Nickelodeon Iberia To Premiere "Legends Of The Hidden Temple" On Friday 17th February 2017
Nickelodeon Iberia will premiere the highly anticipated Legends of the Hidden Temple original TV movie, inspired by Nick USA's iconic ‘90s game show of the same name, on Friday 17th February 2017 at 19:40 on Nickelodeon Portugal and at 20:40 on Nickelodeon Spain (España)! Locally titled Leyendas del Templo Perdido in Spain, Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School, Transformers 5), Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer (Bubble Guppies, Shimmer and Shine) join original TV show host, Kirk Fogg, and voice of Olmec, Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!, SpongeBob SquarePants), in the 90-minute action-adventure movie, which tells the story of three siblings who embark on a high-stakes, life-or-death mission.

12-Year-Old Dutchess County, NY Actress Gets Royal Treatment In "Nella The Princess Knight"
Akira Golz, a 12-year-old Southern Dutchess, NY resident is the voice behind Nickelodeon's brand-new animated preschool series, Nella the Princess Knight!
The animated show, geared to the preschools set, premieres Monday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nick USA. The series centers on Nella, an unconventional 8-year-old who possesses the royal qualities of a princess, like compassion and grace, while also embodying the courage and determination of a brave knight.
Whenever a problem arises, Nella embarks on daring quests to save her kingdom through her unique ability to transform from a princess into Nella the Princess Knight. The show features a social-emotional curriculum promoting self-confidence, inclusiveness and compassion for others.
Following its U.S. launch, Nella the Princess Knight will debut internationally in spring 2017, including on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland in May 2017.
Golz, who sings, dances and acts, said getting this role was a dream come true. Though she's lent her voice to Nickelodeon's Dora the Explorer and Peter Rabbit, this is her first starring role. The actor and model, who has been in the business since age five, has also appeared on Broadway in Matilda, along with other regional theater musicals. She said she likes voicing Nella because she's so "cool."
"I'm still trying to process it all," she told Daily Voice. "This is what I've wanted to do for a long time." She particularly likes the fact that Nella likes dancing at extravagant balls just as much as she likes meeting fire-breathing dragons.
Golz can relate as she loves softball, body surfing and dodging through New York City on her scooter, just as much as she does lacing up pointe shoes and singing.
Leading up to Nella the Princess Knight's series premiere, NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App will feature exclusive content including a full-length episode, as well as original pieces of short-form content. NickJr.com and the Nick Jr. App will also launch a brand-new game inspired by the show, in which players ride through the kingdom with Nella and help return sleeping dragons to their homes.
Robert Vargas (head writer, Zack and Quack) serves as an executive producer on the show and the series is created by Christine Ricci (curriculum advisor, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora the Explorer).
As for where Golz will be when the show airs? Said the tween: "I'll be at school."

LOS ANGELES — Now it’s war: Nickelodeon, once again winning the children’s ratings race against Disney Channel, has decided to throw its weight behind ... a princess.
Nickelodeon has always had its share of magical kingdoms, but this Viacom-owned cable network has tended to leave the princess business to Disney. (And what a business it is, generating an estimated $5.5 billion a year in merchandise revenue alone.) But here comes “Nella the Princess Knight,” which Nickelodeon will introduce on Monday in a programming block for preschoolers.
The self-designated Princess Police, mostly academics who use Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and their slender ilk to make points about their negative impact on young girls, have been a perennial thorn in Disney’s side, even as the company has introduced black and Latina royals, along with a preschool one, “Sofia the First.” Will Nickelodeon now find itself in a similar position?
Maybe not. The self-empowered Nella pushes boundaries, at least for television aimed at 2-year-olds, in the areas of race and gender. She is biracial, with a black father and a white mother, a decision informed by Nickelodeon research indicating that most children under 12 will be nonwhite by 2020 and that already 17 percent are biracial. The character also mashes together traditional boy and girl gender norms.
Nella may ride a unicorn with a pink mane (à la My Little Pony), but she does it while brandishing a sword and wearing knight gear, a bit like a preschool version of Brienne of Tarth from “Game of Thrones.” She is a girlie girl but does traditional boy activities (battling a dragon) and does not spend the majority of her time in a ball gown.
Nickelodeon’s princess may strike some adults as subversive, particularly given the surge of conservatism that helped push Donald J. Trump into office. But children see mixed-race families and the blurring of gender lines as normal, said Cyma Zarghami, Nickelodeon’s longtime chief. “Adults might say, ‘Oh, look — she’s biracial,’ but our viewers just say, ‘That looks like my friend,’” she said.
“An older generation was taught tolerance, and this audience is demanding difference,” said Ms. Zarghami. She led Nickelodeon to ratings strength in 2016 among total viewers and children ages 2 to 11, even as competitors like Disney Channel and Cartoon Network recorded sharp year-on-year drops. (According to Nielsen, Disney still has a big lead among viewers 6 to 14.) She added, “This series seems to be taking on a life of its own, which is incredibly exciting.”

