Paramount And Twitter’s Global Deal Launches In Australia

Paramount And Twitter’s Global Deal Launches In Australia.

Commercial Amplification Partnership Features Content Commitment Boasting A Portfolio Of Brands Across Events, Entertainment, News And Sport.

Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and Twitter today announced a local extension of their multi-year global agreement to deliver premium digital content around Paramount ANZ’s biggest live events, hit shows and iconic franchises from the company’s Australian portfolio of brands, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV and Nickelodeon.

Tentpole programs and key sporting events will be eligible for Twitter marketing support and brand sponsorship sales rights via Twitter’s Amplify program, which marries Paramount’s premium video with Twitter’s paid reach and targeting.

Paramount ANZ will also tap into a broad range of Twitter marketing features from live video and real-time highlights to Twitter Moments.

Paramount ANZ’s partnership with Twitter allows customers to join the conversation and engage directly with Paramount ANZ’s young fans when they are discussing key cultural moments including live events, entertainment, news and sport.

Rod Prosser, Chief Sales Officer, Paramount ANZ, said: “We are excited to be extending Paramount and Twitter’s global deal with our premium Australian content and fan base. The full scale of our Australian brands, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV, and Nickelodeon, together with Twitter, magnifies the scope of our valued partnership.

“We are now able to give our Australian customers access to innovative digital content experiences and culture-defining moments across the best of Paramount ANZ’s live events, entertainment, news and sport. Our premium content draws unparalleled engagement and talkability, consistently trending on Twitter and demonstrating that fandom and engagement is amplified across platforms.”

Angus Keene, Managing Director of Twitter, Australia & New Zealand, shared: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Paramount Australia and New Zealand. For binge watchers, sport fans and reality TV enthusiasts, Twitter is the second screen for TV conversations. Just in the last year, we have seen an increase of 127% in Tweet conversations around the A-League.

“People turn to Twitter to supplement their TV viewing experience, whether it’s getting pumped for the next soccer match or watching sneak peeks before the next episode airs. It all truly happens on Twitter.”

The partnership currently covers all global markets in which Twitter and Paramount operate.

###

In February, 10 ViacomCBS officially changed its corporate name to Paramount ANZ. Paramount Australia & New Zealand then made some key sales leadership appointments. Under the new changes, all advertising revenue including Network 10, 10 Play and Paramount+ will fall within the national sales All Screens team, led by Lisa Squillace, national sales director, and the state sales directors.

New data collated by Twitter this year has shown that Australians flock to Twitter everyday to discover and consume content on topics they’re passionate about spanning from sport, to TV & entertainment.

The survey also showed that Australians turn to Twitter to supplement their TV viewing experience, whether it’s getting pumped for the upcoming season or watching sneak peeks before the next episode airs. Globally, Twitter is the preferred social media platform when watching TV, with 44% of people using the leading platforms said their use of Twitter while watching TV has increased.

'The Loud House' Fan Recreates Show's Intro in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'

A fan of Nickelodeon's hit animated comedy series The Loud House has recreated the show's intro using the hit game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

The fan-made intro, produced by YouTube user Great-Bit Arcade, recreated the opening titles of The Loud House, with Lincoln and his 10 sisters - Lori, Leni, Luna, Lynn, Luan, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily - all represented. Thanks to their excellent editing skills mixed with the perfect pieces of furniture and other objects, the player was able to fully capture the essence of the Loud House and its well-known characters. Check out the video below!:

Here's the original (extended) The Loud House intro for comparison:

Great-Bit Arcade has also produced "Made with Animal Crossing" remakes of the intros of Phineas and Ferb, The Simpsons (as well as the iconic "Steamed Hams" scene), Gravity Falls, Total Drama Island, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Adventure Time, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Bojack Horseman, Family Guy and Steven Universe, all of this can be watched on Great-Bit Arcade's YouTube channel.

