Following the debut of its new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds x SpongeBob SquarePants promo video (which you can watch here), Paramount+ has dropped a behind-the-scenes blooper reel full of illogical, astro-nautical amusement.

Featuring a never-before-seen mashup of Star Trek and SpongeBob, the reel gives a fun peek behind the scenes at the filming of the spot starring Strange New Worlds cast members Ethan Peck (Spock), Anson Mount (Christopher Pike), and Celia Rose-Gooding (Nyota Uhura), who are joined on the Patrick Starship Enterprise by SpongeBob SquarePants, Sandy Cheeks, and Mr. Krabs. The new video pokes fun at the making of the short and features some funny moments where we see the creative stand-in solutions (including plushes and puppets) for the animated SpongeBob characters.
“Patrick Starship Enterprise” is the third spot of Paramount+'s “Find Your Mountain” ad campaign, the latest chapter of Paramount+’s award-winning Mountain of Entertainment™ brand campaign, and the new ad is the third in a series of star-studded live-action brand spots featuring unexpected mashups that showcase the personalized content experience on Paramount+.
