Pro-Wrestler Johnny Gargano Discusses His Love of Nickelodeon, Reveals He Was Set to Get Slimed At Kids' Choice Awards 2020

Pro-wrestling superstar and current free agent Johnny Gargano spoke about his love of Nickelodeon during a recent edition of his Twitch stream, which included the former NXT triple-crown champion revealing that he and his wife, WWE superstar Candice LeRae, were originally supposed to appear and get slimed - Nickelodeon's highest honor - at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in 2020! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Nickelodeon had to postpone the event, moving it from the planned big stadium event hosted by Chance the Rapper in March to a virtually-produced filmed-at-home event hosted by Nick alum Victoria Justice (Victorious, Zoey 101, Fun Size) in May.

During his Twitch stream, the pro-wrestler revealed:

“Little known fact. I will break some other news for you here. So before the pandemic, me and Candice, we were actually scheduled — this is going to be one of the biggest missed opportunities of my life. Me and Candice, we were actually scheduled to go to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and get slimed. Like that was a real thing that was gonna happen," adding: "Yeah, it sucks, man. I know. Right before the pandemic, like literally, it was all set. We had our travel booked and everything. We’re gonna go to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and be on the [orange] carpet, do all the good stuff, and get slimed. Then, the pandemic happened and the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards didn’t happen. So yeah, that would have been — the Bucket List item is still there for me.”

Johnny, a rational person, has decided that it is all Chuck Taylors’ fault because he blames Chuck Taylor for everything. “I blame Chuck Taylor, too. I blame him for everything,” Johnny concluded.

The former WWE star also revealed that two of his favorite Nickelodeon shows are Henry Danger and its spin-off, Danger Force:

“I don’t know if it’s weird, but I think I love Henry Danger and Danger Force. I don’t know, is it if it’s weird to say as a 34-year-old man, but if there are other people that are like my age, can you affirm or confirm what I’m saying here? Henry Danger or The Thundermans — Henry Danger is good, man. That’s a good show. If you haven’t seen it yet, that’s a good show. I feel like it’s for adults, too. So I don’t know. It’s good. Danger Force, also good. There’s that. I just want to get that out in the world, stuff I’m watching or doing lately. I mean, I’d love to go to Nickelodeon.”

'The Astronauts', 'Kid of the Year', 'KCA 2020' and 'All That' Receive Nominations in Broadcast Portion of 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced that Nickelodeon has received 5 nominations in the broadcast portion of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Nickelodeon's and TIME’s Kid of the Year special, which premiered in December 2020, has been nominated in the "Outstanding Daytime Non-Fiction Special" category of the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Meanwhile, in the "Outstanding Daytime Promotional Announcement", Nickelodeon has received three nominations, for the network's launch promos for new series The Astronauts, Kid of the Year 2020, and the 2020 Kids' Choice Awards.

Finally, All That has received an nomination in the "Outstanding Makeup" category of this year's awards.

The Daytime Emmy® Awards recognize outstanding achievement in daytime television programming. The awards are presented to individuals and programs broadcast between 2:00 am and 6:00 pm in the U.S., as well as certain categories of digital and syndicated programming of similar content. This year's awards will honor content from more than 3,000 submissions that originally premiered in calendar-year 2020.

The submissions were judged by a pool of more than 1,000 peer professionals from across the television industry whose confidential ballots were then tabulated by the independent accounting firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP.

The winners of Daytime Emmy Awards 2021 will be announced on Friday, June 25 (8:00-10:00PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount+.

Nominees for both the Daytime Children’s Programming & Animation Emmy Awards and the Daytime Lifestyle Programming Emmy Awards will be announced on Monday, June 28. The Daytime Children’s Programming and Animation Emmy Awards will be presented in a stand-alone show streaming on NATAS’ Emmy OTT platform on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET. The Daytime Lifestyle Programming Emmy Awards will be presented on that same Emmy OTT platform on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET.

The Daytime Emmy® Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in daytime television programming since 1974.

The June 25th telecast will mark the 15th time CBS has broadcast the Daytime Emmys®, more than any other network. The telecast will be produced by the National Academy and Associated Television International (ATI), which previously produced Daytime Emmy® ceremonies on The CW in 2009 and on CBS in 2010, 2011, and 2020.  David McKenzie will produce and direct for ATI and Adam Sharp and Steve Ulrich of NATAS will be Executive Producers of the show.

