CBS All Access Adds 'Instant Mom' and 'Ryan's Mystery Playdate'

CBS All Access, the soon-to-be rebranded streaming service from ViacomCBS, today (Feb. 9) added two more fan-favorite Nickelodeon shows to its programming library: Instant Mom (seasons 1, 2 & 3) and Ryan's Mystery Playdate (season 1)!

About Instant Mom


Stephanie is a former party girl who trades in her cocktails for carpools when she instantly adds three children to her life by marrying their father, Charlie. Needless to say, she struggles to find a balance between her fun-loving and slightly irresponsible lifestyle with being a full-time stepmother. As she learns what being a mother is about, partially with help from her own mom, Stephanie tries to do things her own way. Among the motherly experiences she has are being on the parents' dance committee and planning a "staycation" for her family. Stars Tia Mowry-Hardrict (Sister Sister) as Stephanie, Michael Boatman (Spin City), Sydney Park (The HALO Effect, CSI: NY) as Gabby, Tylen Jacob Williams (Everybody Hates Chris, Parks and Recreation) as James, Damarr Calhoun as Aaron, and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Moesha) as Maggie.

Additionally, Jackée Harry, who played Tia's Mom Lisa in Sister, Sister guest stars in the series Mother's Day special, "Not Your Mother's Day".

Originally aired as part of Nick Jr.'s NickMom late-night programming block for moms.

About Ryan's Mystery Playdate


This live-action series stars 7-year-old internet sensation Ryan Kaji, whose YouTube channel has grown to become one of the world's largest with videos that feature him and his family playing with toys for kids. The Nickelodeon program sees the unboxing phenom tackle a series of imaginative, physical challenges and solve puzzles to reveal the identity of his play dates. Co-starring are Ryan's parents, and proprietary animated characters, including Gus the Gummy Gator and Combo Panda, also make appearances. The series encourages physical play, models positive family relationships and features a creative problem-solving curriculum.

Nickelodeon USA To Say Farewell To NickMom

NickMom, Nickelodeon USA's nightly adult-targeted comedy programming block just for Moms that airs on Nick Jr. USA, has announced the sad news in a post on their official Facebook profile page, Facebook.com/NickMom, that the block will be coming to an end at the end of September 2015. In addition to the channel, NickMom's official website, NickMom.com, will also close down:
Unlike your bottomless laundry pile, some things do come to an end. We’re sad to say that NickMom will be going off air and offline at the end of the month. Thanks for all of your years of laughs and support... we'll continue to give you some last LOLs here for the next few weeks.

NickMom's last proper broadcast day will be on Sunday 27th September 2015, with the block ending at 2:00am on Monday 28th September 2015. The blocks final schedule will be:

10:00pm - Instant Mom - "The Last Auction Hero"
10:30pm - Instant Mom - "48 Hours"
11:00pm - Gainesville: Friends Are Family - "Virgin Territory"
11:30pm - Gainesville: Friends Are Family "You Don't Know Who Kerryn Is"
12:00 - 2:00am - Guarding Tess


It is currently unknown whether NickMom's official social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram will also close.

NickMom was Nickelodeon's multi-platform destination created just for today's Moms. NickMom featured a prime-time, advertiser-supported nightly programming block on Nick Jr. and a convergent web site. The block a mix of original programming, such as "Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder-Taylor", "MFF: Mom Friends Forever", "NickMom Night Out", "Instant Mom", "Take Me To Your Mother", "Undercover Cupid" and "What Was Carol Brady Thinking?", along with acquired series, including "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Yes, Dear". NickMom also aired movies, including family-friendly films such as "Babe" and its sequel "Pig in the City" most prevalent, along with other female-focused titles such as "Eat Pray Love". After acquiring its syndication rights, NickMom began airing the 2010 iteration of the NBC family drama, "Parenthood", in April 2015. NickMom.com, NickMom's official website, featured daily doses of funny photos, funny videos, funny stories and funny shows created just for Mom's. NickMom's official slogan was "MotherFunny".

