Nickelodeon Films 'NFL Slimetime' Special

Nickelodeon recently filmed a NFL Slimetime special, it has been revealed!

According to an open casting call issued by Central Casting Louisiana, Nickelodeon has been casting kids in the New Orleans, Louisiana area for paid background roles in the NFL Slimetime special, with production "seeking children ages 8–12 of all genders and ethnicities who are excited to participate in a fun, high-energy television shoot featuring an NFL star player." Selected talent must be comfortable getting covered in real slime while filming.

At the time of posting, it's currently unknown whether this was a one-off special, or part of a series of special NFL Slimetime episodes. According to an Instagram flyer, filming took place in the New Orleans Area on Saturday, August 29, however, according to the casting call's official webpage, the casting call expires on Thursday, September 17, which may suggest more episodes are being filmed.

John Slattery  is an Emmy and Critics Choice Award-nominated actor who can be seen alongside Zoey Deutch and Jon Hamm in David Wain's Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, which made its debut at Sundance 2026 and premiered at Tribeca Festival on June 10. The film follows Midwest bride, Gail Daughtry, as she travels to Hollywood seeking revenge by pursuing her own celebrity encounter when her fiancé uses their "celebrity pass" agreement. The film was released theatrically July 10. • August 13, 2026 - Paramount+ today announced that production is underway on Discretion, the eight-episode legal thriller adapted from Chandler Baker's short story, starring Academy Award^® and Emmy^® winner Nicole Kidman, Academy Award^® and Emmy^® nominee Elle Fanning, and Josh Lucas. The series will be executive produced and written by acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Baker and executive produced by Academy Award^® and Emmy^® nominee Susannah Grant. Kidman and Fanning also executive produce via their Blossom Films and Lewellen Pictures banners, respectively. Emmy^® nominee Matt Shakman, who serves as executive producer, will direct the first four episodes. Produced by A24, the series will launch globally on Paramount+ in 2027.

• Joining the previously announced cast as series regulars are Golden Globe^® and Emmy^® nominee Stephan James (I Play Rocky, If Beale Street Could Talk) and Colton Ryan (The Girl from Plainville). James will play "Logan," a sharp corporate associate who becomes a mentor to Lenny. Ryan will star as "Boone," Lenny’s (Fanning) ex-boyfriend, a recovering addict from an affluent Dallas family, now nine months sober living at a halfway house while quietly trying to rebuild his life.

• Neal Huff, Emmy^® Nominee Gaby Hoffmann, and Sky Yang will star alongside Emmy and Tony^® Award Winner, Academy Award^® Nominee and executive producer Jeremy Strong (Succession, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, The Apprentice) in The Best of Us, (formerly titled 9/12) the upcoming six-episode limited series for Paramount+ that tells the story of the David vs. Goliath fight that exposed corruption and won justice for 9/11’s ailing heroes.

• Neal Huff (Fallout, A Murder at the End of the World) will play “Peter Allen,” Jason’s (Strong) pragmatic colleague at the law firm who is a sounding board and early on questions the viability of the case.

• Emmy nominee Gaby Hoffmann (Transparent, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere) will play “Kathleen McCormick,” a seasoned FDNY firefighter and activist who is deeply affected by the ongoing deaths from 9/11.

• Sky Yang (Last Days, Rebel Moon) will play “The Lost Son,” a young and mysterious homeless man who has experienced hardship at a young age.

• The Best of Us dramatizes a landmark case that reshaped the fight for accountability: a relentless legal war that stretched nearly a decade to secure almost $1 billion in compensation for first responders who fell gravely ill in the wake of 9/11.

• As previously announced, Jeremy Strong stars as renowned class action lawyer “Jason Smith.” Andrea Riseborough and Barry Pepper star as “Molly” and “Coach,” respectively.

• Produced by Paramount Television Studios and SISTER, the limited series is written, directed and executive produced by Tobias Lindholm (The Investigation, A War) and written and executive produced by Frank Pugliese (House of Cards). Strong is also executive producer.

• Neal Huff can be seen this fall as John D. Rockefeller in The Gilded Age as well as in Crystal Lake. Other television credits include The Madness, Fallout, A Murder at the End of the World, The Sinner, Mare of Easttown and The Wire. In the Oscar winning film Spotlight, Neal played survivor and advocate, Phil Saviano. Other film credits include The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom, Meek’s Cutoff, Waves and Nasty Baby. Neal’s most recent theatre credits include the Broadway production of To Kill a Mockingbird as Link Deas opposite Jeff Daniels and later, Bob Ewell opposite Ed Harris. Before that, he played Willie Oban in the Broadway production of The Iceman Cometh starring Denzel Washington.

• Gaby Hoffmann is currently shooting Little One where she stars opposite David Harbour and recently wrapped a supporting role in A24’s Deep Cuts. She can be seen in Scott Cooper's Bruce Springsteen Biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere and will be seen soon in Kelly Reichardt’s The Mastermind. Previous roles include Ali Pfefferman in the series Transparent; and Adam's erratic and mesmerizing sister Caroline in Girls.  In film, noteworthy credits include C'mon, C'mon (opposite Joaquin Phoenix); Wild; Obvious Child; You Can Count on Me; 200 Cigarettes. Other current TV credits include Adam McKay's Winning Time; Zero Day opposite Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, and Robert DeNiro, and Eric, opposite Benedict Cumberbatch.