The Loud House isn't the only Nicktoon that has gotten the "Made with Animal Crossing" treatment. Earlier this year, a fan recreated the iconic opening titles of Avatar: The Last Airbender using the popular video game.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell Share Sweet Memories During 'Good Burger' Reunion

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell shared memories from working on the beloved Nickelodeon movie Good Burger during Drew Barrymore’s “Drew’s Movie Nite” special!

All together now: "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger. Can I take your order?"

Nickelodeon alums Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell found themselves reciting the iconic line as they reunited remotely in honor of Drew Barrymore's inaugural "Drew's Movie Nite" on Nickelodeon on Thursday, July 30.

For the premiere of Barrymore's series, the network aired the beloved 1997 Nickelodeon comedy, which brought the two actors' All That sketch characters to life on the big screen all those years ago.

In celebration of the special night, the comedians reflected on their hit sketch and starring in the movie—Mitchell's first ever, dishing on the making of the movie, their life years later, and their first forays into the world of acting.

Barrymore, who was a child star herself and began acting when she was 11 months old, asked the actors how they got their start, and both found a love for performing in community theater during elementary school.

"I was about 12 years old," Mitchell reflected. "I was a bit of a class clown and my parents were like, 'OK, we have to find something.' So they put me into community theater and I was like, 'This is it! This is what I was looking for!'"

Thompson -- who went on to forge a comedy TV career and is the longest-standing cast member on Saturday Night Live with 17 seasons under his belt -- had a similar start.

"I remember community theater being a turning point where I noticed that this was like, a real profession," Thompson recalled.

Talking about the movie, Mitchell recalled to Barrymore: "Good Burger started to gain a lot of steam. A lot of musical guests wanted to be in the Good Burger sketches. Kenan was very helpful for me, too, because this was my first movie."

At the time, Thompson already had several movie credits to his name, including two sequels of The Mighty Ducks and Heavyweights. Still, both men remember the moment they first saw themselves together on a giant-sized billboard for the film, which featured them surfing on a pickle and tomato. As they told Barrymore, the-then teenagers had been driving down Sunset Boulevard when they spotted themselves and pulled over to take pictures.

Looking back, Barrymore said that being an actress for most of her life has had its ups and downs, but it all contributed to the life she enjoys today.

"I have all sort of wonderful baggage that I would never let go of or have it any other way, because I wouldn't be exactly who I am at this moment in time without those experiences," Barrymore shared.

That being said, Barrymore admitted that she wants her daughters -- 7-year-old Olive and 6-year-old Frankie -- to get older before they give any thought to becoming actors.

"I would be the first person to help them, but not before 14 or 15," she added.

The talk show host also asked the men about the Kenan and Kel 2020 T-shirts that are available to buy and what a Kenan and Kel presidency would actually look like.

Mitchell joked, "There would be a lot of orange soda involved."

On a more serious note, Thompson added, "I would really want to just settle down all of the anxiety, but also all of the anger and misinformation."

And, as Mitchell sweetly summarized, "Make love mandatory."

While they're of course not actual candidates in the upcoming 2020 election, they may finally star in a sequel more than two decades later. As Thompson, who was just nominated for an Emmy for his performance on Saturday Night Live, told E!'s Scott Tweedie on HappE! Hour, "It's in the works."

"It's all in talks," the star elaborated. "So hopefully the numbers can match up to everybody's expectations and we can get it done, basically. But, yeah, there's talks being had is I guess all I can say about that."

For this installment of Drew's Movie Nite, the trio were also joined virtually by chef Alvin Cailan, who showed viewers how to make their very own Good Burger in their own kitchens.

Check out highlights from Drew Barrymore’s Good Burger Movie Night special below!:

Along with "Drew's Movie Nite", Barrymore announced a series of digital shows that will roll out ahead of the premiere of her hourlong talk show, including The Making of The Drew Barrymore Show, The Art of the Interview, and Drew's Cookbook Club. The digital content will drop on TheDrewBarrymoreShow.com. The Drew Barrymore Show will premiere Sept. 14.

