Nick México was the last remaining localized Nickelodeon channel in the Latin American region, following Nickelodeon Latin America switching the feeds used for its channels in South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Brazil to a European-controlled pan-regional feed in October 2023.
As has been reported for several weeks, Nickelodeon's Mexican channel was in the process of becoming a globalized channel. Today (September 1, 2025), this process was completed, and the transition occurred as planned. The channel underwent the following changes:
• Elimination of end credits for series.
• Elimination of "We're Back" bumpers, replaced by those used on globalized channels, specifically the same ones the Latin American [Panregional] channel has used since October 17, 2023.
• Addition of commercial-break bumpers, which are also the same ones the Latin American [Panregional] channel has used since October 17, 2023.
• To promote premieres and new episodes, the same promos as the globalized feeds are now used (although these had already begun airing a few weeks prior to the final globalization process).
• Removal of shorts and fillers that aired during commercial breaks.
• Removal of commercial breaks between episodes.
• Changes to the programming and removal of episodes from the first seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants.
So far, the "Now/Later" and "Up Next" banners have not been replaced with the textless banner, nor has the final banner showing the series name, production year, and production company been included. However, it is not ruled out that one will happen in the coming days.
The transition occurs at 3:15.
The news follows Paramount "pausing" Nickelodeon México's annual Kids' Choice Awards México earlier this year.