Nella (voiced by Akira Golz, Matilda) is an 8-year-old who possesses princess-like compassion and grace while also embodying the courage and determination of a brave knight. Sir Garrett is Nella’s next-door neighbor, and he comes from a long line of knights. Other characters include Trinket (voiced by Samantha Hahn), Nella’s unicorn, and Clod, Garrett’s trusty steed.
“He’s one of Nella’s best friends,” Micah told Newsday of his character. “He’s daring and likes to go on adventures. And he’s kind and loyal.”
Micah, a home-schooled fourth-grader, says he uses his regular voice in the series, but makes it more excited and animated than usual. “We do one line at a time,” he says of the taping, which is done once every week or two at a studio in New York City. He reads his lines from a script. “I have a voice director,” he says.
Micah’s not the only voice artist in his family — his older brother, Koda, 12, was a voice of the character Boots in Nickelodeon favorite Dora the Explorer. “His agent asked me if I would like to try doing it,” Micah says. Micah also has a sister, Hadassah, 5.
When he’s not performing, Micah likes to play soccer. His favorite subject in school is science.

Berlin 02. Februar 2017 – Das Voting ist eröffnet. Neben den internationalen Stars sind diese Größen für Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz nominiert: Lina Larissa Strahl und Lisa-Marie Koroll ("Bibi & Tina"), Wincent Weiss, Lukas Rieger und Lena Gercke (Lieblings-Star: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz) sowie Dagi Bee, DominoKati, Die Lochis und Julien Bam (Lieblings-Vlogger: Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz).
Präsentiert wird die diesjährige Slime-Party von US-Wrestling Superstar John Cena, der sich mit den Stars den einen oder anderen Schaukampf liefern wird. Nickelodeon zeigt die Show am 12. März um 19:00 Uhr.
Die Nominierten für die Nickelodeon 'Kids’ Choice Awards' 2017 stehen fest. Jetzt ist es an den Kids rund um den Globus zu bestimmen, welchen der angesagtesten Superstars die große Ehre einer grünen Slime-Dusche zuteilwird. Gefeiert werden die internationalen Favoriten aus den Bereichen Film, TV und Musik, darunter Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Daya, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Megan Fox, Lukas Graham, Kevin Hart, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Felicity Jones, Leslie Jones, Anna Kendrick, Bruno Mars, Melissa McCarthy, JoJo Siwa, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, Twenty One Pilots und viele mehr.
Mit ganz neuen Kategorien versprechen die von Kids auf der ganzen Welt als Chaos-Promiparty heißgeliebten 'Kids’ Choice Awards' in diesem Jahr zu einer nie dagewesenen Slime-Orgie zu werden. Unter anderem in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal am Start sind die Kategorien “Lieblings-Frenemies ("Freundfeinde")“, “Lieblings-'Hätte ich auch gerne'-Tier“ und “Lieblings-Filmcast”. Ausgestrahlt werden die von WWE Superstar John Cena moderierten 2017 'Kids’ Choice Awards' in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz am Sonntag, den 12. März, um 19:00 Uhr bei Nickelodeon.
Es wird John Cenas erstes Mal als Host der weltweiten 'Kids’ Choice Awards' sein, aber der Mann ist nicht nur in Wrestler-Kreisen eine ganz große Nummer, sondern auch ein heißgeliebtes Mitglied der Nickelodeon Familie. Mit seiner Moderation der australischen 'Kids’ Choice Awards' 2008 und seiner Slime-Taufe anlässlich der ersten UK 'Kids’ Choice Awards' in 2007 ist er mehr als qualifiziert, die Bühne des USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles zu rocken.
Ab heute können Kids auf der ganzen Welt ihre Stimme abgeben und zwar zum ersten Mal auf allen digitalen Nickelodeon Plattformen wie kca2017.nick.com und via Nick App über alle Devices (iOs, Android). Außerdem kann mittels spezieller KCA-Hashtags plus Hashtag des Lieblings-Stars via Twitter und Facebook abgestimmt werden. Up-and-coming pop diva Shekhinah and hip-hop maverick Nasty C are set to bring in the crowds at the second edition of NickFest, the country’s biggest and most exciting family-centric festival (TicketPro Dome, 25 to 26 March 2017).

