists, with season one being released on DVD in two parts:

This is said to be part of content removal addressed in the most recent Q4 earnings call on February 28. Targeting Nick titles is a little surprising as, according to parent Paramount Global, the network’s Kids & Family content consistently ranks among the most watched and re-watched programming on Paramount+.

“In connection with our continued review of our international content strategy, during the first quarter of 2024 we made a strategic decision to focus on content with mass global appeal,” the company said in its 10-K filing. “As part of this, we are rationalizing original content on Paramount+, especially internationally, and improving the efficiency of our linear network programming. As a result, we have reviewed our expansive global content portfolio and are removing select content from our platforms.”

Paramount expects “to recognize additional programming charges that we currently expect to be in the range of approximately $700 million to $900 million during the first quarter of 2024.”

The news follows Paramount+ removing several shows and seasons on March 1: Back at the Barnyard (seasons 1-2), How to Rock (season 1), Knight Squad (season 1-2), Make It Pop (season 1-2), Planet Sheen (season 1), Sam & Cat (season 1), and Supah Ninjas (season 1-2). A number of Nickelodeon productions were also removed on January 1 as well as in June last year.

Nickelodeon Removes 'Rugrats (2021)', 'Big Nate' and 'That Girl Lay Lay' Show Pages From Nick.com

Nickelodeon has just done some Spring cleaning on its official website, nick.com, removing the network's official show pages for Rugrats (2021), Big Nate, and the recently concluded That Girl Lay Lay, with the web address of each page now redirecting visitors back to the homepage.

'Rugrats', 'That Girl Lay Lay', and 'Big Nate'

The removal of the network's official Rugrats (2021) and Big Nate pages is particularly surprising. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, both shows are currently in their second seasons, and are thought to still be in active production, with plans for a third season of Rugrats (2021), a reboot of Nickelodeon's beloved '90s series of the same name. The latest batch of new episodes previously made their debuts on Paramount+.

Big Nate is an Paramount+ Original animated series based on the best-selling children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by acclaimed author and cartoonist Lincoln Peirce.

The series stars Ben Giroux (Nate Wright), Dove Cameron (Ellen Wright), Rob Delaney (Martin Wright), Bryce Charles (Dee Dee Holloway), Daniel MK Cohen (Francis Pope), Arnie Pantoja (Teddy Ortiz), Charlie Schlatter (Chad Applewhite), Ali Stroker (Amy), Kevin Michael Richardson (Principal Nichols), Carolyn Hennesy (Mrs. Godfrey), Nik Dodani (Randy), Betsy Sodaro (Kim), Lisa Kay Jennings (Gina), Chandni Parekh (Jenny), Todd Haberkorn (Artur), Ryan Garcia (Mr. Rosa), Mike Rivkin (Mr. Galvin), and Chester Rushing (Zeff).
