Animator Matt Danner Developing Series Pilot For Nickelodeon

The entertainment news website Deadline.com is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that animator Matt Danner currently has a series pilot in development for a potential brand-new Nickelodeon show!


An animation prodigy who scored his first job working for John Kricfalusi, the creator of Nickelodeon's classic original animated series "The Ren & Stimpy Show", while in high school, Matt Danner is a Los Angeles-based animation director known for his work on "The Looney Tunes Show", "The Drinky Crow Show", "George Liquor Program", "Xiaolin Showdown", and the stop-motion animated "WWE Slam City", a original animated short-form series which currently airs Nickelodeon USA's "NickSports" programming block on Nicktoons USA. He's currently directing an animated "Hot Wheels" feature trilogy for Mattel and a CG/live-action movie adaptation of his Fantagraphics storybook "Sock Monkey: Into The Deep Woods", which he co-authored with comics scribe Tony Millionaire. Danner and Millionaire are repped by The Coppage Company.

Anthony Bourdain To Guest Star In Upcoming Episode Of "Sanjay and Craig"

The New York Times is reporting the exciting Nickelodeon news that American chef, author, and television personality Anthony Bourdain (CNN's "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown") will be a guest star in a upcoming brand-new episode of Nickelodeon's hit original animated buddy comedy series (Nicktoon) "Sanjay and Craig"!

In the all-new episode, scheduled to premiere on Nick USA during early 2015, Anthony Bourdain will voice a character called "Anthony Gourmand", the host of Craig's favorite TV show, "Foodventurer". Gourmand is looking for the "ultimate" food, which 12-year-old Sanjay (Maulik Pancholy) and his best bud Craig (Chris Hardwick) are convinced he will find in their hometown of Lundgren. But when it turns out that Gourmand's "ultimate food" is snake, Sanjay has to figure out a way to save Craig from Gourmand's clutches.

"I'm a mega fan of "Sanjay and Craig". I've seen absolutely every episode", says Bourdain via e-mail to the NYPost. "This is a show I wish had existed when I was a kid. It has all the elements that I looked for in my childhood for entertainment and was deprived of - stinky stuff, farts, toilet humor, gross stuff. Awesome.":

CNN’s Anthony Bourdain (“Parts Unknown”) has lent his pipes to an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon’s animated ’toon “Sanjay and Craig” as “Anthony Gourmand,” the host of Craig’s favorite TV show, “Foodventurer.”

Gourmand is looking for the “ultimate” food, which 12-year-old Sanjay (Maulik Pancholy) and his talking snake, Craig (Chris Hardwick), are convinced he will find in Lundgren (that’s where they live).

But when it turns out that Gourmand’s “ultimate food” is snake, Sanjay has to figure out a way to save Craig from Gourmand’s clutches.

“I’m a mega fan of ‘Sanjay and Craig.’ I’ve seen absolutely every episode,” says Bourdain via e-mail. “This is a show I wish had existed when I was a kid. The episode will air early next year.
