Loungefly has released a smashing new Nickelodeon mini-backpack inspired by the network's beloved animated series, The Wild Thornberrys!
Created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó, David Silverman, Steve Pepoon, and Stephen Sustarsic, and starring Lacey Chabert, Tom Kane, Danielle Harris, Tim Curry, Flea and Jodi Carlisle, The Wild Thornberrys follows the wild adventures of 12-year-old Eliza Thornberry, who travels the world with her family in an amphibious vehicle called ComVee whilst her parents make nature documentaries. Eliza, however, has a big secret: she can talk to animals! While her parents are busy filming, Eliza learns the mysteries of the animal kingdom with her wild-child brother Donnie and her best friend Darwin, a charming chimpanzee. With every new step in their exotic adventures, they never know what to expect – after all, it’s a jungle out there.
The third Klasky Csupo collaboration for Nickelodeon following Rugrats and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, The Wild Thornberrys premiered on September 1, 1998 and ran for 92 episodes over 5 seasons, plus two feature films (The Wild Thornberrys Movie and Rugrats Go Wild) and a TV movie (The Wild Thornberrys: The Origin of Donnie).
The Loungefly The Wild Thornberrys Savanna Mini Backpack is decorated with an illustration of the African savanna with the entire Thornberry family printed on the front pocket, including the ComVee in the background. The back features a drawing of Eliza with a backpack interacting with a spider.
The backpack is made of 100% polyurethane with printed details. The straps are adjustable, and the interior has a drop pocket and a plain green lining. It is officially licensed by Nickelodeon and measures 9'' x 5'' x 10''.
