Bargain – Limited Series

In the new K-drama series Bargain, men are lured to a remote hotel under the guise of sexual encounters only to be caught in a trafficking ring where their organs are auctioned off to the highest bidder. After a catastrophic earthquake, the victims, traffickers and buyers all are trapped inside the crumbling building. Cut off from the outside world, they must fight to survive the aftermath at any cost.

Bargain stars actors Jin Sun-kyu (Extreme Job), Jun Jong-seo (Money Heist: Korea) and Chang Ryul (My Name) and is an adaptation of director Lee Chung-hyun’s short film of the same name that was released in 2015. All six episodes of the festival-award-winning South Korean drama will premiere on 5 October on Paramount+

Sometimes dead is better…but it would appear nobody has heeded those famous words from Stephen King’s novel because we now have another movie that is loosely based on his dark and disturbing work.

Serving as a prequel to 2019’s Pet Sematary, which was based on the 1983 novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines follows young Jud Crandall on his attempt to leave his hometown Ludlow, Maine. Before he’s able to leave he encounters the dark, sinister secrets of the town which holds him back from leaving. Starring Jackson White, Forest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern and Samantha Mathis, premieres 7th October on Paramount+.

Monster High 2 follows Clawdeen Wolf (Miia Harris), Draculaura (Nayah Damasen) and Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot) as they enter sophomore year at Monster High. The power of three is put to the test as they face even bigger challenges this year—new students, new powers, evolving friendships, and an even bigger threat that could not only tear their friendship apart, but could change the world forever. The movie will also introduce new character Toralei (Salena Qureshi), a feisty British were-cat, back after a year abroad in Scaris, France. Also airing on Nickelodeon the same day.

Get ready to toss those salads and scramble those eggs as Frasier has re-entered the building! Kelsey Grammer is returning as Dr. Frasier Crane in this revival of the popular comedy series that ended in 2004.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

“Filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, the new series follows Frasier Crane (Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building.”

In addition to Grammer, the new series stars Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son Freddy; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate Eve; Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew David; and Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor Alan.

We just need Paramount Comedy's PText and Mailbox back!

October 19

The Burning Girls is a brand new chilling British horror series based on the novel of the same name by C.J. Tudor. Starring Fantastic Beasts actor Samantha Morton and Bridgerton and Lockwood & Co star Ruby Stokes who play a Vicar and her daughter. Both arrive in a new village named Chapel Croft in hope of a fresh start, however, the community has a dark history where ancient superstitions and mistrust of outsiders are common, a warm welcome is far from guaranteed!

Scream VI (2023)

In this instalment of the long-running franchise, the survivors of the Ghostface killings leave Woodsboro behind and begin a new life in New York City. Will they be safe in their new surroundings? Well, the movie would be rather pointless if they were.

It’s not long before another series of killings begins as the surviving characters are once again faced with the masked murderer. Who’s beneath the mask this time?

In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”) and Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise alongside Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving.

The brand new 8-part drama series based on the novel by Thomas Mallon, Fellow Travelers is an epic love story and political thriller, chronicling the romance of two very different men who start a relationship just as Joseph McCarthy and Roy Cohn declare war on “subversives and sexual deviants.”

Hawkins Fuller, played by Matt Bomer, maintains a financially rewarding, behind-the scenes career in politics. Hawkins avoids emotional entanglements – until he meets Tim Laughlin, played by Jonathan Bailey, a young man brimming with idealism and religious faith. Over the course of four decades, follow five main characters as they cross paths through the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-fuelled disco hedonism of the 1970s and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, while facing obstacles in the world and in themselves.
