Nickelodeon Brazil Launches 'Slime é Nick Experience' and 'Laboratório Slime' Shopping Centre Activations

Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) has partnered with Brazilian shopping centre chain Iguatemi to launch a brand-new and unique retail activation inspired by Nickelodeon's iconic slime!

Designed by creative agency Outra Praia, the space, entitled "Slime é Nick Experience", features a circuit divided into five slime-themed zones - the ‘Elásticos Slime’ obstacle course, ‘LED Slime’, ‘Piscina de Slime’ ('Slime Pool'), ‘Slime Lab’ e ‘Piscina de Bolinhas’ - each providing children of all ages lots of fun and interactive activities. Kids are also invited to make their very own slime in a unique and playful way, and take their photos at the bespoke Cachoeira de Slime (Slime Waterfall), located nearby outside the circuit.

The "Slime é Nick Experience" will make its debut at the Iguatemi Florianópolis shopping centre on Friday 11th January 2019, where kids can take part in the slime-themed activities weekdays between 2pm-8pm and Saturdays between 12pm-8pm. The "Slime é Nick Experience" is free to attend and take part in, and will be visiting Iguatemi Florianópolis until Sunday 3rd February 2019.

Update (18/1) - To celebrate the school holidays, Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil) has also partnered with interactive activations specialist 2a1 Cenografia to launch a second slime-themed activation at the Shopping D shopping mall in São Paulo!

The critically acclaimed SpongeBob SquarePants musical was named Best Musical by the Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle and earned 12 Tony Award nominations - the most nominated musical of the 2017-2018 theatre season - including nods for Best Musical, director Tina Landau, book writer Kyle Jarrow, title player Ethan Slater (in his Broadway debut), and the all-star roster of songwriters (including Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, and John Legend) who contributed to the score. Following a Chicago tryout during summer 2016, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical opened at Broadway's Palace Theatre during Fall 2017, where it ran for 327 regular performances and 29 previews, defying critical expectations by earning some of the warmest reviews of the season. The show closed in September 2018 to make way for refurbishments at the Palace Theatre.

While many expected a theme park-style brand extension, the show surprised theatergoers with its wild Dadaist comic sensibility, ingenious design and winning performances, notably from gifted 26-year-old newcomer Ethan Slater, making a terrific Broadway debut in the title role.

Early in 2019, school and youth group licensing rights will be available, with professional licensing to follow. A North American tour will begin fall 2019.

SpongeBob SquarePants first debuted on Nickelodeon USA on May 1, 1999 and is still going strong.

Since its launch in July 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has emerged as a pop culture phenomenon. The series has been the most-watched animated program with kids 2-11 for more than 15 consecutive years, and over the past several years, it has averaged more than 100,000,000 total viewers every quarter across all Nickelodeon networks. Hillenburg graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a master's degree in experimental animation and his undergraduate degree, from Humboldt State University, was in natural science with an emphasis in marine biology. Hillenburg executive produced the series until his untimely passing in November 2018. His first feature film, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, which debuted Nov. 19, 2004 and his second theatrical, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, hit theaters Feb. 6, 2015, landing at #1 opening weekend.

SpongeBob SquarePants has been renewed through to at least the show's twelfth season, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019, has its own critically acclaimed Broadway show, set to tour the U.S. from Fall 2019, and has a third upcoming movie, The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge, set to be released in Summer 2020. Nickelodeon also recently revealed plans to spin off the characters from SpongeBob SquarePants into their own stand-alone series, specials and feature-length movies. TV Tokyo to Premiere 'PAW Patrol' on Saturday 6th April 2019

The Japanese television station TV Tokyo will debut Nickelodeon and Spin Master's top-rated CG-animated preschool series PAW Patrol on Saturday 6th April 2019 at 10:30am! The Japanese launch of PAW Patrol will mark the first North American preschool show to launch to Japan in over 10 years.


Leading up to the premiere, fans can meet and greet costumed PAW Patrol characters at the Takara Tomy stall at Family Anime Festa 2019 between Saturday, March 23rd - Sunday, March 24th, 2019 10:00-17: 00 (last entry 16:30). The event is free to take part in.

Following the Japanese launch of PAW Patrol, Takara Tomy (Tomy) will launch Spin Master's bespoke PAW Patrol toy line in the Japanese market in May 2019!

