The classic Nickelodeon video game renaissance continues, as Limited Run Games, a premium publisher of digital and physical video games, has announced two brand new collections of retro Rugrats games: the Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection and the Rugrats Portable Collection!

Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection brings together six beloved Rugrats games from the PlayStation, N64, Game Boy, and GBA eras — some of which come in different formats — including: Rugrats: Search for Reptar (32-BIT); The Rugrats Movie (Portable/Portable Color); Rugrats: Time Travelers (Portable Color); Rugrats: Studio Tour (32-BIT); Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (32-BIT/Portable Color); and Rugrats: Castle Capers (Portable Advance). Six titles packing eight games!
As you'd expect, the collection comes with a handful of quality-of-life improvements: screen filters, the ability to save anywhere, rewind, and an in-game music player.
Meanwhile, the Rugrats Portable Collection brings together four classic Rugrats games originally released on handheld consoles, including: Rugrats Movie (Portable/Portable Color); Rugrats in Paris: The Movie (Portable Color); and Rugrats: Time Travelers (Portable Color).
Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection will be released for modern consoles PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, whilst Rugrats Portable Collection will be truly retro, and releasing on the original Nintendo Game Boy Color.
Physical pre-orders for Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection will run from Friday, May 1 - Sunday, May 31, 2026, with digital copies available beginning on May 15. Pre-orders for the physical edition will be available on Limited Run’s website. The collection will be available in Standard and Deluxe Editions, the latter will come with a XS-style jewelcase, a soundtrack, a Reptar puzzle piece keychain, and a sticker sheet.
Similarly, pre-orders for Rugrats Portable Collection will run from Friday, May 1 - Sunday, May 31, 2026, and will be available on Limited Run’s website.
The new Rugrats games follow on from 2024's brand new Rugrats game, Adventures in Gameland, along with the recently released Nickelodeon Splat Pack and Ren & Stimpy Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Collection.

- Rugrats: Search for Reptar - Originally launched in 1998 for the PlayStation console, this is the Rugrats’ first adventure, taking them through a jigsaw puzzle mystery.
- The Rugrats Movie - Based on the movie of the same name, this catalog of capers was originally available on Game Boy and Game Boy Color and finds the Rugrats on a mission to seek out the missing Dil Pickles.
- Rugrats: Time Travelers - A punchy platformer launched in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, where adventures begin in a toy store with a mysterious yet irresistible time machine.
- Rugrats: Studio Tour - A 1990 action-adventure title that initially landed on PlayStation and saw the crew exploring a variety of film sets in a movie studio packed with danger and intrigue.
- Rugrats in Paris: The Movie - This title, another fun movie spin-off, was first available on the Game Boy Color, PlayStation, and N64, and brings the team to an exciting theme park in Paris where adventures beckon.