• Sky Yang, following The Best of Us, Yang will begin production on Paramount Pictures’ upcoming feature Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. He just finished filming on Unspeakable opposite Eliza Scanlen directed by Corinna Faith. He recently wrapped on The Exiles in Taiwan directed by Midi Z with Sam Worthington. Upcoming projects include The Uprising, directed by Paul Greengrass, starring Andrew Garfield and Cosmo Jarvis, in North American cinemas from September 11 2026. A LAMDA graduate (2020), Sky made his TV debut in Halo, followed by a leading role in Holding, directed by Kathy Burke. Sky made his stage debut in Nick Hytner’s The Book of Dust at the Bridge Theatre. He made his Royal Court debut in Scenes from a Repatriation in 2025. Sky’s film career started with a leading role in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon followed by: Shoulders, Anniversary, and Whistle. He landed his first feature lead in Last Days, marking Justin Lin’s return to independent filmmaking. Shot in 2024 after a series of delays, the film premiered at Sundance 2025.

Filming Wraps On Paramount+ Australian Original Drama, Who The Hell Is Hamish?

Dominic Cooper and Claire van der Boom Star Alongside An All-Star Ensemble Cast in Gripping Series From Hoodlum Entertainment And CBS Studios.

August 11, 2026 – Paramount+ Australia announced that filming has wrapped on the Paramount+ original series, Who The Hell Is Hamish?.

The gripping new six-episode drama starring Dominic Cooper and Claire van der Boom was filmed in Queensland with the support of Screen Australia and Screen Queensland and is set to premiere exclusively on Paramount+ globally later this year.

The series is written and created by five-time AACTA-winning writer and producer Adam Zwar (Austin, Mr Black), directed by multi-award-winning film and television director Jeffrey Walker (The Artful Dodger, Apple Cider Vinegar) and produced by Emmy^® and BAFTA^® Award-winning production company Hoodlum Entertainment and CBS Studios.

Who The Hell Is Hamish? is inspired by an industrious fraudster, and the group of victims who eventually decided they had had enough of him. The charming and cultured Hamish (Dominic Cooper) sets his sights on Bec (Claire van der Boom), a recently divorced single mother with three sons and access to a significant family trust. When Bec notices gaps in his story and some odd behaviour, what starts as private unease widens into something far larger: a pattern of deception spanning continents and suspected of leaving more than $70 million in its wake.

Dominic Cooper (Preacher, The Gold) leads the series in the role of Hamish, with Claire van der Boom (Blacklight, The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race) as Bec, alongside an outstanding Australian ensemble cast, including, Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), William McKenna (Heartbreak High), Kate Jenkinson (Wentworth), Miah Madden (My Brilliant Career), Fraser Anderson (Audrey), Yasmin Kassim (FING!), Doris Younane (Five Bedrooms), Maria Angelico (Strife), Marta Dusseldorp (Bay of Fires), John Howard (Colin from Accounts), Andrea Moor (Spit), Joel Jackson (Peter Allen), Remy Hii (Spiderman: Far From Home), Damien Garvey (The Survivors), Jack LaTorre (Kid Snow) and introducing Harvey Bowen.

August 5, 2026 – Paramount+ today announced Trauma, a new medical action-thriller series from Lionsgate Television and 42 Management & Production, starring Golden Globe^®-winning actor Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, Bodyguard, Eternals). The series will premiere on Paramount+ in all available territories excluding the U.K. and Ireland.

• Logline: When terrorists seize a busy London Hospital and take the Prime Minister hostage during surgery, former Royal Marines medic turned ER doctor Jim Marchant (Richard Madden) must fight his way through the building to save everyone inside. As he takes the hospital floor by floor, the balance of power shifts—and the building becomes a deadly battle of strategy, nerve and survival.

• Trauma, which is a working title, is produced by Lionsgate Television and 42. The series is created by Geoff Bussetil (Slow Horses, Scoop, Skins), who will also write. Prime Video and Paramount+ will co-produce. The series is directed by Daniel Syrkin (Tehran, MobLand) and produced by Chrissy Skinns (A Spy Among Friends, The Last Kingdom), with 42’s Chris Kennedy serving as co-producer. Madden, Syrkin and 42’s Ben Pugh and Ben Cavey will executive produce.

• Trauma came together through a unique co-production model brokered by Lionsgate Television and 42, bringing together Prime Video and Paramount+ for distribution. Lionsgate holds a minority stake in 42.

August 4, 2026 – Paramount+ today announced that it has greenlit a new thriller titled Ascent, starring Emmy^®, Grammy^®, Oscar^® and Tony^® Award-winning actress, Viola Davis and created by Tony Award winner and three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (Skyfall, Gladiator, Michael, Penny Dreadful). Logan will serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside executive producers Michael Aguilar (Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Kidding, The Departed), and Davis and Julius Tennon for JuVee Productions.

• Produced by Paramount Television Studios, Ascent is slated to begin production in Los Angeles in 2027.

• Ascent is a character-driven thriller set in the dangerous world of global corporate crisis and damage control. Davis will play elite corporate fixer Catriona Vail, who must weaponize the ruthless skills that have made her indispensable to billion-dollar clients when her estranged daughter is in danger.
