Brazilian Actor Tony Germano Passes Away Aged 55

The voice actor, who also lent his voice to Nickelodeon, Disney and Netflix projects — is being remembered by peers on social media as an "untouchable professional"

Tony Germano, a voice artist and actor featured in Nickelodeon, Disney and Netflix projects, has sadly passed away after a fatal fall. He was 55.

The Brazilian actor died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, following a fall at his residence, a representative for the actor has confirmed to PEOPLE.

"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26. Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries," Germano's rep told PEOPLE in a statement.

The statement continued: "We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt."

A service for Germano took place at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista on Thursday, Nov. 27, with a burial scheduled, his rep adds.

Germano's deadly fall took place at his home in São Paulo amid renovations, according to local outlets Folha de Sao Paulo and O Estado de Sao Paulo. Per Folha de Sao Paulo, he was staying at his parents' home in Brazil before the accident, during which he lost his balance.

Germano was known for his Portuguese voice performances in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Go, Dog, Go! on Netflix and on the apparent soundtrack of Disney's 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast, per both outlets. His voice also appeared in projects including Elena of Avalor and The Muppets.

Germano's work on stage included stints in The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Jekyll & Hyde - The Doctor and the Monster, and Fiddler on the Roof. Onscreen, he also recently made appearances in 2025's Labyrinth of Lost Boys (playing Doctor Lauro) and in 2023's An Unforgettable Year: Autumn, per IMDb.

Actor Miguel Falabella remembered Germano on Instagram as "an untouchable professional," "dear friend" and "gifted actor" in a translated tribute post shared on Wednesday. "I have had the privilege of working alongside him in a few productions," Falabella wrote, commending Germano on his accomplishments.

Matheus Marchetti, who directed Germano in Labyrinth of Lost Boys, also shared the news of his death on Instagram via a since-translated tribute post, in which he wrote that their creative partnership "seemed like it was going to last forever." Marchetti remembered Germano being a "father figure" on set and "someone any of us could count on."

"I am so lucky to have found a soul as generous, as talented, and as endearing as Tony Germano. It's a gift from the rarest of all," Marchetti added.
