Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment are set to release SpongeBob SquarePants: The Complete Sixteenth Season, a brand new two-disc SpongeBob SquarePants DVD set, on Tuesday, November 3!

Season 16 of SpongeBob SquarePants dives back into the zany underwater world of Bikini Bottom with a fresh wave of imaginative adventures and laugh-out-loud antics.

Premiering on Nickelodeon on Friday, June 27, 2025, this season continues the legacy of nautical nonsense with 22 segments across 13 episodes, blending classic humor with inventive new storylines. The season kicks off with “SpongeBob and Patrick’s Timeline Twist-Up,” where Patrick’s malfunctioning time closet sends SpongeBob spiraling through iconic moments from the show’s early years. From revisiting “Rock Bottom” to restoring Bikini Bottom’s timeline, the episode sets the tone for a season packed with nostalgia and chaos.

Other standout stories include “Bizarro Bottom,” which transports SpongeBob to a topsy-turvy alternate universe, and “Curse of the WereDoodle,” where a bite from DoodleBob transforms SpongeBob into a monstrous doodle creature.

Season 16 embraces its trademark absurdity with episodes like “Gorilla Suit Day,” where SpongeBob’s costume leads to a case of mistaken identity, and “Exchange Student Driver,” sending him to a bizarre driving school far from home. Fans will also enjoy spooky thrills in “The Haunted Bucket,” a Halloween special featuring ghostly hijinks at the Chum Bucket, and heartwarming humor in “Pigskin Pearl,” where Pearl becomes a football star.