Kenan Thompson Talks Emmy Nom & Gives Update on Good Burger Sequel With Kel Mitchell

Kenan Thompson appears to be in his prime!

The comedian recently launched a podcast, has a new series coming to NBC and, most notably, just scored his second Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on Saturday Night Live—the show he's called home for the last 17 years, making him the longest-running cast member ever.

When Kenan got the Emmys news on Tuesday, as he explained to E!'s Scott Tweedie during the Instagram Live series HappE! Hour, he "celebrated by just slowly spreading the word amongst family."

"And really just embracing the love from loved-ones basically—just a million text messages and stuff like that," Kenan, who has two children with wife Christina Evangeline, added. "I'm hanging out. There's not much partying to be had these days but it's all good."

Though this isn't Kenan's first Emmy nom, he's still "overly humbled," by the nod, even revealing he "wasn't expecting it at all."

"I think the category is really impressive," the actor said, referencing his fellow nominees: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's Tony Shalhoub; Barry's Henry Winkler, Anthony Carrigan and Stephen Root; Veep's Tony Hale; and The Kominsky Method's Alan Arkin.

"It's an acknowledgement by your peers," Kenan explained. "These are people that I admire and look up to. I mean, I'm in the same sentence with Alan Arkin—forget about it!"

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there's no telling what the Emmys ceremony is going to look like. Kenan predicts a set-up similar to that of the virtual HappE! Hour: "I'm going to make my own trophy out of aluminum foil and I'm just going to have it ready in case I win. And I'll make my speech with my handmade trophy."

Plus, he might even shed a few tears!

"I'm just overly moved by what's going on this year," Kenan told Scott. "It's been a rough year but also it's been very progressive in certain ways and if we can just keep that moving forward, then that's all I can really ask for."

However, as Kenan & Kel fans are dying to know, does "moving forward" include an eventual Good Burger sequel with Kel Mitchell?

"Yeah, it's in the works," Kenan excitedly admitted to Scott. "I mean, it's all in talks. So hopefully the numbers can match up to everybody's expectations and we can get it done. But yeah, there's talks being had, I guess, is all I can say about that."

We're definitely holding out hope!

Until that happens, though, Kenan has plenty to keep him busy. He debuted a podcast, You Already Know, with co-host Tani Marole in May, which he said hopes brings "a little joy" to listeners.

The at-home episodes of Saturday Night Live certainly did! Kenan described the beginning of working on the show remotely as "the weirdest."

"I haven't even done a lot of internet sketches for Instagram or anything on my own," the comedian noted. "I haven't done a lot of just recording myself doing stuff outside of professional environments. I'm just very new to that and it kind of catapulted me into that."

SNL's 45th season, which wrapped up in March, was particularly jam-packed with stars both pre- and post-coronavirus. Hosts included Kristen Stewart, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Lopez and Eddie Murphy, among others. Kenan described the latter's much-anticipated return to the main stage at Studio 8H as "incredible."

I think that was the overall story of the season because [Murphy] was the prodigal son. He was the one that's been away for the longest and the big superstar that hadn't been back yet," Kenan explained. "After [Adam] Sandler did it, that was a big feat...I was like man, Lorne Michaels never sleeps!

Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can Drew Barrymore take your order?

Earlier this week, Barrymore also shared the first promo for her upcoming CBS daytime talk series, which featured a conversation between the actress and her 7-year-old self — using footage from a 1982 interview the actress did on The Tonight Show after starring in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

"I've been waiting all my life to meet you," Barrymore, 7, says to her future self.

"It's been a wild ride — can you believe I have two daughters around your age?" the adult Drew asks, as little Drew scrunches her face and replies, "That's kinda scary."

Although The Drew Barrymore Show isn’t set to debut until September 14, in the meantime, a few other series will air online, including “The Art of the Interview,” where the actress gets advice from other famous hosts, as well as “Drew’s Cookbook Club” and “Drew’s Movie Nite.”

Keeping in tone with Barrymore's positive point of view, the star's talk show will be full of optimism and inspiration.

