Mexican Television Broadcaster Televisa Renews Its Output Deal With Distributor Viacom International Media Networks For Another Five Years

From C21Media:
Viacom pacts with Televisa

Mexican broadcaster Televisa has renewed its output deal with distributor Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) for another five years.

This extends Televisa’s first-look agreement for Nickelodeon content and builds on a long-term partnership with VIMN. In the short term, the Mexican media giant has signed for new seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly, Drake & Josh and Penguins of Madagascar.

It’s not the first major move by the pair this year. In March, Nickelodeon and Televisa began shooting an 80x60′ English-language version of classic Mexican telenovela Reach for the Stars for the US market, in association with Sony Pictures Television.

In related news, billionaire Warren Buffet’s investment vehicle Berkshire Hathaway has taken a small stake in VIMN’s US-based parent Viacom for the first time, an SEC filing has revealed.

Berkshire has acquired 1.6 million class B shares, worth US$75.5m when the filing was made on March 31. Based on Viacom’s share price of US$46.99 yesterday, this is now worth US$74.8m.

Buffet’s firm also bought 10 million shares in General Motors, the US car manufacturer that owns 49% of NBCUniversal, which were worth US$265.5m at the end of March.

Classic Nickelodeon UK Star And Former "Sister, Sister" Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley Announces That She Pregnant With Her First Son

From the Daily Mail:
Snap! Sister, Sister star Tamera Mowry-Housley to join Tia in the mothers' club after announcing pregnancy

It seems Sister Sister star Tamera Mowry-Housley's life is continuing to mirror that of her identical twin Tia.

For she has just announced she is to give birth to her first child, less than a year since her sibling became the first of the pair to give birth.

The actress was delighted top be having a baby with her Fox news correspondent husband Adam Housley.

The 33-year-old told People: 'Adam and I are excited about having a baby and the blessing that he or she will bring to our lives and to our family and friends.

'We can’t wait to meet this little miracle.'

The reality television star also revealed she will be welcoming their bundle of joy in early November.

She said: 'The first trimester was a little rough.

'I was extremely fatigued and had morning sickness, more like evening sickness.

'Luckily, it has subsided in my second trimester. I feel great as of now — more like myself.'

Young stars: Tia and Tamera shot to fame in 90s hit sitcom Sister, Sister

Fans of the couple will be surprised with the news, as the couple made it clear when they got married last year they had no immediate plans for children.

But she said their stance changed after an “amazing” trip to South Africa, which caused them to reconsider.

She said: 'It’s just so beautiful there and you get a whole new perspective on life, the things that really matter

'Adam and I looked at each other and said, "Why wait?"

She also admitted her identical twin, who she stars alongside in Style channel hit show Tia and Tamera, had an almost telepathic incling about what had happened.

The actress said: 'Her first reaction was, "I KNEW it!"'

And she said it has an added bonus, as her nephew Cree will now have some company.

Tamera added: 'Tia is beyond thrilled. Cree now has a play date in the future!'

Tamera Mowry-Housley Expecting First Child

Sister, Sister is still in sync.

Ten months after her twin Tia welcomed her first child, Tamera Mowry-Housley is now expecting a baby of her own, the actress confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

“Adam and I are excited about having a baby and the blessing that he or she will bring to our lives and to our family and friends,” Mowry-Housley, 33, tells PEOPLE.

“We can’t wait to meet this little miracle!”

The expectant mom and Housley, a National and International correspondent for FOX News, will welcome their first child in early November.

“The first trimester was a little rough. I was extremely fatigued and had morning sickness — more like evening sickness,” says Mowry-Housley, who will star in FOX's new pilot, Rebounding.

“Luckily, it has subsided in my second trimester. I feel great as of now — more like myself.”

The news comes as a bit of a surprise to fans. After tying the knot with Housley, 40, last May, the newlyweds made it clear that kids weren’t in their immediate future.

But the couple’s stance on the subject shifted after an “amazing” trip to South Africa — and, subsequently, a huge change of heart.

“It’s just so beautiful there and you get a whole new perspective on life, the things that really matter,” Mowry-Housley explains to PEOPLE. “Adam and I looked at each other and said, ‘Why wait?’”

But while the announcement may have come as a shock to some, Tia — who is mom to son Cree Taylor — not only saw it coming, but she was more than ready for it!

“Her first reaction [when I called to tell her] was, ‘I KNEW it!’” the reality star — who will appear alongside her sister on the second season of Tia & Tamera, premiering June 11 on the Style Network – shares. “Tia is beyond thrilled. Cree now has a play date in the future!”