New York, NY – April 2, 2015 – It's the ultimate celebration of TV! TV Land announced today that the "TV Land Awards" will be hosted by Terry Crews ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "World's Funniest Fails"), one of the most versatile performers of TV and film. This year's awards will honor the most creative, popular and loved stars and series, including "Parenthood," "The Wonder Years," "Ally McBeal," Betty White, who will receive The Legend Award, and Donny and Marie Osmond, who will be accepting the Pop Culture Award. The late groundbreaking comedian Joan Rivers will also be honored with a special tribute. Presenters and more honorees will be announced in the coming week. The ceremony will tape on Saturday, April 11th at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills and air Saturday, April 18th at 9pm ET/PT on TV Land with simulcasts on Nickelodeon and NickMom. Viewers can follow the night on @tvland on Twitter with the hashtag #TVLA.

"Parenthood" is receiving the Fan Favorite Award, a salute to a series that is considered an All-American classic and much-loved by its fans. The drama series – based on the movie of the same name – just wrapped its sixth and final season on NBC, and tells the story of the Braverman family as they face life's triumphs and struggles. Confirmed to be at the "TV Land Awards" include series stars Lauren Graham, Craig T. Nelson, Peter Krause, Bonnie Bedelia, Erika Christensen, Miles Heizer, Sam Jaeger, Savannah Paige Rae, Max Burkholder, Tyree Brown, Sarah Ramos, Xolo Maridueña and executive producer Jason Katims.

"The Wonder Years" will receive this year's Impact Award, which honors shows that have made a significant impression on American entertainment and culture. The Emmy®-winning ABC series revolved around a young boy, Kevin Arnold, who narrated the story of his family and friends growing up in the late 1960s and early 1970s – one of the most revolutionary social time periods in American history – from his now-adult perspective. Series stars Fred Savage, Danica McKellar, Josh Saviano, Olivia d'Abo, Jason Hervey and Alley Mills will be in attendance.

"Ally McBeal" will be honored with the Groundbreaking Award, given to a series that sparked conversation about cultural issues. The comedy-drama, which ran on FOX from 1997 to 2002, revolved around Ally, a successful lawyer with a sloppy personal life that only gets crazier when she starts working with her childhood sweetheart Billy…and his wife. The series was known for braving the subjects of sexual politics in the workplace and gender norms with its eccentric yet loveable characters, combining heartfelt drama and silliness. Executive producer David E. Kelley, along with stars Calista Flockhart, Peter MacNicol, Lisa Nicole Carson, Gil Bellows and Courtney Thorne-Smith will be accepting the award with more cast members expected to join.

Receiving The Legend Award this year is Betty White. With a show business career that spans over 70 years, Betty White is widely regarded as a national treasure and one of America's sweethearts. After her big break in TV with the 1949 variety show "Hollywood on Television," she went on to appear in over 100 television shows and films, including those that gave her her most beloved roles – "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "The Golden Girls," and most recently, TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland." White won seven Emmy® Awards in her career, the most recent in 2010 for her hilarious turn on "Saturday Night Live." She also won two consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards® for her portrayal of Elka on "Hot in Cleveland," and was honored with the Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.

Triple threat brother and sister duo Donny and Marie Osmond will be on hand to receive the Pop Culture Award, honoring their staying power in the cultural zeitgeist. Their variety series aired on ABC in the late 1970s and featured music and comedy sketches which are still referenced in today's conversations nearly 40 years after the show has ended.

The "TV Land Awards" ceremony will also include a tribute to the late trailblazing comedian Joan Rivers.

Michael Levitt ("The Daytime Emmy Awards," "Billboard Music Awards") and Casey Patterson ("Lip Sync Battle," "Guys Choice Awards") are executive producers, and Ryan Polito ("Guys Choice Awards 2014," "The Price is Right") is director. Greg Sills ("The Teen Choice Awards," "Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards") serves as supervising producer and Gary Tellalian ("American Comedy Awards") is producer.

On Friday, Dec. 5, Nickelodeon kicks off the merriment with Wallykazam! "Wally Saves the Trollidays!" at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT). Legendary crooner Tony Bennett guest stars as the singing voice of Bobgoblin, an impulsive and egocentric goblin with a knack for finding trouble. Kate Micucci (Garfunkel & Oates, The Big Bang Theory) also guest stars as the voice of Elfelfa, a spirited and enthusiastic elf who is the Jingle Troll's new helper.

