Noggin, Nickelodeon's SVOD Service For Preschoolers, Adds "Dora The Explorer"; To Add "Zack & Quack", "Peppa Pig" & More

Vámonos! Dora the Explorer has swung onto Noggin, Nickelodeon’s video-subscription service for preschoolers!

The Noggin app on Friday (1st September 2017) added 100 episodes from the first four seasons of Dora the Explorer, the networks hit animated preschool series starring the well-known Latina heroine and Boots, her monkey sidekick. The addition of Dora expands the $5.99-per-month subscription VOD service to over 1,000 full-length episodes. Also joining the lineup soon are Zack & Quack (26 episodes) and Peppa Pig (44 episodes) in October and November, respectively.

In addition, Noggin will add 13 interactive play-along preschool videos to its content slate this year for Bubble Guppies (September), Team Umizoomi (October), Blaze and the Monster Machines (November) and holiday-themed Bubble Guppies videos (December).

Dora the Explorer, with its trademark call-and-response format, is created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes and Eric Weiner. In the show, Dora uses her knowledge of English and Spanish to communicate with her friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals.

Meanwhile, the first season of Dora the Explorer is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

NOGGIN is an ad-free, video subscription service that features hundreds of iconic, full-length library episodes, short-form videos, educational content, music videos featuring preschoolers’ favorite Nickelodeon characters, and more, with new content added weekly. Nick Jr. Orders Second Season of 'Zack And Quack'

CG-animated preschool series is produced by creators QQD Ltd. in partnership with U.K. producers Belly Up Productions, Israel's Candy Bear Studios, and Singapore's Infinite Frameworks.

QQD Ltd. has signed an enhanced acquisition deal with Nick Jr. for a second season of the 3D animated preschool series Zack and Quack. It will air on Nick Jr. channels around the world, including Nick Jr. in the U.S., where it will premiere in the summer of 2016.

Produced by creators QQD Ltd in partnership with U.K. producers Belly Up Productions, Israel's Candy Bear Studios, and Singapore's Infinite Frameworks, Zack and Quack is a pop-up world of creative play where even the ordinary can be extraordinary...if you use your imagination.

The series features the exciting adventures of an inquisitive seven-year-old boy, Zack and his devoted duck, Quack. In their unique Pop-up World, they use tabs, pulls and other devices to trigger pop ups that create surprising and interactive stories in every episode.

The first season of Zack and Quack received two Annie Award nominations for Best General Audience Animated TV/Broadcast Production For Preschool Children and Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production.

The series is created by Gili Dolev (The Happy Duckling) and Yvette Kaplan (Ice Age, Beavis & Butthead). Nigel Pickard and Ronen Shani are the executive producers alongside Yvette Kaplan. QQD Ltd's Gili Dolev is the supervising director, Erez Gavish is the series Art Director, and Maria O'Loughlin is the Head Writer.

QQD has partnered with world leading toy inventors, JMP, to transform the magical pop-up world of Zack and Quack into inventive toy and play patterns products for the preschool market.

In "Wallykazam!", Nick Jr. invites preschoolers to discover the magic of words. Nick Jr. Italy To Premiere "Zack & Quack" On Monday 7th April 2014

Nick Jr. Italy (Italia) has announced the exciting news in the 'News' section on their official website, NickJr.it, that Nick Jr. Italy (Italia), Nickelodeon Italy's local version of the popular preschool channel, will start to premiere and show Nickelodeon's brand new CG-animated preschool series "Zack & Quack" everyday at 1:15pm and 4:45pm from Monday 7th April 2014!:

Nick Jr. UK's Latest Research Finds That The UK Is A Nation Of Big Kids

The British daily tabloid newspaper The Daily Mail is reporting the Nickelodeon UK News in the following article that from their official website, the Mail Online, that, to celebrate Nick Jr. UK and Ireland's brand-new CG-animated preschool series "Zack & Quack", Nick Jr. UK has unveiled the findings from the preschool channels' latest research to mark the launch of the all-new show!

As part of Nick Jr. UK's latest study, Nick Junior found that the UK is a nation of big kids! One in five adults say they still love childhood pursuits such as popping bubble wrap, watching cartoons, playing pranks on friends, kicking piles of leaves, licking the bowl, saying 'jinx' and 'shotgun', pretending to have superpowers, jumping on shopping trollies and daydreaming.

Popping bubble wrap, kicking piles of leaves and licking the bowl are all childish habits that one in five of us just can't kick, a new study has found.