The Back to the Beach songbird and the Bad Hair rapper will be performing their biggest hits and busting some cool moves on the NickFest stage in front of thousands of pre-schoolers, tweens and teens and their families. Spectacular acts at NickFest
Up-and-coming pop diva Shekhinah and hip-hop maverick Nasty C are set to bring in the crowds at the second edition of NickFest, the country’s biggest and most exciting family-centric festival (TicketPro Dome, 25 to 26 March 2017).

The Back to the Beach songbird and the Bad Hair rapper will be performing their biggest hits and busting some cool moves on the NickFest stage in front of thousands of pre-schoolers, tweens and teens and their families. Nickelodeon's International Channels Announce Their Local 2017 Kids' Choice Awards Nominees
To help make Nickelodeon's 30th Annual Kids' Choice Awards the most global and biggest Kids' Choice Awards ever, many of Nickelodeon's international channels and networks have announced their localized country specific voting categories and nominations, which will allow Nickelodeon viewers around the world to vote for their countries local favourites!

Nickelodeon Announces 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards Nominations

Voting Begins Today, Thursday, Feb. 2, with WWE Superstar John Cena Hosting Show, Live on Saturday, March 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)
Burbank, Calif.,--Feb. 2, 2017--Nickelodeon today announced the nominees for the 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards, the only live event where kids’ votes count and the biggest stars of the day line up to get slimed. Celebrating kids’ favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music and pop culture, this year’s all-star list of nominations include: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Daya, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Megan Fox, Lukas Graham, Kevin Hart, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Felicity Jones, Leslie Jones, Anna Kendrick, Bruno Mars, Melissa McCarthy, JoJo Siwa, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, Twenty One Pilots and more.
Highly regarded as an unpredictable, celebrity-filled mess-fest, Kids’ Choice Awards this year features nine new categories guaranteed to be unique to this awards season, like “Favorite Frenemies,” “Most Wanted Pet” and “#Squad.” Hosted by WWE Superstar John Cena, Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards airs live on Saturday, March 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles.
Beginning today, kids can cast their votes across 28 categories with a brand-new voting experience on Nickelodeon’s digital platforms including Nick.com and the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle, and Android devices. Users will also be able to vote through Twitter and Facebook using special KCA hashtags and the hashtag of their favorite nominee. Fans also can join in on the slime-fest by going to Nick.com/kca17, the official destination for everything Kids’ Choice Awards, for hilarious videos, the KCA Creator game, quizzes and pictures, and to get the latest KCA news on this year’s show, nominees and attendees.
In television, kids will have the opportunity to vote for first-time nominees, Black-ish, Fuller House, Supergirl, Paradise Run and The Loud House, along with their choice between America’s Got Talent, Shark Tank, The Voice, America’s Funniest Home Videos and American Ninja Warrior for “Favorite Reality Show.” Nickelodeon’s Jace Norman was nominated for “Favorite Male TV Star” in Henry Danger and Breanna Yde is up for “Favorite Female TV Star” in School of Rock. Additionally, in the “Favorite Cartoon” category, kids will choose between ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teen Titans Go!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Amazing World of Gumball and The Loud House.
Stars will vie for the blimp across ten music categories, with Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Twenty One Pilots topping the list with four nominations each. After ruling the Billboard and iTunes charts, The Chainsmokers make their Kids’ Choice Awards nominee debut with two nods for “Favorite Music Group” and “Favorite New Artist.” Adele, Beyoncé, Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony also garnered two nominations each, while internet sensations Carson Lueders, Jacob Sartorius, Johnny Orlando, JoJo Siwa, Matty B and Tiffany Alvord battle it out in the new category of “Favorite Viral Music Artist.” For the first time ever, the KCAs will also feature a new music category for “Favorite Global Music Star,” which features six artists from around the world battling it out for the honor of a blimp.
Superheroes, trolls and turtles dominated the movie categories with Captain America: Civil War, conjuring up top affirmations with eight nominations. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice followed closely behind with seven, while Ghostbusters and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story garnered five each. Stars receiving first time nods in the film category include, Justin Timberlake for “Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie” in Trolls (bringing his total nominations to seven), Kristen Wiig for “Favorite Movie Actress” in Ghostbusters, and Felicity Jones for “Favorite Butt-Kicker” in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Kevin Hart makes a double appearance in the new category “BFF’s (Best Friends Forever),” nominated for Central Intelligence and Ride Along 2 -- bringing his total 2017 KCA nominations to six.
While this will be Cena’s first time hosting the global show, he is beloved worldwide by the Nickelodeon family, having previously hosted Australia’s Kids’ Choice Awards in 2008, as well as undergoing a sliming at the first UK Kids’ Choice Awards in 2007.

