Frisco King: ‘Tulsa King’ Spinoff Starring Samuel L. Jackson Gets New Title After Moving Setting From NOLA To Frisco, TX; Taylor Sheridan Writing All Episodes

Taylor Sheridan‘s upcoming Tulsa King spinoff for Paramount+ starring Samuel L. Jackson has been officially renamed to Frisco King after the series, formally known as NOLA King, has undergone a creative overhaul. Once set in New Orleans with a pilot script by Dave Erickson, the offshoot will now be set in Frisco, TX (thus the new title), with Sheridan writing all eight episodes.

Erickson, who had been set to serve as showrunner on the new series, departed in July. No new showrunner has been named, and it’s unclear whether Frisco King will have one; not all Taylor Sheridan series do.

Casting is currently underway for the spinoff, which will begin filming late March in Fort Worth, TX where Sheridan and his collaborator David C. Glasser opened a production campus last year with backing from Paramount.

Sheridan previously wrote the first seasons of Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown, as well as every episode of Yellowstone spinoffs 1883 and 1923 and every episode to date of Lioness and Landman. On Tulsa King, he is only credited as co-writer of the pilot episode so far. In September, the drama, starring and executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, was renewed for Season 4.

“We are honored to have Taylor Sheridan write the first season of Frisco King and bring to life Samuel L. Jackson’s iconic character,” said Matt Thunell, President, Paramount Television Studios. “Having him pen all episodes of the season with his singular voice will be a treat for fans of Tulsa King and audiences around the world.”

Sheridan’s recruitment to pen the entire first season of Frisco King comes after the regime change at Paramount; this marks the first new series from the prolific writer-producer to go into production under the new leadership at Paramount+ and Paramount TV Studios, Taylor Sheridan’s studio home until he departs for NBCUniversal in January, 2029.

“Taylor Sheridan continues to build worlds that attract some of the most iconic talent working today, and Frisco King is no exception,” said Jane Wiseman, Head of Originals at Paramount+. “Having Samuel L. Jackson step into this universe is a testament to the scale and ambition of the storytelling Taylor is crafting. We’re thrilled to expand this storyline with such a powerhouse creative team and cast on Paramount+.”

Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., was first introduced in the third season of Tulsa King, which premiered in September on Paramount+.

Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, Frisco King is executive produced by Sheridan, Stallone, Jackson. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, LaTanya Richardson Jackson and Keith Cox also executive produce.

February 24, 2026 - THE MADISON's official trailer and key art, highlighting the profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation, is out now. From Oscar^® nominee Taylor Sheridan, the Paramount+ series stars Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Golden Globe^® Award nominee Kurt Russell.

The six-episode debut season premieres globally on Saturday, March 14th, with three episodes exclusively on the service. The final three episodes will premiere the following week on Saturday, March 21.

Produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions, THE MADISON will return for a second season at a soon to be announced date.

THE MADISON is Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, unfolding across two distinct worlds - the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan - as it examines the ties that bind families together.

Introducing the Clyburns, THE MADISON is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.

CBS SPORTS REACHES AGREEMENT FOR PARAMOUNT+ TO BECOME EXCLUSIVE U.S. ENGLISH-LANGUAGE HOME OF ALL CONCACAF WOMEN’S COMPETITIONS THROUGH 2030

All matches to stream live on Paramount+ across Concacaf W Gold Cup, Concacaf W Nations League, Concacaf W Champions Cup and Concacaf W Championship beginning Feb. 27

CBS Sports and Concacaf today (Feb. 24) announced that CBS Sports will be the exclusive English-language U.S. rights holder to all Concacaf Women’s competitions through the 2029-2030 season. Across four distinct competitions featuring club and national team matches, CBS Sports will present more than 250 games with every match on Paramount+ and select matches co-airing on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with CBS Sports, which will continue to serve as the English-language home of Concacaf Women’s Football in the United States,” said Concacaf General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “With the launch of a revamped Concacaf W ecosystem in 2024—now featuring three major centralized senior national team competitions as well as an annual elite club tournament—our Member Associations and their teams have unprecedented opportunities to compete at the highest level, while their fans can closely follow and enjoy every step of the journey,” concluded Moggio.

