In the episode, an accident while investigating a time portal sends Ensign Brad Boimler through time from the twenty-fourth century, and Captain Pike and his crew must get him back where he belongs before he can somehow alter the timeline.

Brian Posehn Sells Pilot for New Animated Series to Nickelodeon

Actor, voice actor, musician, writer, and comedian Brian Posehn recently sold the pilot for a potential brand new animated series to Nickelodeon, Billboard has revealed!

Update (6/2/22) - Brian Posehn has hinted that his new animated series may have been picked up, and along as co-creating it, he'll be starring in the series!

Update (7/23/23) - A new article on BroadwayWorld Denver has revealed that the actor is still "currently co-creating and starring in an upcoming cartoon for Nickelodeon"!

Posehn is known for his roles as Jim Kuback on The WB's Mission Hill and Brian Spukowski on Comedy Central's The Sarah Silverman Program. He also had a recurring roles on The Big Bang Theory as geologist Bert Kibbler, New Girl as the Biology Teacher, and Just Shoot Me! as Kevin Liotta. He has also appeared on hit series such as Everybody Loves Raymond (Walter / Warren), Friends (Messenger), Becker (George), Teachers (Zeke) and Will & Grace (Pete), as well as animated series, including Transformers: Animated (Nino Sexton / Nanosec), Adventure Time (Business Man #1), Bob's Burgers (Choo-Choo), Steven Universe (Sour Cream / Zombie / Person at Dance) and Nickelodeon's The Mighty B! (Ride Guy) and The Penguins of Madagascar (Duane).

In 2006, Relapse Records released his first album, Live In: Nerd Rage. It includes "Metal by Numbers", a song mocking the formulaic nature of modern "metal" at the time of its release. The instrumental tracks feature musicians such as guitarist Scott Ian (of Anthrax), bassist Joey Vera (then of Anthrax, but also of Armored Saint and Fates Warning), drummer John Tempesta (of The Cult and White Zombie), and lead guitarist Jonathan Donais (of Shadows Fall). Posehn also appeared in the Anthrax music videos for "What Doesn't Die" and "Blood Eagle Wings". Posehn appeared on a Season 4 episode of the music talk show That Metal Show and Lamb of God's Walk With Me In Hell DVD, and performed "More Metal Then You", a song that was included on his non-musical stand-up comedy album Fart & Weiner Jokes, with "Brian Posehn's All-Star Band" on the 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. Posehn appeared in The Damned Things music video for "We've Got A Situation Here". He provided backing vocals for Evile's album Five Serpent's Teeth.

Posehn’s Grandpa Metal comes out February 14 on Megaforce Records, and is available for pre-order.

Posehn has also provided voice work for video games Brütal Legend as The Hunter and Star Warped as co-narrator Brian. Posehn has also voiced Grunts and various Marines in the 2004 video game Halo 2.

Posehn appeared in the commercial "Ink Fairy" for Staples office supply store in its ad campaign featuring the "Easy Button."

In 2006, Posehn co-wrote the comic book The Last Christmas with writer Gerry Duggan, published by Image Comics.

As part of the Marvel NOW! initiative Posehn and Gerry Duggan co-wrote the Deadpool ongoing comic series which launched in November 2012, lasting 45 issues.

Since 2012, Posehn has hosted a podcast called Nerd Poker, where a group of comedians play Dungeons & Dragons. Co-hosts include comic book writer Gerry Duggan and comedian Blaine Capatch, among others.

Posehn has also participated in the Dungeons & Dragons campaign Force Grey: Lost City of Omu, hosted by Matthew Mercer.

New 'Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2' Suggests 'Kamp Koral' SpongeBob Will Be Featured In Sequel

An alleged new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 leak has seemingly revealed that young SpongeBob from Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years will be included in the rumored sequel, with speculation that he'll be an alt costume for the main SpongeBob character in the game!

The Kamp Koral leak was first reported on the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl subreddit, which then made its way to Twitter.

Released in October 2021, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a platform fighter game featuring well-loved characters, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Garfield. Many players have been requesting other characters, such as Squidward and Jimmy Neutron, to be included in future DLCs, but the game has not been updated for a few months.

Earlier this year, leaked screenshots showed a new move for Patrick, a new model for Danny Phantom that seems to use 2D facial expressions, and suggested that Squidward would be joining the roster. Then, last month, a leaked image claimed to show the game's box art, which also confirmed that Vlad Plasmius, Jimmy Neutron, and TMNT's Raphael would become playable, and just earlier this month, El Tigre leaked.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years is the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants spinoff. The CG-animated prequel series follows 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals during summer sleepaway camp where they spend their time building underwater campfires, catching wild jellyfish and swimming in Lake Yuckymuck at the craziest camp in the kelp forest, Kamp Koral. The series is available to stream on Paramount+.

Paramount+ Unveils First Look at 'Star Trek: Lower Decks' Season 4 at SDCC 2023; New Season to Premiere Sept. 7

Paramount+ today revealed the official trailer for Season 4 of its hit original animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks during the Star Trek universe presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. It was also announced at the panel that the highly anticipated fourth season will premiere with two episodes on Thursday, September 7. New Season 4 teaser art was revealed as well, the design an homage to Star Trek: IV: The Voyage Home.

Created by Emmy Award winner Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites), in Season 4 of Star Trek: Lower Decks, an unknown force is destroying starships and threatening galactic peace. Luckily, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos isn’t important enough for stuff like that! Instead, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and Provisional Ensign T’Lyn are keeping up with their Starfleet duties, avoiding malevolent computers and getting stuck in a couple caves – all while encountering new and classic aliens along the way.

The Starfleet crew residing in the “lower decks” of the U.S.S. Cerritos includes Ensign Beckett Mariner, voiced by Tawny Newsome; Ensign Brad Boimler, voiced by Jack Quaid; Ensign Tendi, voiced by Noël Wells; and Ensign Rutherford, voiced by Eugene Cordero. The Starfleet characters that comprise the U.S.S. Paramount+ Unveils First Look at 'Star Trek: Discovery' Season 5 at SDCC 2023

Paramount+ today (July 22) revealed an action-packed extended sneak-peek clip from the upcoming final season of Star Trek: Discovery during the Star Trek universe presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. The new clip features Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Burnham and Season 5’s newest cast members Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner, Elias Toufexis as L’ak and Eve Harlow as Moll. The clip also includes the return of guest star David Cronenberg as the enigmatic Dr. Kovich. One of the service’s longest running original dramas, the series will conclude with its upcoming fifth season in early 2024.
