Nickelodeon India Announces Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 Winners

Record-breaking 1.7mn votes cast by kids at Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022

Shah Rukh Khan a.k.a Pathaan emerges as the clear favourite amongst kids by earning the title of Favourite Actor and winning the Favourite Movie category

Momos becomes the food of the generation, while Candy Crush Saga emerges as the Favourite Mobile Game

Nickelodeon India continues to strengthen its position and setting new benchmarks in the industry with numerous category-first initiatives. The digital edition of Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 received 1.7 million votes, the highest ever across all editions of KCA in India. This unparalleled response is a testament to its ability to engage and empower its young viewers across platforms.

Defying in-person limitations and allowing audiences to engage like never before, this year witnessed kids engaging with KCA through short and snacky content across platforms and screens.

With the addition of newer categories, the fandom surrounding Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards grew tremendously and witnessed appreciation for socially trending categories such as Favorite Audio on Reels, Favorite Influencer, and Favorite Shorts. With ‘Kids Ki Choice, Kids Ki Voice’ at the core of it, the iconic Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022, reiterated its focus on empowering kids with #It’sAllAboutYou.

With a phenomenal response received, Pathaan emerges as the clear favorite amongst kids by winning the Favorite Movie, and Shah Rukh Khan earns the title of Favorite Movie Actor for his role. Kiara Advani bags the title of Favorite Movie Actor (Female), while Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit are declared as Favorite Dancing Star (Male) and (Female), respectively.

The Favorite Sportsperson title is once again won by PV Sindhu, along with a host of special awards being presented to Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aryan, and Bhumi Pednekar.

Following its Oscar triumph for Best Original Song, RRR’s infectious track Naatu Naatu continues to shine by winning the honor of Favorite Song (South) at the Kids’ Choice Awards 2022.

Additionally, KGF 2 emerges as the Favorite Movie (South), while Rashmika Mandanna and Yash claim victory in the Favorite Movie Actor Female (South) and Male (South) categories, respectively. The beloved sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah maintains its winning streak by securing the title of Favorite TV Show for the eighth consecutive time, with Dilip Joshi once again taking home the award for Favorite TV Actor (Male).

Momos take the crown as the ultimate favorite food among the generation, while Candy Crush Saga claims the title of the Favorite Mobile Game. Adding to the excitement, Nickelodeon’s Motu Patlu steals the show as the Favorite Show on Kids Channel, with Motu himself being honored as the Favorite Indian Cartoon Character.

Speaking on the massive response received for Kids’ Choice Awards 2022, Sonali Bhattacharya, Head – Marketing, Kids TV Network, Viacom18, said, “With year-on-year successful editions of the Kids’ Choice Awards, Nickelodeon continues to be the ultimate platform that puts kids at the center of all that it does. Taking its reach to new heights, the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022, hosted by National award winner Varun Buddhadev, will have its largest-ever digital simulcast on June 28th, 2023.

The entertainment extravaganza will be streamed across various network platforms, including Nickindia.com and Sonicgang.com, as well as the social media platforms of Nickelodeon India, Sonic Gang, MTV India and Colors. Kids can also tune into JioTV to join in on the excitement!

Nickelodeon India Announces Kids’ Choice Awards 2022

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 India is back in a digitally power-packed avatar that inspires kids with #AllAboutYou

India, 1st March 2023: It’s that time of the year again when the orange carpet is rolled out, empowering kids to voice their choice and cast the vote for their favourites! Having successfully pivoted to an online format that witnessed record-breaking participation for its previous two editions, category leader and pioneer in kids’ entertainment – Nickelodeon – is all set to bring back the most special time of the year with an all-new edition of Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022. The 2022 edition of the awards will don a digitally powered avatar, reaching out to our young viewers with entertaining and relatable formats, and lots of slime! With ‘Kids Ki Choice, Kids Ki Voice’, the iconic Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2022, will reiterate its focus on empowering kids with #It’sAllAboutYou.

