HOLLYWOOD, Calif., June 10, 2024 -- The Jim Henson Company (Fraggle Rock, Apple TV+; The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Netflix) and Paramount's Ananey Studios (Greenhouse Academy, Netflix; Spell Keepers, HBO Europe; Spyders, Nickelodeon International; Craft Party, CBBC) are introducing "climate hope" with The Season Keepers, a new 2D animated series for kids ages 6-12 and their families.

This modern-day fairy tale is inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons and welcomes viewers to connect to nature through a fantastical story filled with magical creatures. Twins Lia and Ben find their world and family unraveling when their parents' divorce sends them to their grandmother's small village for what's sure to be a snooze-fest of a spring holiday. Little do they know, they've landed in the middle of an epic battle between the seasons, where Lia discovers her gift to mediate between humans and The Nature Makers—a realm of magical creatures who are the guardians of nature itself. Lia must harness newfound powers and solidify her sibling bond with Ben to mend family rifts, save their grandmother from an eternal slumber, and stop a group of vengeful Nature Makers from plunging the world into a perpetual winter.

Frequent Henson collaborator Craig Bartlett (Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, Hey Arnold!) is attached as writer for the development of the series.

"From the minute Hila, Gili, and Shirley shared with us Bosmat Agayoff's gorgeous designs for her creation The Season Keepers, we knew this was the next fantasy world we wanted to explore at The Jim Henson Company," said Halle Stanford, President of Television at The Jim Henson Company. "At its heart, The Season Keepers is about the healing of a family and of the natural world around them. And this series about climate hope is wrapped up in a luxurious whimsical world filled with magical and never-before-seen creatures. To work with this extraordinary creative team from Israel is an honor; and then handing the story reigns over to Craig Bartlett ensures this adventure will captivate kids for generations."

"We couldn't be more excited about joining forces with the legendary Jim Henson Company, responsible for some of the most loved and known kids shows. In this modern-day animated fairytale, a breathtaking journey will intertwine magic, adventure, and heart to inspire young viewers everywhere," said Orly Atlas-Katz, CEO Ananey Paramount & Executive Vice President (EVP) Paramount Israel

The Season Keepers is created and designed by Bosmat Agayoff (Where is Anne Frank?, Barbie Dreamtopia). Gili Dolev will direct the series. Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford will serve as executive producers for The Jim Henson Company and Orly Atlas-Katz will serve as executive producer for Ananey Studios. Gili Dolev, Hila Pachter, and Shirley Oran will also serve as executive producers.

Nick Jr. UK To Premiere Brand-New Episodes Of "PAW Patrol" And "Dinosaur Train" From Monday 10th March 2014

Nick Jr. UK and Ireland has announced on Vimeo the very exciting news in their brand-new "Jurassic Bark" promo, below, that Nickelodeon UK's preschool channel will be premiering and showing back-to-back brand-new episodes of the popular CG-animated series "PAW Patrol" and "Dinosaur Train" every weekday at 4:00pm (repeated at 5:00pm on Nick Jr.+1) from Monday 10th March 2014 as part of a brand-new programming block called "Jurassic Bark"!

To celebrate and promote Nick Jr. UK and Ireland airing all-new episodes of "PAW Patrol" and "Dinosaur Train" in March 2014, Nickelodeon UK has unveiled Nick Jr. UK's brand-new "Jurassic Bark" promo/trailer, which pays homage to the classic movie "Jurassic Park".

The advert brings the two popular preschool shows together and sees characters from the worlds of "Dinosaur Train" and "Paw Patrol" playing together.

Nick Junior UK's "Jurassic Bark" advert also features a Richard Attenborough-style narrator and the classic theme tune from "Jurassic Park", and recreates some iconic moments from the film.

"We're passionate about producing innovative content in-house and our creative team has revived a classic to create a concept which fuses two very different shows together," said Alison Bakunowich, Vice President (VP), creative, marketing and communications of Nickelodeon UK and Ireland.

"We know that our pre-school audience aren't and shouldn't be familiar with the film but parents watch the channel as well and our playful nod to Jurassic Park was created with them in mind."

This marks the second time Nickelodeon UK's preschool channel has payed homage to a popular film or TV show, following on from the channels "Game of Thrones" tribute in October 2013 to promote Nick Jr. UK premiering brand-new episodes of "Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom". The promo paid tribute to HBO's "Game of Thrones", a American fantasy drama television series which airs on Sky Atlantic and Sky1 in the UK, by utilising both music and a filming manner that tips its hat to the HBO fantasy epic's opening titles. In the trail, viewers are taken to some of the various locations around the enchanted magical kingdom - The Elf Windmill, The Little Castle, The Great Elf Tree, The Marigold Castle, Gaston's Cave, and The Meadow - to visit and meet the various fairies, elves and insects who inhabit the land.

Go on a Jurassic Bark-sized adventure with brand-new episodes of "PAW Patrol" and "Dinosaur Train", daily at 4:00pm (repeated at 5:00pm on Nick Jr.+1) from Monday 10th March 2014, only on Nick Jr.!

The Jim Henson Company Appoints Nickelodeon And Viacom Consumer Products To Represent Their CGI-Animated Preschool Series "Dinosaur Train" In The UK

From Kidscreen:
NVCP hops on the Dinosaur Train

The Jim Henson Company has appointed Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to rep its hit preschool property Dinosaur Train in the UK and Ireland.

NVCP will look to piggyback the licensing and merchandising success the IP has maintained in other global territories by bringing new product lines across all categories to the UK and Ireland where the series has been a hit with audiences since making its Nick Jr. debut in the regions on March 12, 2012.

Licensees in the UK market currently on board include global master toy licensee TOMY (InterAction Figures with Smart Talk Technology for 2013), and Puffin (paperback storybooks and board and novelty books), while additional European licensees are Evasion Communications (costumes), Shok ID (soft toys, France), Junior Productions (walk around characters, Sweden), Babel (publishing, Portugal), Secret Fragrancy (soap, shampoo, shower gels, Portugal), and iPlay (CDs, Portugal).

Boasting approximately 70 global licensees in total, Dinosaur Train deals were also recently inked for Latin America and Russia.

In the US, licensees include VTech Electronics (electronic learning products), MegaBrands (construction toys), Uncle Milton (science toys and kits), Pressman Toy Corp (board games), Patch Products (magnetic playsets and puzzles), Rail Events (live events), Hallmark (greeting cards, ornaments, party goods), California Costume Collections (Halloween costumes), and Crayola (Crayola Wonder, coloring books).

Dinosaur Train airs on PBS Kids and is co-produced with Singapore-based animation company Sparky Animation with participation and assistance of the Singapore Media Development Authority. UK production and financial support is provided by Ingenious Media.