Championship Partners with Nickelodeon Russia and Jögel to Host New Year's Football Tournament for Kids on Sunday 23rd December 2018

Championship, a project in Russia which focuses on encouraging children to participate in sport and the largest network of children's football schools in Russia, has partnered with Nickelodeon Россия, the number-one children's channel in Russia, and high-end German-Russian sports equipment brand Jögel to host a special New Year Football tournament for kids aged 5-6 on Sunday 23rd December 2018!


The New Year's tournament will be the first in a series of 20 regional Championships football competitions scheduled for the end of 2018 and 2019. Tournaments will be held in major cities and regions of Russia and CIS countries, such as Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, Crimea and others.

The purpose of the tournaments is to encourage children to participate in football competitions and to bring modern values to children's sports: where kids can play the global favourite game without peer pressure or fear of defeat. During the tournament, young football players get a boost of energy and inspiration, the opportunity to show-off their football skills, and the chance to spend at least 50% of playing time (or at least 5 games) on the football field. Participants will also get honorary medals, diplomas and prizes, regardless of if they win or lose.


Following the New Year's tournament, Nickelodeon and Champion will continue to collaborate on regional tournaments, informational partnerships and new projects, including for children's festivals and joint events for children and the whole family.

Additionally, Championship and Jögel's partnership will not be limited to tournaments and gifts for young footballers: the companies plans include a large-scale collaboration. Already in 2019, a number of new co-branded equipment for young football players will appear on the market. Футбольный праздник в Чемпионике


24 февраля прошел первый региональный турнир для юных футболистов Чемпионики в возрасте от 5 до 10 лет, генеральным партнером которого стал детский телеканал Nickelodeon.

«Праздничный турнир», приуроченный ко Дню Защитника Отечества, стал первым региональным московским турниром Чемпионики в 2019 году и собрал 60 юных футболистов из 6 городов: Реутов, Лобня, Новая Москва, Красногорск, Митино, Наро-Фоминск. Генеральным партнером турнира стал Nickelodeon — №1 детский тематический канал по доле телесмотрения и охвату среди детей от 4 до 17 лет*.

«Участие в таких турнирах очень важно и для детей, и для родителей, и для тренеров. Для детей такие игры — это практика. На тренировках не всегда есть возможность полноценно поиграть в футбол, а тут мы восполняем это в полной мере. Для родителей — это возможность окунуться в увлечение своего ребёнка, поболеть за него и за его команду. Nickelodeon Russia (Россия) has announced the Turtley Awesome news that the Russian professional radio host, DJ, translator, voice artist and founder of dubbing studio "Kuraj-Bombey”, Denis Kolesnikov, who has provided his voice for the Russian dubs of hit U.S. series such as The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, will be providing the voice of Donatello's sidekick drone named Sheldon in the brand-new Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Эволюция Черепашек-ниндзя) hour-long special "The Evil League of Mutants", premiering on Nickelodeon Россия on Sunday 31st March 2019 at 10:50 MCK (encore at 17:45 MCK)! «КУРАЖ-БАМБЕЙ» ОЗВУЧИЛ РОБОТА В МУЛЬТСЕРИАЛЕ «ЭВОЛЮЦИЯ ЧЕРЕПАШЕК-НИНДЗЯ»

«Кураж-Бамбей», знакомый российским зрителям по таким ситкомам, как «Теория Большого Взрыва» и «Детство Шелдона», озвучил в «Эволюции Черепашек-ниндзя» робота по имени Шелдон. Герой появится в мультсериале в серии под названием «Лига злобных мутантов».

«В моем детстве черепашки-ниндзя воспринимались как современные супергерои – я был их фанатом уже тогда. Поэтому, когда мне сказали, что в одной из новых серий у них появляется робот-помощник Шелдон, я не мог устоять и сразу согласился стать его голосом, ведь в сериалах «Теория Большого Взрыва» и «Детство Шелдона» на Paramount Сomedy я также озвучил героя по имени Шелдон», — сказал Денис Колесников.

В премьерных эпизодах черепашки-ниндзя предстанут в роли жуколовов и сразятся с мутантами-москитами в Нью-Йорке, столкнутся с толпой злодеев после неудавшихся экспериментов с клеем и устроят концерт, который внезапно прервется вторжением аниматронной армии «Медведио».

«Эволюция Черепашек-ниндзя» рассказывает новую историю героев, знакомых многим поколениям детей. Действие шоу переносится в мистический мир: в нем Донателло, Леонардо, Микеланджело и Рафаэль получают сверхспособности и используют их для защиты Нью-Йорка от самых невероятных существ.