Other youthful urges that have proved hard to let go of include whizzing round the supermarket while clinging to a shopping trolley, drawing faces on steamed up mirrors, not eating crusts and saying 'jinx'.

But although adults like to cling onto childish ways to have fun, most say their imagination and ability to see things with a child-like eye dwindles by the age of 26.

One, two, three, pop! Bubble wrap is just as popular with adults as with children

Nevertheless, a youthful two thirds of adults said they still feel like a big kid at heart with one in 10 admitting to indulging in Home Alone style pranks such as jumping out on people to startle them.

More than half of those studied said they regularly daydream, mostly about being very rich or happy, while a third of dreamers imagine a life lived in a big house and a fifth pretend they have superpowers.

A resounding 86 per cent thought it crucial to try and remain imaginative as an adult while more than two thirds believe that having a good imagination makes you more creative.

However, it's not all child's play, as half said that being more imaginative made them better at work.

Others said they adopted additional youthful habits as an adult, with a fifth admitting to picking up slang phrases such as 'selfie' while a third indulged in text speak, using abbreviations such as 'lol'.

An adventurous one in four even confessed to photobombing others by sticking their fingers up behind an unsuspecting person's head.

Other ways in which adults hark back to their younger years were through dancing to music, spending time with young family members and indulging in the occasional duvet day.

A grateful 90 per cent of parents regularly relive certain childhood moments through their children, with days out, watching programmes together and feeding the ducks among the most popular activities.

Six in 10 parents said that the benefits went two ways, saying that it's important for their children to see them being a bit silly from time to time.

The top 50 child-like behaviours emerged in a poll of 2,000 adults conducted by Nick Jr. UK to mark the launch of brand-new children's show Zack & Quack, which airs every Friday at 4:30pm.

Jacqueline Harding, a child development expert, said: 'Children have an innate capacity to be imaginative and it is only as we mature and face exposure to adult rules and regulations that imagination and creativity begins to wane.

'Magical stories serve a child's imagination and are invaluable to the development of solution-focused thinking.

'Children believe that challenges can be overcome and they are optimistic in their approach, so adults need to play in order to regain that child-like sense that anything is possible.'

KaBoom! Entertainment Inc. Acquires Home Entertainment Rights To Zodiak Kids' "Zack & Quack"

The children's entertainment and media news website Kidscreen is reporting the exciting news that KaBoom! Entertainment Inc., the dedicated kids and family label of the Toronto, Canada-based film company Phase 4 Films, has picked up the home entertainment rights to the brand-new preschool series "Zack & Quack" from Zodiak Kids.

The 52 x 11-minute series recently had its world premiere on Nick Jr. Australia & New Zealand and will debut on Nick Jr. UK & Ireland on Friday 7th February 2014 at 4:30pm, and on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr channels worldwide during 2014.

kaboom! now holds the DVD, DTO/DTR (download-to-own/download-to-rent), TVOD (transactional video on demand; excluding SVOD (subscription video on demand)) rights in the USA, as well as DVD rights for Canada.

kaboom! will take "Zack & Quack" to retail on DVD in Canada through its Treehouse Presents label, a joint-venture between Corus Entertainment and Phase 4 Films. In the US, kaboom! holds a range of home entertainment rights to the show, which follows the everyday life and adventures of Zack and his friends as they journey through their pop-up storybook.

The CG-animated series made its debut at MIPCOM 2013 in October 2013, where it attracted a number of pre-sales.

Nickelodeon USA Announces When They May Premiere Brand-New Preschool Shows "Wallykazam", "Blaze and the Monster Machines" And "Dora and Friends"

Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids and families, has announced in their 'Coming Soon To Nickelodeon: New Preschool Series' sizzle reel the seasons of the year which Nick USA are currently planning to launch the networks upcoming brand-new preschool shows "Wallykazam", "Blaze and the Monster Machines" and "Dora and Friends", which Nickelodeon USA is expected to premiere as part of their preschool programming block, "Nick: The Smart Place to Play"!

According to Nick's 'Coming Soon' sales tape, Nickelodeon USA will debut the brand-new preschool series "Wallykazam" in Spring 2014, "Blaze and the Monster Machines" during Summer 2014, and "Dora and Friends" during Fall/Autumn 2014!

"Wallykazam!" is Nickelodeon's first literacy show for preschoolers that embeds the curriculum into a rich narrative story, with the goal of helping kids fall in love with words and inspiring them to read. The original comedy follows the adventures of a boy named Wally Trollman and his pet dragon, Norville. Wally has a magic stick that makes words come to life and playfully transforms the world around him.

