The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon has received a slew of nominations in the 2024 MUAHS Guild Awards!
The
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards received two nominations in the "Television Special, One Hour or More Live Program Series" category, for "Best Contemporary Make-up" (Thad Nalitz, Alison Gladieux, Christina Jimenez, Kathy Santiago) and "Best Contemporary Hair Styling" (Jerilynn Stephens, Kimi Messina, Joe Matke, Suzette Boozer).
Elsewhere,
Danger Force has received two nominations in the "Children and Teen Television Programming" category: for "Best Make-up" (Michael Johnston, Brad Look, Kevin Westmore, Orlando Marin) and "Best Hair Styling" (Joe Matke, Danyell Weinberg Alexis Stafford).
Meanwhile,
Monster High 2 has also received two nominations in the "Children and Teen Television Programming" category, going head-to-head with
Danger Force for "Best Make-up" (Leah Ehman, Gila Bois, Kiara Desjarlais, Lindsay Pilkey) and "Best Hair Styling" (Debra Frances Wiebe, Tammy Lim, Julie McHaffie, Sharon Markell).
Finally, the final season of Paramount+'s Star Trek: Picard has been nominated for the "Best Special Make-up Effects" award in the "Television Series -Limited, Miniseries or Movie for Television" category.
The winners of the 2024 MUAHS Guild Awards, presented by Ardell, will be announced on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The nominees were unveiled by Julie Socash, Local 706 President.
