Republic Records: Kids & Family has released the original song "View from Here" from the Nickelodeon Original movie Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado!
The track co-written (with Josh Edmondson & Sam Hollander) and performed by Charity Daw is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the track after the jump. As previously reported, the label has also released a full soundtrack album for Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, featuring Kenny Wood’s original score from the film.
Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado is directed by Alberto Belli and stars Samantha Lorrain, Jacob Rodriguez, Mariana Garzón Toro, Daniella Pineda and Acston Luca Porto. The fantasy adventure premiered on Wednesday, July 2, and is available to stream on Paramount+.
The family adventure follows the world’s greatest explorer and her friends as they trek through the perilous dangers of the Amazonian jungle in search of an ancient treasure to prevent it from falling into enemy hands.
Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado features Latina heroine Dora, who returns as a 16-year-old, played by Samantha Lorraine (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah).
The Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado cast also includes: Jacob Rodriguez as Diego, Dora’s 17-year-old loyal cousin and jungle-exploring partner; Mariana Garzón Toro as Naiya, Diego’s bold and no-nonsense coworker; Acston Luca Porto as Sonny, Naiya’s younger brother with boundless energy and curiosity; Daniella Pineda as Camila the Crusader, a legend in the world of archaeology and Dora’s childhood hero; and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, as the voice of Boots, Dora’s monkey sidekick and best friend.
The film is directed by Alberto Belli (The Naughty Nine) and written by JT Billings (Are You Afraid of the Dark?). Adam Bonnett (Monster High: The Movie) serves as an executive producer, alongside Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes (Dora the Explorer).
Production of the movie for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan, Head of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Brittany Cope and Linda Halder serve as Nickelodeon’s Executives in Charge of Production. The film is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The movie will help launch “The Great Dora Fiesta,” celebrating 25th years of Nickelodeon's iconic heroine, which includes a third season of the rebooted animated series Dora, the podcast Dora’s Mermaid Adventures, an album of songs and plenty of toys and apparel.
