Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, has announced the super Nick UK news in their latest new "All New All Nick" trailer/promo that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK will start to premiere and show more brand-new episodes of Nickelodeon's original comedy series "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn", starting with the all-new episode "Poo Dunnit", from Monday 30th March 2015 at 4:30pm (replayed at 5:30pm on Nick+1), as part of Easter on Nickelodeon UK!


In the brand-new NRDD episode "Poo Dunnit", the quadruplets' trip to their favourite waterpark is canceled when their parents discover someone forgot to flush the toilet...again! But who was the culprit?

In the brand-new "The Thundermans" episode "Shred It Go", everybody's going crazy for the coolest band in town. However, Phoebe (Kira Kosarin) is devastated when she thinks the family's new shredder has accidentally destroyed her concert tickets, not realizing that Max has them so he can take his crush to the concert. Im „The Next Step Studio“ treffen sich junge Tänzer und die, die es werden wollen. Nicknight zeigt die Live-Action Serie ab dem 6. April immer montags bis freitags um 21:55 Uhr.

Bei 'The Next Step' verfolgen alle nur einen Traum: Teil der „A-Truppe“ zu werden und das Tanzstudio bei den Regionalmeisterschaften zu vertreten. Für das Vortanzen und die Qualifikation arbeiten alle hart. Wer es nicht schafft und den strengen Anforderungen nicht gerecht wird, rutscht in die „B-Truppe“.

Neben dem Druck, es bis zu den Meisterschaften zu schaffen, müssen die Tänzer rund um Teamleaderin Emily noch ganz andere Probleme bewältigen. Freundschaften und Intrigen beeinflussen nicht nur ihr Privatleben, sondern auch ihre Performance im „The Next Step Studio“. SINGAPORE, 17 MARCH 2015 - A head cheerleader's life takes an unexpected twist when her rifle-like throwing arm takes her from the sidelines to becoming her middle school's starting quarterback in Nickelodeon's newest live-action comedy series, Bella and the Bulldogs, premiering in Asia on Monday, 6 April at 5.15pm (HK/SG) and 5.30pm (PH), and Saturday, 11 April at 3.55pm (TH/WIB) and 4.55pm (MY).

In this new comedy ripped right out of this year's headlines of girls playing traditionally "boy" sports, Bella Dawson (played by newcomer Brec Bassinger), a confident, caring and talented teenager, suddenly finds herself fulfilling a lifelong dream but also having to navigate the world of her teammates Troy (Coy Stewart), Sawyer (Jackie Radinsky) and Newt (Buddy Handleson), without losing her two best friends, Pepper (Haley Tju) and Sophie (Lilimar) from the cheer squad.

In the series premiere episode entitled "Newbie QB- Part 1," head cheerleader Bella's dream comes true when she earns a chance to try out to be quarterback of her middle school football team. The rest of the team, led by current quarterback Troy, does everything in their power to make her give up, but Bella must rise to the challenge to make her dream a reality.

Executive produced by Jeff Bushell, the show was created by Nickelodeon Writing Program alumni Gabriel Garza and Jonathan Butler, who also serve as co-executive producers. Garza began his writing career by being selected for the program in 2009, where he met his future writing partner and fellow program alum Jonathan Butler. Prior to selling their pitch to Nickelodeon and beginning development on Bella and the Bulldogs, both Butler and Garza were staff writers on The Haunted Hathaways.

Nickelodeon UK Uses Facial Coding To Measure Ad Response

The market research news website Research has unveiled a fantastic article, below, about how Nickelodeon UK, the number one commercial kids TV network in the UK, used facial coding to measure children's in-the-moment responses to advertising as part of their recent research project, "My Media, My Ads"!:

Nickelodeon uses facial coding to measure ad response

UK — Kids TV channel Nickelodeon has embarked on a research project to measure children's in-the-moment responses to advertising.

Speaking at the MRS conference on Kids and Youth Research, its head of insight Alison York explained that there was a clear trend for one giant screen that the family gathered around in the living room, with multiple additional personal handheld devices.

In terms of TV advertising, children's ad recall is very high – 75% can remember an ad on TV recently. And there is an understanding of what TV advertising is from an early age.

York explained that the media company worked with Momentum Research to use facial coding to measure emotions and therefore engagement. It identified five key reactions: humour, active engagement, pleasure, displeasure and disengagement – with the first two the most important.

"We were sceptical to begin with and it took us a while to get our heads around but we may now use it for content development as well as for advertising," said York.

She identified some key pointers for talking to kids in this medium: have one key message; use characters; use audio cues; have a clear and interesting voice-over; keep it simple and talk on their level.

"This is the emergence of the swipe generation: there is an average of 8.4 different devices in a household," she said. There has been a particular increase in tablets and the rise of children owning them thanks to hand-me-downs from parents.

However she pointed to some theories on multi-screening not being pertinent to children.

"Seventy-three percent of children say they are multi-screening when watching TV but we think there is over-claim in this," said York. "It depends on the developmental stage as to whether they are capable of multi-screening."

So, four to six year olds can't do it, seven to nine year olds start to practice multi-screening, so while they may appear to be multi-screening they are actually flicking between the two. By the age of 10, children start to multi-screen said York.

In Nickelodeon's research it found that 50% of the time when kids are watching TV, that is the only thing they are doing.