In a unique avatar, KCA 2022 will engage kids through short and snacky content across platforms and screens. Like every year, the winners will be bestowed with the coveted Nickelodeon Blimp and get slimed as a badge of honour! In addition to the existing categories such as Favorite Movie Actor, Favorite Video Game, Favorite Movie, Favourite Sportsperson, Favourite Food amongst others, this season will witness the introduction of exciting and socially trending categories to recognize short content influencers and platforms. From Favourite Audio on Reels to Favourite Influencer and Favourite Shorts, the young fans also stand a chance to vote for their Favourite Song, Favourite TV show, Favourite Dancing Star, to name a few. The categories and nominations were gathered from an exhaustive research study conducted to determine who and what were the kids’ favourites. While the previous editions witnessed Subway Surfers, Shahrukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, P.V. Sindhu, MS Dhoni and several others win big in their respective categories, it will be exciting to see who takes the blimp home this time!

Taking innovation a notch higher, Nickelodeon KCA 2022 will witness the introduction of a category-first AI-assisted chatbot on nickindia.com that will assist young viewers with all things KCA! Pulling out all stops, Nickelodeon KCA 2022 will also witness the biggest multi-screen simulcast and leverage its network strength across all platforms. Pivoting the media mix, the marketing campaign will be promoted through a robust TV, digital and social media plan. Nickelodeon will also create snackable and shoulder content with the KCA squad and introduce AR filters, Dance Challenges, Super Fan sessions. That’s not all! In a first-of-its-kind initiative, with a focus on the kids-pet bond, KCA 2022 will give kids a chance to flaunt their choices with their loved ones and have the furry friends jump onto the KCA squad bandwagon! To promote and encourage the adoption and rescue of animals, Nickelodeon has forged strategic partnerships with NGOs like YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals). Advancing the marketing strategy, Nickelodeon will also be partnering with Sassy Teaspoon to curate special combos for KCA 2022.

ViacomCBS' COVID-Related Suit Against Berkley Allowed to Proceed

A federal district court in Los Angeles has refused to dismiss COVID-19-related litigation filed by ViacomCBS Inc. (Paramount Global) against a W.R. Berkley unit in litigation that focused on two disrupted productions.

Media and entertainment company ViacomCBS had sought cast coverage and extra expense coverage from Berkley unit Great Divide Insurance Co. in connection with losses it sustained involving Goldie's Oldies, a Nickelodeon International sitcom series filmed outside Manchester, England, and the 2020 Kids' Choice Awards, a live awards ceremony produced in Los Angeles, both of whose productions were shut down because of the pandemic in 2020, according to Thursday’s (Nov. 10) ruling by the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles in ViacomCBS Inc. v. Great Divide Insurance Co.

Great Divide has neither approved nor denied ViacomCBS’ Goldie’s Oldies claim, nor has it paid the 2020 KCA claim, and it has denied that costs incurred prior to its abandonment come within the policy’s extra expense coverage, the ruling said.

In September 2020, the insurer sent ViacomCBS a notice of nonrenewal.

ViacomCBS filed suit against the insurer claiming breach of contract and of the duty of good faith and fair dealing, and seeking declaratory relief with respect to coverage for its COVID-19-related claims on more than 100 productions. Great Divide filed a counterclaim against ViacomCBS regarding its obligations on coverage and the validity of its nonrenewal. 

The ruling said the parties have resolved more than 95 of the approximately 145 television production claims made under the policy, but disagreed on some of the larger claims as to which losses are covered and to what extent.

The court held that Great Divide must indemnify ViacomCBS under its due diligence clause for the costs it incurred in developing and implementing COVID-19 safety protocols for Goldie’s Oldies.

It said there is no dispute that ViacomCBS’ “efforts in developing and implementing COVID-19 safety protocols for the production of Goldie's Oldies were reasonably practicable efforts taken to avoid or diminish loss or circumstances likely to give rise to a loss or claim insured under the policy.”

Also, its “reliance on medical experts and government guidance to develop the protocols, as well as the implemented protocols themselves, were reasonably practical as matter of law for purposes of the Due Diligence clause,” the ruling said.