On Friday, Dec. 12, the holiday cheer continues with the premiere of the Bubble Guppies special, "A Very Guppy Christmas" at 9:00 a.m. (ET/PT). Beau Bridges (The Millers) guest stars as Mr. Claws, a jolly, white-bearded lobster who bears an uncanny resemblance to Santa.

Zack gives his friends a special pop-up calendar to help them count down the days until Christmas. When Quack and Fluffy accidentally lose all of the Christmas surprises that pop out of it, they have to find a way to make it right. / Zack's mailbox gets frozen at Christmastime so he sets out to deliver his letter to Santa Claus in person, but getting to the North Pole and finding Santa proves harder than Zack and Quack
expected. Now it's going to take a real Christmas miracle to save the day.

Nick Jr. will also air holiday-themed episodes of preschool favorites during the extended Satur-Yay! block from 1-5 p.m., every Saturday in December.

Sheryl Lee Ralph To Guest Star On Nickelodeon's "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn"

The entertainment industry news magazine The Wrap is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that the multi-talented actress Sheryl Lee Ralph will be a guest star in a upcoming brand-new episode of Nick's all-new hit comedy series "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn" set to premiere on Nickelodeon USA during November 2014!


In the episode, titled "The Sad Tail of Gary-Chip-Tiny Elvis Squishy Paws", Sheryl Lee Ralph will play a character called Ms. Dumont, a wealthy woman in town who sees the quadruplets' dog on the news and recognizes him as her own missing pet, Lord Timothy. While she reclaims the dog and takes him home, the kids soon steal him back. Ralph's character decides that the Quads truly love Lord Timothy and allow them to keep him. Nick USA will premiere the all-new "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn" episode, "The Sad Tail of Gary-Chip-Tiny Elvis Squishy Paws", on Saturday 22nd November 2014.

Following the episodes US debut, "The Sad Tail of Gary-Chip-Tiny Elvis Squishy Paws" will premiere on Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK two days later on Monday 25th November 2014 at 4:30pm (repeated at 5:30pm on Nick+1)!

Sheryl Lee Ralph currently stars on NickMom's hit sitcom "Instant Mom" with Tia Mowry-Hardrict. She previously starred on the UPN comedy series "Moesha", which used to air on Nickelodeon UK, as Deidra "Dee" Mitchell, stepmother to the show's star Brandy Norwood. In 1982, Ralph was nominated for a Tony for her role as as Deena Jones in the original version of the Broadway musical "Dreamgirls".

As NickALive! previously reported, the multi-camera Nickelodeon comedy series will also feature famed teacher, Science Bob, as a guest star in early 2015.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Honeywell Team Up With Tia Mowry-Hardrict To Launch Innovative Abduction Prevention Program

Halloween is a fun-filled time for kids and parents alike, but it is also a holiday that requires a mindset of being safe. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Honeywell Inc. have announced in the following press release, from PRNewswire, that they are teaming up with Nickelodeon Star Tia Mowry-Hardrict ("Instant Mom") to launch KidSmartz, a brand-new program that aims to keep kids safe on Halloween and all year-round!


According to the FBI, police received more than 400,000 reports of missing children last year in the United States. KidSmartz is a personal safety program that educates parents, teachers and other trusted adults and law enforcement about preventing abduction. The program empowers kids in grades K-5 to practice safer behaviors in ways that are fun, innovative and easy-to-implement.

Through the use of videos and engaging animations, KidSmartz helps teach critical safety information to children. The foundation of the KidSmartz curriculum focuses on the four rules of personal safety:

1. Check First
2. Take a Friend
3. Say "No" and Find Help
4. Tell a Trusted Adult

Parents, educators and other trusted adults can find instructional resources such as free classroom lesson plans, take-home printable materials for families, safety checklists and engaging and animated videos to empower kids to practice safer behaviors and reinforce the four rules of personal safety.

KidSmartz reinvents the concepts and methods developed in 2005 for the "Got 2B Safe! Think Smart and Take Charge" program, Honeywell's first nationwide classroom-based child abduction prevention program for third-graders launched in partnership with NCMEC. This fall Got2BSafe! will be expanded to impact even more children thanks to the next generation of the program — KidSmartz.

To encourage educators to utilize the official KidSmartz website, teachers who download the KidSmartz Education Toolkit will automatically be entered for a chance to win a USD$250 gift card that can be used for purchasing school supplies. Drawings will take place once a month through the end of the year.

