Longtime readers will remember that IDW’s Rat King has his own established identity and mythology, making this apparent appearance especially curious. Could this be a new interpretation of the character? Is there something else going on entirely?
All IDW can confirm is that the figure resembles the Rat King from the franchise’s history, while acknowledging that the villain’s existing version has a distinctly different appearance.
That leaves us with a tantalizing mystery and plenty of room for speculation. For now, take a close look at Godtail’s artwork below and decide for yourself.
