As previously reported by NickALive!, Rugrats (2021) season three made its world debut on Nickelodeon's international channels on Monday, June 1. As part of the new season, the series, a CG-animated reimagining of Nickelodeon's iconic '90s Rugrats animated series, introduces viewers to a new set of opening titles, which you can check out below!
Rugrats (2021) Season 3 kicked off its start yesterday with a new intro sequence that resembles a lot like the new intro sequence the original series intro changed to in Seasons 7-9!

The new Rugrats (2021) intro sequence closely resembles the second set of opening titles used in seasons 7-9 of the original Rugrats series.
The new intro features Dil and Kimi, and Darsh and Nyra Mehta, who joined the cast at the very end of season two in the season finale episode "Chuckie Come Home" by moving into what used to be the Finster’s old home next to the Pickles’.
As teased, the new season has introduced Phil and Lil's biological father, Howard DeVille, who, whilst was married to Betty in the original series, was the person who made a deposit, so to say, as a way to put himself through bakery school, with the twins being brought up by their moms, Betty and her girlfriend, Trish.
In the reboot, Howard is a college friend of Betty DeVille and Didi Pickles. At some point, he helped out Betty by being a donor and allowing Betty to have her children. According to Betty, he works as an entomologist, and notes that the twins get all of his likes and traits (such as liking bugs, sour foods, and making funny faces) from him. In "Desert Trip" he visits Betty's Beans where he drops off a treat for the kids which are none other than Lemon filled donuts.
Produced by Nickelodeon Animation and originally debuted as a Paramount+ Original, Rugrats (2021) is a CG-animated reboot of Nickelodeon's much-loved '90s animated series, Rugrats. Much like the original series, Rugrats (2021) followed the adventures of Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Susie, Phil and Lil as they take on the world with their pint-sized perspectives and a diapie full of snacks.
The news follows Nickelodeon International premiering season two of Rugrats (2021), including never-before-aired episodes, in March. Unfortunately, Rugrats (2021) was canceled mid-way through its season two run in the U.S. eventually being removed from Nickelodeon and Paramount+ altogether.
Season three of Rugrats (2021) also sees the babies travel to Area 54, and Chas and Kira getting married!