Помимо Дениса Колесникова, в российской версии мультсериала персонажей впервые озвучили известный радио- и телеведущий Антон Комолов (Донателло), стендап-комик Евгений Чебатков (Леонардо), рэпер ST (Рафаэль), а также видеоблогеры Gary (Микеланджело) и Мари Сенн (Эйприл О’Нил). Основную музыкальную тему мультсериала на русском языке исполнил ST.

freeSAT Slovakia to Add Hungarian Versions of Nickelodeon, Nicktoons and Nick Jr. on Monday 1st April 2019

The Slovak DTH platform freeSAT has announced the exciting news that the platform will be adding Nickelodeon Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Nicktoons CEE and Nick Jr. CEE to its service! Available from Monday 1st April 2019, the Nickelodeon channels, which will broadcast with a Hungarian soundtrack, will be part of the freeSAT medium HD package. Nick Jr. will broadcast on channel no. 86, Nickelodeon will broadcast on channel no. 87, and Nicktoons will broadcast on channel no. 88.


Additionally, freeSAT Slovakia also added the Hungarian-language versions of MTV, Comedy Central and Comedy Central Family to its service today, Friday 1st March 2019. Comedy Central and Comedy Central Family are available on 127 and 128, respectively, and MTV is available on channel 129. All three channels form part of the freeSAT medium HD package.

NickToons Hungary (Magyarország) is slated to officially launch on the on the Magyar Telekom platform on Tuesday 2nd April 2019, following the channel receiving a soft launch on Tuesday 12th February 2019.

Kanál ponúka jedinečný výber filmov a v rámci Filmu týždňa a Filmu mesiaca divákom ponúka najnovšie hollywoodske trháky i premiéry súčasných hitov v českom dabingu. Na Slovensku pribudne aj maďarský Comedy Central
Po maďarsky hovoriaci priaznivci televíznej zábavy nájdu už od marca na pozíciách 127 a 128 Comedy Central a Comedy Central Family, dva obľúbené komediálne kanály. Comedy Central patrí medzi najpopulárnejšie značky televíznej zábavy generácie Y. Komediálny žáner stelesňuje v oceňovaných neskoro nočných komediálnych seriáloch, animovaných i hraných seriáloch, či špeciálnych edícii stand-upových vystúpeniach a skečoch. Vysiela ikonické a kultové seriály ako South Park, Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory či Modern Family. Okrem toho ponúka stand-upy z vlastnej dielne či inú maďarskú produkciu.

Comedy Central Family je relatívny nováčik, keďže sa na televíznej scéne objavil len v roku 2017. Zameriava sa na malých fanúšikov televízie, ktorým prináša nekonečnú zábavu a väčšinu známych hrdinov detského sveta. Či už je to Máša a medveď, Ferdo Mravec alebo vždy veselá Ovečka Shaun, deti svoju obľúbenú rozprávku nájdu od 1. apríla na pozícii 89.

Rovnako od apríla pribudnú nové kanály aj pre maďarsky hovoriace deti. Kanál Nick Jr. prinesie svetoznáme a obľúbené seriály ako Slnečný deň (Sunny Day), Tlapková hliadka (PAW Patrol), Bubble Guppies, Plamienok a štvorkolky (Blaze and the Monster Machines), Shimmer and Shine a Dora a priatelia (Dora and Friends: Into the City).

Vďaka kanálu Nicktoons sa k deťom hovoriacim po maďarsky od apríla dostanú aj ďalšie animované seriály. Tešiť sa môžu okrem iných na Legendu Korry, Ninja korytnačky alebo úplne nový Vzostup ninja korytnačiek (The Rise of TMNT).

Školákov a tínedžerov zase poteší spustenie kanálu Nickelodeon, ktorý im sprístupní známe seriály ako Bella a buldoci (Bella and Bulldogs), Sam & Cat alebo Thundermanovci v maďarčine.

Nickelodeon's new animated preschool series, Butterbean’s Café

Preschoolers will be whisked away on magical culinary adventures in Nickelodeon’s brand-new CG-animated series, Butterbean’s Café, premiering Saturday 2nd March 2019 at 11:00am (AEST) on Nickelodeon Greece's (Ελλάδα)! Following launch, new episodes of Butterbean’s Café will air regularly on Nickelodeon Ελλάδα.