"She will elevate, inspire and entertain in every area and in every segment from human interest stories to happy news to lifestyle segments and celebrity guests," according to the press release.

Talented 'Danny Phantom' Fans Recreate Show's Intro in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'

Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans love recreating things. Whether they’re recreating Avatar: The Last Airbender's iconic intro, reimagining Pokemon’s Pallet Town, designing costumes for the entire Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, or reenacting iconic scenes from The Office, Animal Crossing fans are unmatched in their creativity. It helps that the game itself is so versatile, allowing plenty of room for fans to express themselves in all sorts of ways.

Now, a few of those talented and creative fans have turned to a beloved animated Nickelodeon series, Danny Phantom. Twitter users ecokitti and UltimaShadowX have faithfully recreated the entire intro, details, and all, in one of the most impressive Animal Crossing recreations yet. Check it out for yourself below!

As you can see in the video, the creators went above and beyond in recreating just about every aspect of the intro, from accurate costumes for all the characters to clever use of props like the ladder as a stand-in for DNA. Animal Crossing’s resident ghost Wisp gets plenty of focus as well, standing in for all the spectral baddies Danny squashes in the original.

The top-notch editing and preparation is also evident in the video – custom designs for walls, special effects, and matched framing for just about all the shots shows how much love and care for both properties went into this recreation.

The extra added touch where the original’s action scenes are replaced with scenes of bopping Wisp with a net are especially fun.

Animal Crossing’s perfectly timed release has led to a smorgasbord of fun and creative content coming from its fanbase since its launch back in March.

And with a new update that adds content like swimming, diving, and new crafting recipes on its way in just a few days, we’re sure to see more in no time.

The news follows Nickelodeon recently hosting a Animal Crossing x Nick fashion show on Twitch, in which characters from the hit video game wore apparel inspired by hit Nickelodeon series, including SpongeBob SquarePants and The Loud House.

'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Fan Recreates Show's Iconic Intro in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' - and It’s Perfect

Avatar: The Last Airbender, Nickelodeon's beloved animated series inspired by anime from the 2000s which follows characters that can harness different elements of the world - Water. Earth. Fire. Air - might seem that it would be difficult to recreate, but think again.

A die-hard Avatar and Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan has faithfully recreated the intro cinematic sequence of the air-bending television series!

They had little to work with but thanks to their excellent editing skills mixed with the perfect pieces of furniture and other objects, the player was able to fully capture the essence of Avatar and its well-known characters.

You can watch iloveketchup’s video down below that they uploaded to their Twitter account:

You can check out the original opening for Avatar: The Last Airbender to see how the videos match up in the video down below!:

Fans can relive the epic journey of Avatar: The Last Airbender when Netflix adds all three seasons ("Books") on Friday, May 15, 2020!

The series, currently celebrating its 15th anniversary, is also available on DVD and Blu-ray.

From ScreenRant:

Avatar: The Last Airbender Recreated In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

A few Avatar: The Last Airbender fans have recreated the Spirit Oasis in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, just as the show is being binged on Netflix.

Reddit users have once again recreated elements of a beloved television show in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in this case Nickelodeon's classic Avatar: The Last Airbender. With the hit cartoon having begun streaming on Netflix a couple of weeks ago, fans are feeling nostalgic for the adventures of Avatar Aang and his friends as they struggle to master the Four Elements of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire to save the world from the evil Fire Lord Ozai's dreaded Fire Nation army.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ deep customization tools allow players to create new attire for their in-game avatars and even terraform the game’s island setting, each of which has spawned a number of creative tributes to other popular works and even real-life figures. These have ranged from remaking the intro sequence from Cartoon Network’s Courage The Cowardly Dog to even building an island in the shape of legendary actor Danny Devito’s face. Even the official Twitter page for MTV's late-2000s reality show Jersey Shore actually used the game to recreate iconic moments from the show. Meanwhile, some New Horizons players have opted for in-game homages that are slightly less outlandish, but no less impressive.