Competition Highlights:

Concacaf W Qualifiers and Championship 2026

Qualifiers played in November 2025 and February-March and April 2026; six group winners advance to the Championship, joining USA and Canada (highest-ranked teams).
Eight-team Championship scheduled for November-December. Determines which nations qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and the 2028 Summer Olympics

Concacaf W Champions Cup in 2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29 and 2029-2030

Crowns regional club champion and determines qualification for the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup in 2027 and 2029 and the inaugural FIFA Women’s Club World Cup in 2028.

Concacaf W Nations League 2028

Inaugural edition featuring a Group Stage in February and April, followed by the Finals in November.

Concacaf W Gold Cup 2029

Second edition of the Confederation’s premier competition for women’s senior national teams, crowning the regional champion.
Scheduled for the summer of 2029.

CBS Sports will provide highlights and editorial coverage across all competitions on CBS Sports Golazo Network, CBS Sports Network, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app, and across @WGolazo social media handles. Studio coverage details will be announced at a later date.

'TMNT: Splintered Fate' Launches First Female Playable Character + New Content in All-New Alopex DLC

Super Evil Megacorp has officially launched their new DLC for the award-winning roguelike brawler, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate.

The new DLC introduces none other than the mutant arctic fox Alopex as the game’s newest character, becoming the first female playable character in the game. The Alopex DLC is available now on Steam, Epic Store, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PlayStation 4/5.

She tosses kunai at close range to deal a major blast of damage. And the best part-- she can briefly become invulnerable while targeting multiple enemies in rapid succession. Buddy the Wraith - You have an allied Utrom Wraith, which levels up and evolves over a run

4 Pepper challenges in Arcade mode (Free): Think you have mastered the Arcade Mode? Take a bite on an extra dose of difficulty with our new 4 Pepper runs. They are spicy hot! These challenges kick off with hexes already applied– do you have what it takes to overcome them?

Ninja Ranks (Free): Show your skills with pride with our new prestige system. Increase your badge prestige and rep by finishing more runs.

New Combat Rooms (Free): Many new combat rooms are available in Sewers, Docks, Streets, and Rooftops within the main campaign.

Additional balancing and quality of life improvements.

New Alopex DLC Joins The Fight In 'TMNT: Splintered Fate'

We’ve had a lot of fun bringing our (long overdue) first female playable character to life. Alopex’s story brings to light her relationship with former sister-in-arms, Karai, and her journey to find the strength to overcome her past.

Alopex

Alopex is our latest playable DLC character, and she’s also our fastest! Zip around the battlefield with the Arctic Fox mutant sure to become a new favorite. Become invulnerable during her Special attack as she slashes nearby enemies, and shoot a barrage of kunai as her starting Tool. Check out her Product Page for more info!

Arcade Mode 4-Pepper Challenges

Each portal in Arcade Mode now contains a new 4-pepper challenge. These challenges are designed to need a significant amount of Upgrades to complete. So veterans, these are for you.

Players will start these Challenges with Hexes already applied, so figuring out how to overcome them is key. Be sure to pay attention to these Hexes when selecting the Challenge! You can also see them in your Run Details as with other Hexes that you choose.

Players will need to complete the Mondo Metropoloso (3rd Manic Metropolis Challenge) to unlock the 4th Challenge in each location.

Ninja Ranks

Ninja Ranks are ranks earned by defeating Shredder (even in the new Arcade Mode 4-Pepper Challenges)! Players will receive an icon next to their health bar that showcases their veterancy in TMNT: Splintered Fate. With this feature, we wanted to not only encourage the players starting their journey to complete the campaign story, but also honor the players who have gone above and beyond to help those players and share Splintered Fate with others. The ranks are as follows:

Campaign Rooms

We have introduced some new rooms into the campaign for increased visual variety in the base game:

6 new Sewers rooms

5 new Docks rooms

2 new Streets rooms

2 new Rooftops rooms

We have additionally improved a few existing rooms to match the improved design of the newer rooms.

[Switch 2] Fixed horizontal lines that could appear when SSAO setting was enabled

[Switch 2] Fixed issue with low resolution VFX appearing throughout gameplay

Fixed an issue with players’ footprint circle disappearing in Arena Mode

Fixed issue with Shadow Shredder victory stat not updating appropriately

Fixed an issue with Metalhead Inspiration 1 not granting Scrap

Fixed an issue in Arena Mode where extra spawned rats could cause damage while player is transitioning to the next room

Fixed several miscellaneous collision issues