Leading up to the linear launch of Butterbean’s Café, Nickelodeon Greece treated viewers to an advance look at the series on its recently launched Nick+ SVOD app, available exclusively on Vodafone TV in Greece.

Created by Robert Scull and Jonny Belt (Bubble Guppies), Butterbean’s Café, the series (40 episodes) centres on a fairy named Butterbean and her adventures running her neighborhood café and bakery, and showcases creative cooking and features a curriculum with social-emotional lessons that highlight kindness and gratitude, and leadership skills.

In the series, Butterbean, her fairy friends--Dazzle, Poppy and Jasper --and her little sister Cricket take pride in serving up healthy snacks and sweet treats to the residents in their community of Puddlebrook. Butterbean’s special magic beans, the fairies’ enchanted kitchen tools and the team’s can-do spirit all combine to make their cafe the most awesome eatery in town.

Butterbean’s Café made its world debut on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Monday 12th November 2018, where it became Nickelodeon's highest-rated preschool series debut since the 2013 launch of PAW Patrol, posting double-digit year-over-year gains and averaging a 4.6/456,000 with Kids 2-5 (+27%). The new episode (1 p.m. [ET/PT]) also drew 1.3 million total viewers (+55%). The will be rolling out on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks throughout 2019.

The US-English dub of Butterbean’s Café features the voice talent of Margaret Ying Drake as Butterbean, Olivia Grace Manning as Dazzle, Kirrilee Berger as Poppy, Koda Gursoy as Jasper, Gabriella Pizzolo as Cricket, and Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black) as Ms. Marmalady, and features guest voice appearances by top celebrity chefs and culinary experts, including Richard Blais (Top Chef, Guy’s Grocery Games), Alton Brown (Good Eats, Iron Chef America), Carla Hall (The Chew, Top Chef), Padma Lakshmi (Top Chef), Giada De Laurentiis (Giada at Home) and Rachael Ray (The Rachael Ray Show).

Nickelodeon Names Lego as First-Ever Global Sponsor of Kids' Choice Awards

The Lego Group has partnered with Nickelodeon as it becomes the first-ever global sponsor of the Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA) due to take place next month in LA.

The partnership will feature an international campaign across Nickelodeon's markets in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific territories.

To mark the sponsorship, the creative around the campaign will feature heroes from the Lego Ninjago TV series.


Due to be released on Thursday 7th March 2019, the spot will tell the tale of Lord Garmadon – the power-hungry Lord of Destruction. In true Kids' Choice slimy fashion, the Lego ‘bad guy’ is on a mission to steal the slime cannon, and it is up to the Lego Ninjago characters to defeat him to save the day (and the awards).

The campaign will feature custom-made linear stop-motion animation teaser content which will run on TV, as well as a two-minute social video story to lead up to the KCAs.

The entire story will also launch as custom branded programming on Nickelodeon’s YouTube channels. Leveraging the power of influencers, the campaign has YouTuber Devin Supertramp on board to craft a piece to go live on the channel which will amplify the global Lego partnership with Nickelodeon around the show.

Nickelodeon is also posting the campaign across 16,000 international billboards.

The news follows trainers on wheels company Heelys previously sponsoring the pan-European editions of Kids’ Choice Awards, beginning in 2015.

The news also follows Nickelodeon announcing earlier this month plans to air LEGO® CITY, a all-new high-stakes CG-animated comedy, created and produced by LEGO Group, which depicts the funny, smart, and dynamic slices of life within the sprawling and diverse LEGO CITY community. Set to debut later this year, the series follows the intertwining paths of the city's everyday heroes as they work together to stop a mysterious master criminal who begins to wreak havoc on their town.

This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards, hosted by DJ Khaled, will take place on Saturday, March 23, at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California, and will broadcast live on Nickelodeon USA and YTV Canada. Within hours of the live show, KCA 2019 will roll-out on Nickelodeon channels internationally, providing kids around the world in more than 170 countries and territories the opportunity to tune into their local Nickelodeon channel to enjoy Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 and experience stunts, surprises and slime at every turn!

Fans can cast votes on the official Kids’ Choice Awards website, KCA2019.com, and on the Screens Up app on supported iPad, iPhone and Android devices in the US. International fans can also cast votes through the Nick Play app in regions where it is available. Fans will also be able to cast their vote through social media on Twitter, and for the first time ever, Nickelodeon will be enabling voting on specific posts on Instagram.
