Nickelodeon International will premiere My Weird School, an all-new feature-length movie based on the book series by New York Times best-selling author Dan Gutman, across its Nickelodeon Global Unlimited pan-regional feed on Saturday 31st September 2026 at 12:00pm CET, with a same day replay at 19:00 CET!
Nickelodeon International's Nickelodeon Global Unlimited pan-regional feed, currently available in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal. Whilst its own feed, My Weird School is also expected to premiere on Nickelodeon Latin America the same day.
Produced by Nickelodeon Studios, the movie will follow middle school student A.J. as he finds himself joining forces with faculty and friends to save the world from an alien invasion. Production on My Weird School commenced in Vancouver, Canada in October 2024.
“We are so excited to bring this beloved book series to life with a dream cast of actors and influencers we know our audience will love, and a creative team lead by Jonathan Judge who will elevate the movie in a hilarious way for Nickelodeon’s kids and family audience,” said Shauna Phelan, who served as EVP, Live Action Series and Film, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness when the movie was first announced in October 2024.
In the movie, A.J. hates middle school but is willing to give it a chance to prove him wrong. Upon arriving for the first day, he is convinced this year will be just like any other, until he meets his really weird teachers and soon finds himself saving the world from an alien invasion.
The movie's official logline reads: "AJ hates school. So when his school is threatened by aliens it's shocking to everyone when he and his best friends team up with the most unlikely of allies...their teachers."

My Weird School made its world debut on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Tuesday, December 30. The film was originally scheduled to premiere on Nick UK & Eire on Wednesday 31st December 2025, however, got postponed. The movie is also set to air on Nickelodeon channels around the world. Premiere details will be announced at a later date.
With more than 100 titles and 35 million copies sold, Dan Gutman’s My Weird School book series, published by HarperCollins, follows the day-to-day life of wisecracking A.J., his loyal pals Ryan and Michael, and his archenemy, smarty-pants Andrea, as they face a set of wacky teachers at Ella Mentry School—the weirdest school ever.
My Weird School is directed by Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House) and is produced by Judge, Bobby Bowman, and Ron French. Production of the movie is overseen by Shauna Phelan, formally EVP, Live Action Series and Film, Nickelodeon & Awesomeness, along with Executives Brin Lukens and Brittany Cope.
