This week marks the finale of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy season one. With teaser photos now available, it seems Paramount+ is teasing a huge confrontation to bring the first season to a close. Do we trust Tatiana Maslany’s Anisha? Or could she secretly be working with Nus (Paul Giamatti)? We’ll find out with the latest episode streams globally this Thursday on Paramount+.
This week’s finale, “Rubincon”, is written by Alex Kurtzman & Kirsten Beyer from a story by Noga Landau & Gaia Violo. The episode was directed by Trek veteran Olatunde Osunsanmi. Here’s a look at the episode's synopsis:
When an old enemy resurfaces as an existential threat to the Federation, Nahla must outwit a vengeful foe with a personal vendetta against her — as our cadets and instructors undertake a dangerous, seemingly impossible, mission to save everyone and everything they hold dear.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy stars Holly Hunter as the Chancellor of Starfleet Academy, the Starfleet cadets played by Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins and Bella Shepard, plus Zoë Steiner, Tig Notaro, Robert Picardo, and guest stars Oded Fehr, Mary Wiseman, as well as recurring guest stars Gina Yashere and Paul Giamatti.
Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau serve as co-showrunners and executive produce the series alongside executive producers Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa and John Weber. The series’ premiere episode is written by Gaia Violo and directed by Alex Kurtzman. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. The series has been greenlit for season two.