2021 is a year of new, a year of hope and a year of creating new benchmarks. Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India, India’s only awards that empowers kids and celebrates their choices has set the tone for this new year with the announcement of kids favorites across film, television, sports and digital. This year KCA 2020 set out to present the show in a whole new format, focused on taking it virtual. The nominees were selected through a special online research to determine who entertained children the most during the lockdown. For the first time ever in the awards’ history, the winners were chosen by the kids through an unprecedented 15+ lakh (million) votes garnered across categories. Kids' Choice Awards is a one-of-a-kind extravaganza and over the years the fanfare for the awards has grown tremendously with more and more categories being added and everyone looking forward to winning the coveted blimp. This year saw an all new, enhanced and relevant list of categories with addition of 6 new awards  for  kids favorite online learning apps, youtubers, Instagram personalities, food enjoyed during the lockdown, amongst others, each a true reflection of the times we live in.

Voting for Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India opened on Monday 4th January 2021, with viewers invited to vote for their favorites exclusively at voot.com and via the Voot App.

Celebrating their choices for a year that required resilience and optimism, kids have chosen those that brought a smile to their face and upped their spirits during the lockdown. The phenomenal response received by the awards this year as we slowly come out of a pandemic makes this award even more special.

The awards saw the best mobile game title go to The Subway Surfers while the Favorite You Tuber title went to Ashish Chanchlani.  Anantya Anand was titled as Favorite Kid Influencer while Favorite Food Item during the lockdown was Pizza. Well no guesses for that! 

On the sporting arena P.V Sindhu won the awards for the Favorite Sportsman (non-cricket) of the Year and MS Dhoni continued to inspire kids and emerged as Favorite Sportsperson (Cricket).

The awards saw Chhichhore bag honors in the categories of Favorite Bollywood Movie. Favorite Movie Actor (Female) went to Shraddha Kapoor for keeping kids entertained in movies like ABCD 3 & Chichore while Varun Dhawan won the Favorite Movie Actor for helping keep spirits of kids high through the year.  Badshah on the title of Best Rapper / Rap music stars for keeping kids on tapping their feet. In television content, Surbhi Chandna was crowned Favorite TV Actor (Female) for Naagin while it was a hat-trick for Dilip Joshi as Favorite TV Actor (Male). Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah has entertained the kids all these years and emerged as the winner for the 6th time in a row.

Nickelodeon India Announces Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India

Nickelodeon India has announced Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India!

Following in the footsteps of the U.S./global edition of Kids' Choice Awards as well as the localised KCAs in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India will take place virtually. However, this year's ceremony will be bigger than ever before!

This year with Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards the promise is to present the show in a whole new format, new style, focused on taking it virtually and getting kids to not only vote but also get closer to their stars in a never seen before avatar.

For Kids' Choice Awards 2020 India, Nickelodeon is adding six brand new categories, giving kids across India the chance to vote and honour their favourite content and stars that kept them entertained through the lockdown, empowering kids to decide who takes home the coveted Nickelodeon Blimp.

Over the years, Kids’ Choice Awards have featured a glittering host of celebrities gracing the orange carpet and with our iconic Nicktoons. With mind-blowing performances by renowned celebrities like Sara Ali Khan, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and more, as well as raking in more than five lakh votes, kids had a gala time at the legendary award show. This year’s edition will witness nominees that have come through a special online research to determine who entertained children the most during the lockdown.

Kids will get a chance to vote for a whole lot of nominees across several new categories such as favourite online learning apps, YouTubers, Instagram personalities, sportspersons, and food enjoyed during the lockdown, amongst others. The voting starts on 4 January 2021 exclusively at voot.com and via the Voot App. The date of the gala is yet to be officially announced.

Nominees in the "Best Movie Actor (Female)" category are Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani and Shraddha Kapoor.

In the "Best Movie Actor (Male)" category, Salman Khan is pitted against Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh and Tiger Shroff.

Blockbusters Baahubali 2, Baaghi 3, Street Dancer 3, War and Golmaal Again are competing in the "Best Bollywood Movie" category.

In the "Best Bollywood Movie Song" category, the nominees are: "Coca Cola", "Bala", "Care ni karda", "Aankh maare", and "Apna time aayega".

