When it comes to home arcade games, Arcade1Up has the secret formula (don't tell Plankton!). The company is partnering with Nickelodeon to give their beloved claw machine a Bikini Bottom refresh, The Toy Book reports.
The SpongeBob SquarePants claw machine combines the nautical nonsense of the beloved animated Nickelodeon series with the nostalgia of arcade games. Available at Costco, this cabinet stars the silly sea creatures kids - and adults - know and love in vibrant artwork and exclusive plush toys. With retro controls and a splash of seafaring style, the claw machine is a F.U.N. addition to fans’ home arcades, bedrooms, or even living rooms.
The exterior of the game recreates SpongeBob’s iconic Pineapple Under the Sea from the show. Using the old-school controls, kids can fish for six soft, squishable plushies of their favorite characters, including icons like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, and Sheldon J. Plankton. Whether they’re new to the series or a Krusty Krab regular, kids can dive into their imaginations while honing their fine motor skills and spatial reasoning along the way.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Claw Machine is available at Costco for $599 and will set sail online in the near future.