A number of Reddit users have recently been posting screenshots of their New Horizons-created tributes to Avatar: The Last Airbender on the Animal Crossing subreddit over the past week, particularly those referencing the Northern Water Tribe's Spirit Oasis from the end of the show’s first season - which a good number of viewers are most likely binging at the moment. Shdycnnn reenacted a scene in which main protagonist Aang meditated by the secluded pond at night, illni recreated the entire location, and demonica12 posted a screenshot of their Katara-inspired character happily strolling amid their own rendition of the oasis. Check out all of the posts below:

Been rewatching Avatar: The Last Air Bender recently and tried to recreate this special place on my island! from r/AnimalCrossing

I made the Northern Water Tribe Spirit Oasis (from Avatar: The Last Airbender) on my island from r/AnimalCrossing

In honor of rewatching the Avatar season 1 finale and inspired by another user's remake of the spirit oasis! from r/AnimalCrossing

Fondly remembered for its likable characters and surprisingly deep themes of destiny, prejudice, and war, Avatar: The Last Airbender ran for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008, spawning a number of tie-in comic books and even the four-season sequel series, The Legend Of Korra. A live-action Netflix adaptation was announced back in 2018, one that will hopefully avoid the mistakes that befell the ill-fated M. Night Shyamalan film of 2010, which notoriously mispronounced key characters’ names and white-washed the source material's ethnically diverse cast.

With this new show on the horizon and the original cartoon available now for viewing on Netflix, these fan recreations of the iconic Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s always impressive to see what people come with using creation tools in games like Animal Crossing, and these works from Redditors are no different. Players likely won’t gain any elemental powers from paying their islands a visit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but they remain nice displays of skill and creativity all the same.

###

From GameRant:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players Recreate Iconic Avatar: The Last Airbender Scenes

Following its release on Netflix, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players are making more island creations based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a bastion for creativity, with players able to reimagine their deserted islands in just about any way through a combination of custom design patterns, terraforming, and outdoor decorating. Much of that creativity has been channeled into referencing and recreating other pieces of media, some of which has come from the original creators like a recent MTV Jersey Shore social media post.

One hallmark that likely resonates with plenty of people currently playing New Horizons is the Nickelodeon animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender that aired between 2005 and 2008. The show became available on the streaming service Netflix earlier this month, and as a result some Animal Crossing fans have been rewatching it during quarantine and incorporating it into their games.

Of all the Avatar: The Last Airbender posts uploaded to the r/AnimalCrossing subreddit within the last week, much of the focus has been on a zen location called the Northern Water Tribe's Spirit Oasis seen during the concluding episodes of the first season. Reddit users shdycnnn, illni, and demonica12 have all posted renditions of this secluded pond made in Animal Crossing: New Horizons since the show began streaming.

[...]

Avatar creations have not been exclusively related to the Spirit Oasis, though that is likely seeing more frequency on account of players binging through the first season of the show. Some ideas were created well before its streaming began, much like the series has seen play on other creative outlets like Media Molecules' Dreams. Reddit user ItsPronouncedOiler posted a take on one of the most infamously emotional scenes from Season 2 last month, for instance.

Iroh Isle is my island filled with scenes from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I wanted to share one of my favorite spots with you guys! from r/AnimalCrossing

Although New Horizons players have been able to recreate scenes from Avatar and other cultural landmarks like Stanley Kubrick's horror movie The Shining, other fans have instead created objects and locations inspired by the show. The Internet is full of custom patterns and outfits that let players turn their characters into Aang, Katara, Zuko, and other Avatar mainstays, and Reddit users theglowingmonkey and BackToClassics have posted creations themed after the Fire Nation.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Inspired Home (Codes and Thanks in Comments) from r/AnimalCrossing
My tea shop inspired by Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender from r/AnimalCrossing

Player-made creations are one of the major aspects of Animal Crossing: New Horizons that have kept the game alive since its release on March 20, but its developers have also been releasing new content over time. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