Honey Singh, Badshah, Raftaar, Guru Randhawa and Divine are pitted against each other in the "Favourite Rapper/Rap Music Star" category.

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is nominated in the "Favourite Dancer" category alongside Prabhu Deva, Tiger Shroff, Allu Arjun, and Varun Dhawan.

The "Favourite TV Actor (Male)" category will see contest between Kapil Sharma, Dilip Joshi, Mukesh Khanna, Shivaji Satam and Arun Govil.

Hina Khan, Disha Vakani, Surbhi Chandana, Shivangi Joshi and Shehnaaz Gill are nominated in the "Favorite TV Actor (Female)" category.

There is also a "Favourite TV Show" category, in which Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma, Kaun Banega Crorepati, The Kapil Sharma Show, India's Best Dancer and Mahabharat have each been nominated for a blimp award.

In the "Favourite Show on Kids Channel" category, Nickelodeon favourite Motu Patlu goes head-to-head with Chhota Bheem, Little Singham, Sab Jholmaal Hai, and Bandbudh aur Budbak.

Meanwhile, Bheem, Motu, Shiva, Patlu and Rudra are all battling out to be named ""Favourite Indian Toon Character".

On the decision to go virtual this year, Nina Elavia Jaipuria – Hindi Mass Entertainment & Kids TV Network at Viacom18, said, “In these challenging times our commitment is to ensure that our young viewers remain entertained and positive. Keeping this in mind we at Nickelodeon are going to celebrate all that is new with Kids’ Choice Awards 2020.”

“In the virtual format, with the introduction of new categories, we aim to encourage and empower kids to cast their vote and choose their favourites who kept them going through the lockdown. Nickelodeon will also support Teach for India to help provide smart devices to children to enable online education,” Jaipuria  added.

The uniquely curated awards will support a cause that has emerged during the pandemic while emphasizing the need to celebrate the new normal. Due to the ongoing social distancing, the shift to e-learning, India’s education system is going through a reform. The prolonged closure of schools to maintain social distancing has caused educational inequality, especially due to limited access to internet and technology. To bridge the digital education divide and enable a smooth transition for all stratas of society, Nickelodeon has partnered with Teach for India, for the latter’s existing program “Sponsor A Device”. The partnership will kickstart during the voting process of the Kids' Choice Awards 2020 where Nickelodeon will donate one rupee for every vote garnered. Teach for India is a non-profit organization that works towards educational equity at all levels of the education system. Under the existing program, the community aims to enable the new form of learning by raising funds for putting a gadget in the hands of every student who needs one. 

Teach For India communications and marketing director added on the initiative, “We are delighted to partner with Nickelodeon for their most prestigious awards show. Their support to our #DontStopLearning campaign is important and we are deeply grateful to their commitment to sponsor a device to ensure our students continue learning. We are confident that this partnership will play a significant role in bridging the digital divide.”

Pivoting the media mix to the new normal, the marketing campaign is being promoted through a robust digital and social media plan, interesting on-line interactivity, support across the Nickelodeon franchise and social media challenges along with a push from the entire network. There are various innovations lined up on the digital front, including tons of quirky communication on YouTube. There will be a #KCAsquad with influencers giving the audiences all the latest updates on #KCAIndia2020. Further adding to the slime-tastic experience will be slime inspired digital games, contests, AR filters, virtual face-offs and series of engaging and interesting on-line interactivity that will create fun experiences for kids. Ganadores de los Kids’ Choice Awards México 2020

Danna Paola, Morat, Sebastián Yatra, Joaquín Bondoni y Los Rulés son algunos de los ganadores de los Kids’ Choice Awards México 2020.

Los Kids’ Choice Awards México 2020 (#KCAMexico2020), celebraron una edición más de la fiesta más pegajosa de todas. Este año la premiación fue conducida por la súper pareja Evaluna y Camilo, quienes se encargaron de animar el show en todo momento.

