The third season of Nickelodeon's hit CG-animated Paramount+ Original preschool series, DORA, is set to premiere in July 2025! The launch of the new season will coincide with the Great Dora Fiesta.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, the third season will continue to follow everyone’s favorite bilingual explorer, Dora, as she continues her epic adventures through the mystical and magical rainforest.
The series stars Diana Zermeño as Dora; Asher Colton Spence as Boots; Anairis Quiñones as Map and The Fiesta Trio’s Armadillo; Marc Weiner as Swiper; Mike Smith Rivera as Papi; Maria Canals-Barrera as Abuela; Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset; Katarina Sky as Backpack; Donovan Monzon-Sanders as Tico; Tandi Fomukong as Isa; Quintún Muñoz as Benny; Chris Gifford as Big Red Chicken; and Kathleen Herles, the original voice of Dora the Explorer, as Mami. Additional guest stars include Taboo as Quickatoo and Kate del Castillo as Ale the Alebrije. Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black, In the Heights) joined season two as La Reina.
DORA is produced by Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank, Calif., and created by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes. Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Rich Magallanes serve as executive producers. Henry Lenardin-Madden serves as co-executive producer, and Alejandro Bien-Willner serves as story editor. Marielle Kaar is Nickelodeon's Executive in Charge of Production for the series.
The series has already been greenlit through to season four, which will introduce viewers to new thematic elements, and making it one of the largest multi-season commitments in Nickelodeon's history.
This year also marks the 25th anniversary of Nickelodeon's beloved preschool property.
Since its launch on Nickelodeon on August 14, 2000, Dora the Explorer quickly emerged as a global pop-culture phenomenon and, nearly 25 years later, remains one of the most-watched preschool shows of all time. Dora has crossed social, racial and language boundaries and stands as a hero and friend to millions of children around the world. The series is seen in more than 150 countries and territories and translated in 32 languages on Nickelodeon channels and Paramount+ around the globe and through syndication. Dora the Explorer was created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Eric Weiner.
Throughout its original eight-season run, Dora the Explorer received countless accolades, including Emmy®, Peabody, NAACP, Alma, Imagen, Latino Spirit, Gracie Allen, Parents’ Choice, Common Sense Media and Television Critics Association awards.
Fans can also look forward to an extensive DORA consumer product line, spanning toys, books, apparel and much more, as well as the brand new live-action movie, Dora & the Search for Sol Dorado, scheduled to premiere later this year on Nickelodeon and Paramount+!
Starring Samantha Lorraine (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah) as the title role and Jacob Rodriguez (Tell Me Lies) as Diego, the adventurous and resourceful cousin of Dora, the film will watch as Dora, Diego, and their new friends trek through the perilous dangers of the Amazonian jungle in search of the ancient and powerful treasure of Sol Dorado to keep it out of enemy hands. The new live-action family film being produced for Nickelodeon and Paramount+ by Nickelodeon Studios. The movie is being directed by Alberto Belli (Upload, Naughty Nine, Black Scorpion) from a script by JT Billings (Are You Afraid of the Dark?).
Nickelodeon will also treat fans to ongoing digital content, with new Dora videos and shorts set to launch across the Dora official YouTube channel, Nick Jr., Toymation, and the freshly launched official Dora the Explorer Instagram page in 2025.
Season one and season two of DORA are currently available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and also on Nick Jr. internationally. Additional Dora content, including all eight seasons of Dora the Explorer, is also available on Paramount+ as part of the expansive ExploraDora Collection.
The debut of the new season of DORA comes as Spin Master, the global toy licensee for the series, is gearing up to launch its diverse DORA toy collection. Expected to launch during Fall 2025, the line will include figures, dolls, playsets, vehicles, plush, roleplay, games and puzzles, inspired by Dora, her companion Boots and other beloved characters and locales they explore.
To celebrate the upcoming release of the all-new DORA toy range, Spin Master has unveiled a first look at two of their new DORA toys on the global children's entertainment company's official press website!
First up we have a look at the DORA Explore & Play Rainforest Casita playset. When opened, this immersive playset features 7 play areas that can be accessorized with the provided Dora and Boots figures and 8+ play pieces.

The Casita brings children hours of play as they go on their own adventures by sliding down the bright red slide, hanging from the vines and flower, swinging on the treetop swing, crossing the wobbly bridge, having a dance party with Boots and Dora, and even uncovering a surprise visit from Swiper. Luckily, you'll know just what to say to keep the crafty fox away: "Swiper, no swiping! Swiper, no swiping!"
The DORA playset will feature songs and sounds straight from the show, and will also come with an exclusive collector’s card that allows your child to expand their bilingual knowledge just like Dora. SRP $49.99; Age 3+.
Next up is the Dance With Me Dora doll. Learn to dance from Dora as she dances and twirls with the push of her flower buttons on her shoes. This 12-inch doll comes with two vibrant interchangeable skirts and two barrettes that Dora and your child can wear and share.
