NICK NEWS BRIEF: Nickelodeon Benelux (BLX) premiered Nickelodeon’s new original animated series It’s Pony on Monday 17th August 2020! Following launch, fans can catch new episodes of It’s Pony, locally titled Hier is Pony, weekdays at 17:00 uur (approximately) on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) and Nickelodeon Flanders (Vlaanderen). A premiere date for Nickelodeon Wallonia (Wallonie) has yet to be announced.

Additionally, Nickelodeon Benelux will start to premiere the final episodes of Niko and the Sword of Light from Monday 24th August 2020 at 06:55 uur on Nickelodeon Nederland (locally titled Niko en het Lichtzwaard) and at 07:20 on Nickelodeon Vlaanderen. Fans can watch full-length episodes on nickelodeon.nl.
Nickelodeon Benelux has acquired the rights to Niko and the Sword of Light, and will premiere the Amazon Studio's popular original animated series on Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nederland) on Sunday 20th October 2019 at 17:55 uur and on Nickelodeon Flanders at 17:45 uur! The series will launch with double episodes. Although currently unconfirmed, it is thought that the series will also launch on Nickelodeon Wallonia around the same time.
Niko and the Sword of Light follows 10-year-old Niko, the last of his kind in a strange, fantastical world, as he embarks on an epic quest to defeat the darkness and bring the light back to his land. Armed with his magic sword, brave Niko journeys to the Cursed Volcano, making new friends and powerful foes along the way, all while uncovering secrets about his mysterious past.
The series is based on the motion graphic comic by Imaginism Studios — which delivered character and concept designs for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and Men in Black 3 — and Studio NX (The Carrot and Rabbit Show, Tree Fu Tom). Animation is provided by Titmouse, Inc. (TMNT Summer Shorts, Breadwinners, Metalocalypse, Turbo FAST). Robe Hoegee (Generator Rex, Teen Titans) serves as executive producer and showrunner.
Niko and the Sword of Light originally premiered on Amazon Video, and ran for 23 episodes (plus one pilot episode) over two seasons between July 20, 2017 - September 6, 2019.