Ganadores de los Kids’ Choice Awards México 2020

Los Kids´Choice Awards México 2020 alcanzaron más de 243 millones de votos para las 22 categorías de música, televisión, cine y el mundo digital (entre otras). Además, contaron con las actuaciones musicales de grandes artistas como Sebastián Yatra, quien prendió el escenario de los KCA interpretando su más reciente sencillo «Chica Ideal» junto a Guaynaa, seguido del debut musical de Mati Gómez en esta premiación, interpretando «Como Nunca» junto a la estrella de Nickelodeon Bala, quien también presentó «Pijama» con un performance súper divertido. La fiesta continuó con Danna Paola interpretando su exitoso tema «Mala Fama» seguido de «No Bailes Sola» de la mano de Sebastián Yatra.

El exitoso cantautor colombiano, Camilo y la estrella de Club 57, Evaluna,  ganadores del blimp naranja por “Ship del Año”, no solo fueron los hosts de la ceremonia, también cerraron la noche enamorando a toda la audiencia con una presentación exclusiva para los KCA de «Uno Más Uno» y un medley de «Vida de Rico» y «Favorito».

Joaquín Bondoni, Los Rulés, Morat, Kenia Os, Isabela Souza y Yolo Aventuras también son algunos de los ganadores de los Kids´Choice Awards México 2020.

Nickelodeon Latin America Announces 'Kids' Choice Awards México 2020' Finalists

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the finalists of Kids' Choice Awards México 2020!

Kids' Choice Awards is the world's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more.

Not much is currently known about Kids' Choice Awards México 2020, the 11th annual local edition of Nick's Kids' Choice Awards slimefest tentpole, however, due to the on-going COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, it's expected that KCA México 2020 will look a little different than previous years by foregoing its annual on-the-ground event, and instead be hosted from a studio or an "at home" setting, following in the footsteps of Nickelodeon Germany (Deutschland), Switzerland (Schweiz) and Austria (Österreich), and Nickelodeon USA, who held their editions of Kids' Choice Awards in a virtual setting, as well as Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil), who is hosting Meus Prêmios Nick 2020 in a studio setting. If this is the case, fans can still expect lots of stars, orange blimps and, of course, slime!


NICKELODEON KIDS´CHOICE AWARDS MÉXICO 2020: PRENOMINADOS

SOCIAL SQUAD KCA MÉXICO 2020

Over the past month, NickHeads in Mexico have cast votes for their favourites to become finalists in each category, with the top four (out of eight) most voted for nominees in each of the voting categories going onto the final stage of voting.

Fans across México are now able to vote for their favourites from the worlds of entertainment and social media across 22 voting categories online at https://www.kcamexico.com and on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtags below. Fans can vote as many times as they wish to support their favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more!

To vote on Twitter:

Each voting message must feature both the unique hashtag and #KCAMEXICO in it for the vote to be counted:

Nickelodeon Latinoamérica se ha unido a cuatro increíbles talentos para crear el Social Squad de los Kids´Choice Awards México 2020, el cual llevará a los fanáticos a disfrutar la fiesta para niños más grande del año.

GUADALAJARA, Jal., 13 de octubre de 2020. El canal de televisión Nickelodeon Latinoamérica anuncia a la súper pareja conformada por Evaluna Montaner y Camilo, como los hosts oficiales de la onceava entrega de los Kids´ Choice Awards México 2020.

La fiesta más pegajosa del año será transmitida en exclusiva a través de Nickelodeon Latinoamérica el martes 3 de noviembre a las 20:00 horas y los hosts están listos para hacer de ella una experiencia inolvidable.

El cantante Sebastián Yatra se reconectó con su familia durante cinco meses de confinamiento por la pandemia del COVID-19; se presentará en los Kid's Choice Award el próximo 3 de noviembre.

COLOMBIA.- El cantante colombiano Sebastián Yatra, informó que debido a la pandemia del COVID-19 se reinventó y reconectó con su familia tras pasar cinco meses en confinamiento.

Yatra aseguró que durante todo el tiempo en su hogar en la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia, estuvo haciendo música y en ocasiones se sentía estancado, sin embargo logró reconectarse con su familia.

Tambien dijo que el contacto que tenía con sus seguidores era a través de la cámara de su celular estando en su hogar. Además comentó que se preguntaba qué ofrecerle a sus fans y sentía que no tenía nada que valiera la pena.

Sebastián Yatra se presentará el próximo 3 de noviembre en la onceava edición de los Kid's Choice Award que se transmitirá por Nickelodeon Latinoamérica al filo de las 19:30 horas.
