An alleged Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 leak showing El Tigre as one of the newcomers in the long-rumoured sequel has promoted a response from both the show's creator and one of the lead developers of the first game, all but confirming the sequel's existence.

Released in October 2021, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a platform fighter game featuring well-loved characters, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Garfield. Many players have been requesting other characters, such as Squidward and Jimmy Neutron, to be included in future DLCs, but the game has not been updated for a few months.

Well, good news - there's even more evidence that a sequel is on the way. Earlier this year, leaked screenshots showed a new move for Patrick, a new model for Danny Phantom that seems to use 2D facial expressions, and suggested that Squidward would be joining the roster. Then, last month, a leaked image claimed to show the game's box art, which also confirmed that Vlad Plasmius, Jimmy Neutron, and TMNT's Raphael would become playable.

All of that was reasonable evidence for a sequel, but the latest leak has all but confirmed it. Over on the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl subreddit, Redditor Own_Philosopher_2008 shared an image showing El Tigre fighting Garfield in what appears to be a test map, along with the caption, "The cats in the roof at 3 AM".

Not only does El Tigre's model look legitimate, but it also lines up with the previous leaks we've had of Danny, Squidward, and Patrick, as they all took place on the same map. If that wasn't enough for you to start considering that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is happening, then the responses from El Tigre's creator and a key developer on the first game might do it.

After the leak was posted on Reddit, El Tigre's creator Jorge R. Gutierrez shared an image of the leak on his Twitter, saying "Guess who’s back?". Gutierrez later clarified that "*i don’t work for Nickelodeon so I have nothing to do with this video game but I’m thrilled to see El Tigre back !!!," but confirming that Alanna Ubach would be returning to voice the titular hero.

Gutierrez also posted on his official Instagram saying, "Here comes a new challenger!". Gutierrez also shared the same leak on Twitter saying, "Guess who's back!". This isn't the first time that Gutierrez has mentioned it either, as he suggested that several El Tigre characters would be joining a "certain fighting Nick game" in an Instagram Q&A last week.

To make things even more concrete, Thaddeus Crews, one of the lead developers involved with the first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, shared the "this is fine" meme on Twitter after the leak. In a later tweet, he said, "Nevermind this is awesome I get to f+ck with people again", seemingly confirming the sequel once and for all. We'll just have to wait for the official announcement now, which doesn't seem that far off now that we all know about the game.

About El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera:

Co-created by husband-and-wife team Jorge R. Gutierrez (The Book of Life) and Sandra Equihua (Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!) and based on Jorge's experiences growing up in Mexico City, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, described as a folk art-inspired animated comedy with a spaghetti western twist follows 13-year-old Manny (voiced by Alanna Ubach, Welcome to the Wayne) who must choose whether to use his superpowers as El Tigre for good or evil.

Manny is a well-meaning kid who lives with his father and grandfather in Miracle City, an urban melting pot full of colorful heroes and nefarious villains. A spin of his mystical belt buckle transforms him into the brave and powerful masked warrior, El Tigre. As El Tigre, he has to choose whether to become a great superhero, like his father, Rodolpho and his alter ego White Pantera (voiced by Eric Bauza, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Loud House, The Casagrandes) or a feared super-villain like his grandfather, Granpapi and his alter ego Puma Loco (voiced by Carlos Alazraqui, Rocko's Modern Life). Manny struggles with the daily choice of which super-power he will master because being good is good... but being bad is fun.

El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera premiered on Nickelodeon on March 3, 2007 and ran for 26 episodes until September 13, 2008, winning two Emmy Awards along the way. The storylines draw from the popular Latino telenovelas with exaggerated comedic situations and outrageous recurring characters.

Season one of El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera is set to drop onto Paramount+ on July 26.