KidSmartz Teaches Child Safety Rules Ahead of Halloween

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Honeywell Launch Innovative Abduction Prevention Program

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Halloween is a fun-filled time for kids and parents alike, but it is also a holiday that requires a mindset of being safe. Today, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Honeywell Inc. (NYSE: HON) are teaming up with Nickelodeon actress, Tia Mowry, to launch KidSmartz, a new program that aims to keep kids safe on Halloween and all year-round.

According to the FBI, police received more than 400,000 reports of missing children last year in the United States. KidSmartz is a personal safety program that educates parents, teachers and other trusted adults and law enforcement about preventing abduction. The program empowers kids in grades K-5 to practice safer behaviors in ways that are fun, innovative and easy-to-implement.

"We have been analyzing attempted abductions for almost a decade and have learned a lot about the risks kids face and the strategies they can use to stay safe," said John Ryan, president and CEO of NCMEC. Through the use of videos and engaging animations, KidSmartz helps teach critical safety information to children. The foundation of the KidSmartz curriculum focuses on the four rules of personal safety:

2. Take a Friend
3. Say "No" and Find Help
4. Tell a Trusted Adult

Parents, educators and other trusted adults can find instructional resources such as free classroom lesson plans, take-home printable materials for families, safety checklists and engaging and animated videos to empower kids to practice safer behaviors and reinforce the four rules of personal safety.

KidSmartz reinvents the concepts and methods developed in 2005 for the "Got 2B Safe! Think Smart and Take Charge" program, Honeywell's first nationwide classroom-based child abduction prevention program for third-graders launched in partnership with NCMEC. This fall Got2BSafe! will be expanded to impact even more children thanks to the next generation of the program — KidSmartz.

Nickelodeon Orders Third Season Of "Instant Mom"; Nick At Nite And NickMom To Debut New Episodes From 10/2

The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced they have ordered a 20-episode third season of its hit family comedy series "Instant Mom" ahead of the shows second-season premiere!


The second season of "Instant Mom" is due to debut in its new Thursday 8:00pm (ET/PT) time slot on Nick at Nite on Thursday 2nd October 2014. Following each episodes debut on Nick@Nite, each brand-new episode will be repeated on NickMom, Nickelodeon USA's adult-targeted comedy programming block on Nick Jr. USA.

The pre-emptive Season 3 renewal is Nickelodeon's latest vote of confidence to "Instant Mom", which also received an order for seven additional episodes before its series premiere. The latest pickup brings the show's episode total to 66 episodes.

"Instant Mom" is a multi-camera, scripted half-hour series starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict ("Sister Sister") as Stephanie, a party girl who trades in Cosmos for carpools when she marries Charlie (Michael Boatman, "Spin City"), who already has three kids. "Instant Mom" follows Stephanie as she struggles to maintain some sense of her fun-loving, slightly irresponsible life while managing being a full-time stepmom. Sheryl Lee Ralph ("Moesha") stars as Stephanie's mother Maggie, and rounding out the cast are Charlie's three kids played by Sydney Park ("CSI: NY"), Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun:

Breakout Nick at Nite/NickMom family comedy series Instant Mom has been picked up for a 20-episode third season ahead of its second-season premiere on Oct. 2, when it will debut in its new Thursday 8 PM time slot on Nick at Nite. DEFY Media Acquires Viacom's Digital Gaming Assets

Nickelodeon Shows And Stars Nominated For Eight 2014 NAMIC Vision Awards

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), has announced in the following press release, from PRNewswire, that a raft of Nickelodeon shows and stars have been Nickelodeon have been nominated for eight 2014 NAMIC Vision Awards! Now celebrating the 20th anniversary, the Vision Awards recognize multi-ethnic and cross-cultural television programming that depicts the lives, spirit and contributions of people of color and best reflects the diversity of the global viewing audience.

Nickelodeon's hit original animated series (Nicktoon) "The Legend of Korra" and NickToons's popular animated series "NFL Rush Zone" have both been nominated in the 'Animation' award category.

The 2013 "TeenNick HALO Awards", which celebrated real teens who are "Helping and Leading Others" (HALO) and making a difference in their communities, has been nominated in the 'Awards & Honors' category.

LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), has announced the nominees for the 2014 NAMIC Vision Awards. Now celebrating the 20th anniversary, the Vision Awards recognize multiethnic and cross-cultural television programming that depicts the lives, spirit and contributions of people of color and best reflects the diversity of the global viewing audience.

The 2014 NAMIC Vision Award nominees were announced in conjunction with the VIP Reception for the Walter Kaitz Foundation's 5th Annual Hollywood Creative Forum. The VIP Reception was hosted by Creative Artists Agency. James Lesure, co-star of TBS's "Men at Work" and Danielle Vega, co-star of the Hulu original series, "East Los High" were on-hand to announce the nominations.

"For two decades, through the Vision Awards, NAMIC has sustained a platform for fostering diversity and inclusion in the content arena by recognizing networks, talent and other entities committed to advancing diversity across all digital platforms," said Alicin Williamson, interim executive leader of NAMIC and principal, The Raben Group. HBO garnered 10 nominations to lead all contenders vying for this year's NAMIC Vision Awards. A total of 30 networks generated 66 nominations for awards presented in the 17 categories: Animation; Awards & Honors; Children's; Comedy; Documentary; Drama; Foreign Language; Lifestyle; News/Informational; Original Movie or Special; Reality; Reality - Social Issues; Sports; Variety/Talk Show; Best Performance - Comedy; Best Performance - Drama and Digital Media - Short Form. Original programs having aired from November 1, 2012 to November 10, 2013 were eligible for consideration.

Nick@Nite's "Instant Mom" was this year's top nominated program, earning three nominations. The original series garnered Best Performance - Comedy nods for co-stars, Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Michael Boatman with the third nomination received in the Comedy category. Best Performance - Comedy nominees also include China Anne McClain for Disney Channel's "A.N.T. Farm" and James Lesure received a nomination for TBS' "Men at Work." In addition to "Instant Mom," nominated programs rounding out the Comedy category include: Lifetime's "Devious Maids," TV One's "The Rickey Smiley Show" and Universal Television's "The Mindy Project."

HBO dominated the Best Performance - Drama category with nominations for "Treme's" Khandi Alexander and nods for "Boardwalk Empire's" Michael Kenneth Williams and Jeffery Wright. "Treme" was also nominated for Drama alongside History's "The Bible" and the ABC primetime series, "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal." OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network also showed dominance in the Reality category earning nominations for "Raising Whitley," "Six Little McGhees" and "Welcome to Sweetie Pie's." BET Networks also received a nod for Reality. ESPN received three of the four nominations in the Sports category for its original programs, "Richie Parker: Drive," "Sapelo Island," and E:60/ESPN's "Tony Gonzalez All-In." Rounding out the Sports category is Al Jazeera America's "America Tonight: Fists of Fury."

The NAMIC Vision Awards competition extends eligibility to national broadcast and cable networks; local affiliates; local origination programs from cable operators; and VOD content produced for digital platforms. Entries were judged by a distinguished panel of entertainment industry executives. Judging is focused on overall imagery (creative merit, originality, and presentation quality), sensitivity (the consideration given to cultural nuances), writing (the depiction of issues relevant to people of color) and the quality of acting in the performance categories.

People Magazine is reporting the exciting KCA 2014 news in a article on their official website, people.com, that Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced that "Glee" star Lea Michele, "The Big Bang Theory" stars Kaley Cuoco Sweeting and Jim Parsons, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg, "Live! With Kelly and Michael" co-host Michael Strahan and Tia Mowry-Hardrict, the star of Nick at Nite's hit live-action comedy series "Instant Mom", will be presenters at the Nickelodeon 2014 Kids' Choice Awards, Nickelodeon's 27th Annual Kids' Choice Awards, where they'll be handing out Nickelodeon's coveted orange blimp awards to the winners of the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards as voted by NickHeads around the world!


Lea Michele is an American actress and singer who is best known for her performance as Rachel Berry on Fox's popular teen musical comedy-drama television series "Glee". Michele's portrayal of Rachel has received much critical praise, earning her a Satellite Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and three consecutive People's Choice Awards. She has also received two Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nomination for her performance.

