KY: Nickelodeon's 'Sunny Day Tour' To Visit Lexington-Area Walmart Supercenters This June [Updated]

Maysville, KY - Nickelodeon’s popular animated preschool series Sunny Day is pulling into Maysville’s Walmart store parking lot today, Thursday, June 21, 3-7 p.m.!

The Sunny Day Tour brings the show to life in select Walmart parking lots with a wide array of family-friendly activities and giveaways inspired by the show.

Update (6/22) - The tour will also be in the parking lots of the following Kentucky Walmart Supercenters:

- Friday, June, 22nd – Store #1140 @ 499 INDIAN MOUND DR. MOUNT STERLING , KY / 3-7 p.m.
- Saturday, June 23rd – Store #2628 @ 4051 NICHOLASVILLE RD. LEXINGTON, KY / 10 a.m.-noon
- Saturday, June 23rd – Store #571 @ 112 OSBOURNE WAY GEORGETOWN, KY / 5-7 p.m.
- Sunday, June 24th – Store #720 @ 301 LEONARDWOOD RD. FRANKFORT, KY / 10 a.m.-noon

This interactive experience is free to the public and will feature lots of activities for fans of the show, including:

- Giveaways.

- Hair styling, nail art and temporary tattoo stations.

- Photo opportunities with the characters.

- Interactive Sunny Day product play tables.

Sunny Day centers on Sunny, a 10-year-old master hairstylist and entrepreneur who uses creative problem-solving to tackle any dilemma that arises in her seaside town of Friendly Falls. The characters in the series celebrate individuality and self-expression, while the show’s social-emotional curriculum highlights leadership, innovative thinking and teamwork. Nickelodeon will introduce kids to the wild and amazing world of animals with the brand-new clip-based series Zoofari, premiering Monday 16th July 2018 on Nick Jr. Italy (Italia). Made up of hilarious live-action footage, Zoofari (20 half-hour episodes) showcases the most adorable and incredible animals from around the world–from furry to feathered, scaly and more. The trick-shot brotherhood that is Dude Perfect are bringing their action-packed challenges to Nickelodeon Italy (Italia) in the comedy-sports series, The Dude Perfect Show, premiering on TeenNick Italia with double episodes on Monday 2nd July 2018 at 20:00 and 20:25, respectively.

Comprised of five best friends—Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert, twins Coby and Cory Cotton, and their beloved panda mascot—Dude Perfect take fans inside their 25,000 square-foot extreme-sports paradise as they dream up the next viral video. Following the shows debut, Teen Nick Italia will air two new The Dude Perfect Show episodes everyday at 20:00 and 20:25.

It's currently unknown whether TeenNick will air the first season of The Dude Perfect Show, made for CMT in the US followed by encores on Nickelodeon USA's sports-themed programming block, NickSports, or The Dude Perfect Show, which was produced for Nickelodeon. However, when Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand began airing The Dude Perfect Show in November 2017, they went straight to season two.

Season two features some of the Dudes’ most outrageous stunts, including a 170 foot shot into the world’s largest basketball hoop from the top of a ten story building, creating life-sized board games and blindly navigating each other through “trust obstacles.” Upcoming episodes will also feature some of today’s biggest athletes and celebrities such as Bethany Hamilton (professional surfer), DeMarcus Ware (nine-time NFL Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion), and Jack Griffo (I Thunderman).

In the second season premiere of The Dude Perfect Show, "Velcro Dodgeball, Trust" (#201), with the help of The Thundermans star Jack Griffo, the Dudes adhere to a new game of dodgeball; Later, the guys decide to test their level of trust!

Ken Hudson Campbell Replaces Jeffrey Tambor as Voice in Paramount and Nickelodeon’s Upcoming Animated Movie ‘Wonder Park’

Ken Hudson Campbell is now voicing the character of Boomer the Bear

Jeffrey Tambor, who in recent months has been accused of harassment, has been replaced as voice talent in Paramount and Nickelodeon's upcoming CG-animated theatrical movie Wonder Park, a Paramount spokesperson told TheWrap on Thursday (21st June 2018).

Tambor has been replaced in the film, which had previously been titled Adventure Park and Amusement Park, by Ken Hudson Campbell, whose credits include Armageddon, Groundhog Day and Home Alone.

“Jeffrey Tambor is not part of the final voice cast for Wonder Park. During production, we came to the decision that it was in the best interests of the film to go in a different direction,” the Paramount spokesperson told TheWrap. “The character of Boomer the Bear is now voiced by the very talented Ken Hudson Campbell.”

Wonder Park is scheduled for a wide release across the USA on Friday 15th March 2019 of next year.

A tribute to creativity, Wonder Park tells the story of 10-year-old June, a wildly imaginative young girl who builds models of amusements parks with her mother. When her mother falls sick and has to go away for treatment. June packs away her models, and loses her sense of wonder. But one day in the woods, in a magical moment, she discovers a roller coaster car buried under ivy. It transports her to a fantasy wonder park, like the ones she used to build, populated by animals who were its past employees. But the park is broken down, abandoned and in a state of decay. With the park’s animals, June sets out to fix it and rediscover her sense of confidence and imagination, overcoming her fears.

Following the release of the film, Nickelodeon will also launch a brand-new television series inspired by the movie in 2019. Funrise, Inc. will serve as the worldwide master toy partner for the franchise.

In November, Tambor was accused of misconduct by three women — his ex-assistant and transgender actress Van Barnes, Transparent actress Trace Lysette, and makeup artist Tamara Delbridge. Tambor denied the allegations, but in February it was announced that Tambor would not be returning for the fifth season of Amazon Prime’s Transparent, following an investigation into the matter. Tambor called the investigation “deeply flawed and biased,” saying, “I am profoundly disappointed in Amazon’s handling of these false accusations against me” in a statement.

Tambor returned to his role as dysfunctional family patriarch George Bluth Sr. in the fifth season of Arrested Development on Netflix, which premiered in May 2018. However, the return became mired in controversy, when his Arrested Development costar Jessica Walter told the New York Times that Tambor had verbally harassed her on set. The interview also created fallout for a number of Tambor’s male Arrested Development costars, who were criticized for appearing to gaslight Walter while defending Tambor.