NICKELODEON ANNOUNCES 2017 KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS NOMINATIONS

ACROSS 28 CATEGORIES
Burbank, Calif.,--Feb. 2, 2017--Nickelodeon today announced the nominees for the 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards, the only live event where kids’ votes count and the biggest stars of the day line up to get slimed. Celebrating kids’ favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music and pop culture, this year’s all-star list of nominations include: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Daya, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Megan Fox, Lukas Graham, Kevin Hart, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Felicity Jones, Leslie Jones, Anna Kendrick, Bruno Mars, Melissa McCarthy, JoJo Siwa, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, Twenty One Pilots and more.
Highly regarded as an unpredictable, celebrity-filled mess-fest, Kids’ Choice Awards this year features nine new categories guaranteed to be unique to this awards season, like “Favorite Frenemies,” “Most Wanted Pet” and “#Squad.” Hosted by WWE Superstar John Cena, Nickelodeon’s 2017 Kids’ Choice Awards airs live on Saturday, March 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), from USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles.
Beginning today, kids can cast their votes across 28 categories with a brand-new voting experience on Nickelodeon’s digital platforms including Nick.com and the Nick app on iPad, iPhone, Kindle, and Android devices. Users will also be able to vote through Twitter and Facebook using special KCA hashtags and the hashtag of their favorite nominee. Fans also can join in on the slime-fest by going to Nick.com/kca17, the official destination for everything Kids’ Choice Awards, for hilarious videos, the KCA Creator game, quizzes and pictures, and to get the latest KCA news on this year’s show, nominees and attendees.
In television, kids will have the opportunity to vote for first-time nominees, Black-ish, Fuller House, Supergirl, Paradise Run and The Loud House, along with their choice between America’s Got Talent, Shark Tank, The Voice, America’s Funniest Home Videos and American Ninja Warrior for “Favorite Reality Show.” Nickelodeon’s Jace Norman was nominated for “Favorite Male TV Star” in Henry Danger and Breanna Yde is up for “Favorite Female TV Star” in School of Rock. Additionally, in the “Favorite Cartoon” category, kids will choose between ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teen Titans Go!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Amazing World of Gumball and The Loud House.
Stars will vie for the blimp across ten music categories, with Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Twenty One Pilots topping the list with four nominations each. After ruling the Billboard and iTunes charts, The Chainsmokers make their Kids’ Choice Awards nominee debut with two nods for “Favorite Music Group” and “Favorite New Artist.” Adele, Beyoncé, Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony also garnered two nominations each, while internet sensations Carson Lueders, Jacob Sartorius, Johnny Orlando, JoJo Siwa, Matty B and Tiffany Alvord battle it out in the new category of “Favorite Viral Music Artist.” For the first time ever, the KCAs will also feature a new music category for “Favorite Global Music Star,” which features six artists from around the world battling it out for the honor of a blimp.
Superheroes, trolls and turtles dominated the movie categories with Captain America: Civil War, conjuring up top affirmations with eight nominations. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice followed closely behind with seven, while Ghostbusters and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story garnered five each. Stars receiving first time nods in the film category include, Justin Timberlake for “Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie” in Trolls (bringing his total nominations to seven), Kristen Wiig for “Favorite Movie Actress” in Ghostbusters, and Felicity Jones for “Favorite Butt-Kicker” in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Kevin Hart makes a double appearance in the new category “BFF’s (Best Friends Forever),” nominated for Central Intelligence and Ride Along 2 -- bringing his total 2017 KCA nominations to six.
While this will be Cena’s first time hosting the global show, he is beloved worldwide by the Nickelodeon family, having previously hosted Australia’s Kids’ Choice Awards in 2008, as well as undergoing a sliming at the first UK Kids’ Choice Awards in 2007.

Nickelodeon Italy To Premiere "Legends Of The Hidden Temple" On Friday 17th February 2017
Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) will premiere the highly anticipated Legends of the Hidden Temple original TV movie, inspired by Nick USA's iconic ‘90s game show of the same name, on Friday 17th February 2017! Locally titled Le leggende del tempio nascosto, Isabela Moner (100 cose da fare prima del liceo, Transformers 5), Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer (Bubble Guppies, Shimmer and Shine) join original TV show host, Kirk Fogg, and voice of Olmec, Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!, SpongeBob SquarePants), in the 90-minute action-adventure movie, which tells the story of three siblings who embark on a high-stakes, life-or-death mission.

The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie follows three siblings, Sadie (Moner), Noah (Critchley), and Dudley (Jurgensmeyer), who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature elements from the original game show including: Olmec, a talking stone head who greets anyone who dares to enter the temple; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.
Legends of the Hidden Temple is executive produced by Scott McAboy and Michael Sammaciccia, and produced by Amy Sydorick. The TV movie is directed by Joe Menendez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and written by Jonny Umansky & Zach Hyatt, and Alex Reid.