Kaley Cuoco Sweeting is a American actress who first came to attention for her role as Bridget Hennessy on the ABC sitcom "8 Simple Rules". Cuoco later starred as Billie Jenkins on the final season of the supernatural drama series "Charmed". She has gained recognition for her role as Penny on the CBS comedy series "The Big Bang Theory", and has also appeared in the films "Lucky 13", "The Penthouse", and "Hop".

Jim Parsons is an American actor best known for playing the character Sheldon Cooper on the hit CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory", with his performance often cited as a significant reason for the program's success. He has received several awards for his performance, including the Television Critics Association award for the highest individual achievements in comedy, the National Association of Broadcasters Television Chairman's Award for a significant breakthrough in a specific art discipline, three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Andy Samberg is an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning American actor, comedian, writer, and member of the comedy group "The Lonely Island". He was a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 2005–2012, where he and his fellow "The Lonely Island" group members have been credited with popularizing the SNL Digital Shorts, the comical short films and music videos starring Samberg and other members of the SNL cast. He also starred in "Hot Rod", "I Love You, Man", "Hotel Transylvania", "That's My Boy", and "Celeste and Jesse Forever". He currently stars in the sitcom, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" as detective Jake Peralta, for which he won a Golden Globe in early 2014.

Michael Strahan is a retired American football defensive end who spent his entire 15-year career playing for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). During his tenure with the Giants, Strahan set a record for the most sacks in a single season in 2001, and won a Super Bowl in his final season in 2007. After retiring from the NFL, Strahan became a media personality. He is currently a football analyst on Fox NFL Sunday, and he also serves as co-host on the television morning talk show "Live! with Kelly and Michael" alongside Kelly Ripa. He starred in and produced the short-lived Fox sitcom "Brothers" and appeared as host for "Pros vs. Joes" alongside fellow Fox football analyst Jay Glazer. On February 1, 2014, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Michael Strahan will be the host of Nickelodeon's first-ever "Kids' Choice Sports" awards in July 2014.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict is an actress who has been in the public eye for over 17 years, gaining initial fame starring as Tia Landry in the Classic Nickelodeon UK comedy "Sister, Sister" opposite her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, from Paramount Television. On "Sister Sister"'s successful six-year run, Tia won two NAACP Image Awards and three Kids' Choice Awards for Favorite Television Actress. After graduating from Pepperdine University, she made appearances in various projects, including starring with her sister once again in The Disney Channel's original movie "Twitches" in 2005 and again in "Twitches Too", two years later. In 2006, Tia landed the role of "Melanie Barnett," medical student turned wife of pro-football player on The Game, which landed her two more NAACP Image Award nominations. Tia Mowry-Hardrict can currently be seen in the hit Nick at Nite/NickMom comedy series

Mowry-Hardrict also starred in with her sister Tamera and executive produced the hit STYLE network series "Tia & Tamera", which set a record as the most watched series launch in the network's history. She recently released her debut book "Oh Baby!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another", and filmed and released a fitness DVD. With her sister, she developed and launched their first product line entitled need and their first product called MILKY! hit Destination Maternity stores nationwide this spring. Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has today, Thursday 16th January 2014, announced in the following press release, from PRNewswire, the exciting Nickelodeon News that NickMom, the MotherFunny nighttime comedy programming block just for moms, has signed a development deal for a brand-new untitled comedy project with Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz of Push It Productions, Inc.!


The project will join a slate of new content in development for NickMom ranging from docu-comedy to reality competition, with a star roster of producers including Whoopi Goldberg.

NickMom has green lit six episodes of a brand-new hidden camera series, "Undercover Cupid" (working title), from executive producer Scott Stone (Nickelodeon's "BrainSurge"). The series, hosted by Nyima Funk ("Whose Line Is It Anyway?"), follows unsuspecting single moms and dads who are surprised to meet three eligible dates picked by their kids as they go about their daily lives.

NickMom, which airs nightly on Nick USA's Nick Jr. channel (10 p.m. – 2 a.m. ET/PT), finished 2013 on a high note posting double-digit gains among its core demo, up +67% with W18-49*.

Comedian/writer/producer Wanda Sykes and veteran producer Page Hurwitz joined forces in 2012 to form Push It Productions, Inc., a production company dedicated to creating quality comedy-based programming for network and cable television outlets.