"Blaze and the Monster Machines", a original CG-animated series introduces preschoolers to the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). This is the first preschool show that features a curriculum dedicated to all areas of STEM. Viewers will join an eight-year-old boy named AJ and his incredible monster truck Blaze on super-sized adventures. AJ and the viewer help Blaze as they explore the physics of how things move, master mathematics and discover how everyday technologies work. The series, which received a 20-episode order, will debut on Nickelodeon USA in 2014. "Blaze and the Monster Machines" created by Jeff Borkin (head writer, "Team Umizoomi", "Little Einsteins") and Ellen Martin (producer, "Bubble Guppies", "The Backyardigans").

"Dora and Friends" is a brand new spin-off series from Nickelodeon's massively popular animated preschool series "Dora the Explorer", which will star Latina heroine Dora the Explorer as a 10-year-old (Tween), who, with her four new friends - super sporty Alana, musical Emma, theatrical Kate and star-gazing Naiya (also known as the Explorer Girls) - and a bit of magic, explore an enchanted city, which has surprises around every corner.

"Zack and Quack" (formally titled "Quick, Quack, Duck!") follows the adventures of an inquisitive seven-year-old boy called Zack (formally Remi) and his devoted duck Quack. "Zack and Quack" is executive produced by Zodiak MEAA/UK family and kids chief executive Nigel Pickard with The Foundation's ("Summer In Transylvania") Vanessa Hill, alongside Kaplan and QQD's Ronen Shani. Simon Spencer serves as the series showrunner. "Zack and Quack" is based on Bafta-winning short film "The Happy Duckling". The short's director Gili Dolev co-created the new series with Yvette Kaplan ("Ice Age", "Beavis & Butthead"). The series will receive it's world premiere on Nick Jr. Australia and New Zealand in January 2014.

"Wanda and the Alien" is from best-selling and award-winning author, Sue Hendra. Wanda is a little girl rabbit who happens to meet an alien. The stories are set in a visually stunning world encompassing Earth, space and the alien's home planet. It is iconic and immediately identifiable as part of Wanda’s world - making this a stand-out production for any network. The books appeal to both boys and girls and deal with two fundamental parts of their lives: new experiences and friendship. The 52 x 10-minute series is co-produced by UK-based Random House and Komixx Entertaiment.

Nick Jr. Australia And New Zealand To Host World Premiere Of Brand-New CG-Animated Preschool Series "Zack and Quack" In January 2014

Nick Jr. Australia has announced the exciting news in their latest "Nick Jr. News" e-Newsletter (eDM), January 2014, that Nick Jr. Australia & New Zealand, Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand's local version of the popular preschool channel, will be holding the world premiere of Nickelodeon's brand new CG-animated series "Zack and Quack" on 9:00am on Tuesday 28th January 2014!:

The licensing industry news website Licensing.biz is reporting the Nickelodeon News that Nickelodeon's upcoming brand new CG-animated series "Quick, Quack, Duck!" has been renamed and will be now called "Zack and Quack". Additionally, the title character of the show has also been renamed from 'Remi' to 'Zack'.

Nickelodeon picked up the global broadcast rights for the new series, set to debut on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr channels worldwide, including Nick Jr. UK and Ireland, from early 2014, last year (2012).

Licensing.biz is also reporting that Zodiak Kids has announced a raft of pre-sales for its brand new 3D animated kids series "Zack and Quack", which has made its debut at MIPCOM 2013.

The new pre-sales include Treehouse in Canada, Discovery Kids in Latin America, France TV, YLE in Finland and Turkey's Minika. Meanwhile, DVD partners have also been secured in North America with Phase 4 DVD in the US and Corus DVD in Canada:

3D animated pre-school series will make its debut at Mipcom; Nickelodeon Junior already signed as global broadcaster.

Zodiak Kids has revealed a raft of pre-sales for its brand new kids show, Zack and Quack, a 3D animated pre-schools series making its debut at Mipcom.

The new pre-sales include Treehouse in Canada, Discovery Kids in Latin America, France TV, YLE in Finland and Turkey's Minika.

Meanwhile, DVD partners have also been secured in North America with Phase 4 DVD in the US and Corus DVD in Canada.

Nickelodeon Jr. has already signed as the global broadcaster for the new series, set to debut on Nick Jr channels worldwide from early 2014.

Karen Vermeulen, SVP global sales and co-production, Zodiak Kids, said: “We are delighted to report such a strong start to Zack & Quack sales with this stellar line-up of preeminent broadcasters coming aboard the series.
