Big Time Rush Reunion: James Maslow and Kendall Schmidt Hug it Out at iHeartRadio Music Festival 2018

This is going to make Big Time Rush fans so happy. James Maslow and Kendall Schmidt had a mini BTR reunion on the iHeartRadio Daytime Stage and it was everything. James surprised fans by coming out on stage to introduce Kendall's band Heffron Drive, which he formed with Dustin Belt in 2008. Heffron Drive won the 2018 Macy's Rising Star competition, getting the chance to come out to Las Vegas, Nevada to perform at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival. Not only was it fitting to have Kendall's former band mate introduce him because of their history together, but because James was Macy's Rising Star in 2017. Could this moment be more perfect?

After James introduced Heffron Drive, Kendall ran out on stage with his arms open wide to hug his friend. It was such a sweet moment, that iHeartRadio just had to turn it into a gif so we can watch it over and over again. After four albums and 74 episodes of their hit Nickelodeon show, Big Time Rush calling it quits. Unfortunately for their Rushers, that means the show isn't the only thing coming to an end -- their band is, too.


Big Time Rush announced their split back in 2013 after four albums and four seasons of their hit show-also called Big Time Rush-together. "Look, it’s one of the biggest hits-between the music and the show-that Nickelodeon's ever had. We’re proud of it and they’re proud of it, and I think it’s difficult for them to let it go," James told The Huffington Post at the time. Kendall chimed in saying, "It’s sort of like a thin line to walk on, because we have a lot of fans who love Big Time Rush and we don’t want to ever disappoint them. We want them to be fans of individuals whenever we go and do our own things-which I think they are anyway."

It's so great to see James and Kendall supporting each other all these years later. Now the next order of business is getting Carlos PenaVega and Logan Henderson at the next reunion.

Daredevil science presenter Greg Foot and children’s television presenter Anna Williamson will host an imaginative new family festival.

Bounce Festival promises a weekend of summer holiday activities, entertainment and fun for families and children aged up to 12.

Williamson, who is known for her work with Nickelodeon, CITV, This Morning and Daybreak, will host the main stage and five activity zones including everything from science experiments to street dance.

Famed for his extreme science shows full of experiments and explosions, Foot will present two interactive shows, Kaboom and Everest Lab, in his very own daredevil science zone.

Musical performers will play throughout the weekend, including the boys from Da Bluez, a street dance crew from Olivier award-winning Blue Boy Entertainment, Beatboxers the Vocal Orchestra and extreme juggling duo Rosie and Chaz.

Music for most every taste

Sheryl Crow, Adam Lambert, Duran Duran and Tears for Fears among performers at this year's O.C. Fair.

Young the Giant is just one of the acts billed for the Pacific Amphitheatre's Summer Concert Series' at the 2012 Orange County Fair.

The lineup offers genres of popular music that should resonate with different generations, ranging from reggae to country and rock.

On Wednesday and Thursday nights, two "American Idol" alumni will perform separate shows. First, Season 10 "American Idol" Scotty McCreery will play songs off his debut album, "Clear As Day." Attwater, a Sacramento-based country band will open the show.

Then on Thursday, Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert will celebrate the release of his new album "Trespassing."

On Saturday, Costa Mesa native Madasen McGrath, 15, will play an opening set of her original pop-rock music in support of Cody Simpson's USA tour. In 2008, Australian singer/songwriter Simpson — a Justin Beiber, Jesse McCartney type — gained worldwide attention by posting videos of himself performing original songs and covers on YouTube.

Teen-targeted entertainment will continue on Aug. 2 with singer-songwriter and actress Victoria Justice — star of the Nickelodeon show "Victorious" [and "Zoey 101"]. Max Schneider [Nickelodeon's "How To Rock", "Rags"] will open the evening.

On July 25, Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sheryl Crow will play her Top 40 hits. Best known for "Soak Up The Sun," "All I Wanna Do," "Leaving Las Vegas," and her latest Top 10 release "100 Miles To Memphis," her music incorporates elements of rock, folk, hip hop, country, and pop.

Country music lovers will be treated to country singer Martina McBride on Aug. 10. Since debuting in 1992, McBride has released a series of Top 40 albums including "Evolution," "Martina," 2007's "Waking Up Laughing," and her latest release "Eleven."

A succession of rock acts, ranging from classic rock to glam-metal and reggae, will make up most of the season's shows on the Pacific Amphitheatre stage.

On Friday night, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner of Canadian rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive will reunite for the first time in more than 20 years. Under a new name, Bachman & Turner, the group will perform live with Foghat. The band's hit songs include "Let It Ride," "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," "Takin' Care of Business."

On July 27, Grammy Award winning reggae superstars, Steel Pulse, will return to the Pacific Amphitheatre, accompanied by Orange County's The Dirty Heads.

On July 29, classic rock band Three Dog Night will take the stage. The group had three No. 1 songs in the U.S.: "Mama Told Me Not to Come" "Joy to the World" and "Black and White." Canadian Rock band The Guess Who will open.

Heart will perform on Aug. 9. Fronted by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, Heart has been a mainstay of rock radio for almost 30 years with such Top 40 hits as "Crazy On You," "Barracuda," "Magic Man," "These Dreams," and 2010's Top 10 hit "Red Velvet Car."

Concert-goers can also get their '80s fix with English rock band Tears For Fears on Aug. 1. and Duran Duran on Aug. 11.

From its roots as a new wave synthesizer band in the early 1980s, Tears For Fears later branched out into the mainstream pop and rock genres. The group's greatest hits include "Shout," "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Woman in Chains."

Meanwhile, Birmingham-based Duran Duran sprung onto the music scene in 1981 combining guitar-based new wave with synth pop. Hits songs in the U.K .and U.S. include "Hungry Like The Wolf," "A View To a Kill" and "Rio."