The court also ruled that ViacomCBS is entitled to a finding that Great Divide was not permitted to nonrenew the policy in 2020, and that its nonrenewal notice was invalid.

It held, however, that ViacomCBS was not entitled to preproduction costs incurred prior to abandoning the 2020 KCA production because it did not come within the policy’s “definition of loss” under the extra expense coverage provision.

Attorneys in the case did not respond to Business Insurance's requests for comment.

Nickelodeon Announces Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 Winners

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the winners of Kids' Choice Awards México 2022!


Kids' Choice Awards is the world's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more. Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 is the 13th annual local edition of Nick's Kids' Choice Awards slimefest tentpole in Mexico!

Over the past month, NickHeads in Mexico have cast votes for their favourites to become finalists in each category, with the top four (out of eight) most voted for nominees in each of the voting categories going onto the final stage of voting. Nickelodeon Latinoamérica has also added an extra category for the second stage of voting: Activista Fav, recognising content creators who are committed to social causes. In addition, for the first time, the Kids' Choice Awards also includes two categories to recognise talent from Argentina and Chile.

Fans across México are now able to vote for their favourites from the worlds of entertainment and social media across 22 voting categories online at https://www.kcamexico.com and on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags below. Fans can vote as many times as they wish to support their favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more!

Vota por tus nominados favoritos - KCA México 2022 | Promo | Nickelodeon MX

Voting for the final stage of KCA México 2022 opened on Monday 25th July 2022 and will close at 23:59 on Friday 19th August 2022. The winners of Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 will be announced when Nickelodeon returns to the Ciudad de México for a star and slime-studded ceremony at the Auditorio Nacional in Ciudad de México, which will air on Nickelodeon on Tuesday 30th August 2022 at 8:00 pm, simulcast on YouTube and Pluto TV.

With the exception of the international or mixed categories, only individuals, programs, films, public figures and games originating from a Spanish-speaking country and, where applicable, features more than 51% of it's dialogue in Spanish were eligible to be nominated in Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards México 2022.

Fans can visit https://www.kcamexico.com/vota to vote for their favourite nominees!

Via Instagram:

To vote via Instagram, visit and like Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's official Instagram page, https://www.instagram.com/nickelodeonla, and comment on any post with your nominee's unique hashtag and #KCAMéxico, for example, to vote for Club 57 to win the "Nick Show Favorito" orange blimp, your comment must include the hashtags #Club57Nick #KCAMéxico.

To vote via Twitter, follow Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's official Twitter page, https://twitter.com/nickelodeonla. Each voting Tweet must feature both the unique hashtag and #KCAMEXICO in it for the vote to be counted:

Nickelodeon Announces Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 Pre-Nominations

Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) has announced the first-round of nominees for Kids' Choice Awards México 2022!


Kids' Choice Awards is the world's largest children's and teen awards, and celebrates kids’ favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more. Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 is the 13th annual local edition of Nick's Kids' Choice Awards slimefest tentpole in Mexico!

Fans across México are now able to vote for their favourites from the worlds of entertainment and social media across 21 voting categories online at https://www.kcamexico.com and on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtags below. Fans can vote as many times as they wish to support their favourites from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and more!

PRE-NOMINADOS NICKELODEON KIDS´ CHOICE AWARDS MÉXICO 2022

Voting will happen in two stages. In the pre-nomination (pre-nominados) stage, each category has eight nominees. The four nominees with the most votes in each category will then move onto the final stage of voting, which will be announced in the coming weeks. Voting for the first stage of KCA México 2022 opened on Monday 27th June 2022 and will close at 23:59 on Sunday 24th July 2022.

With the exception of the international or mixed categories, only individuals, programs, films, public figures and games originating from a Spanish-speaking country and, where applicable, features more than 51% of it's dialogue in Spanish were eligible to be nominated in Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards México 2022.

New this year are two new categories honouring talent from Argentina and Chile.

How to Vote:

There are three ways for fans to vote for their favourites in Kids' Choice Awards México 2022:

Via the Website:

Fans can visit https://www.kcamexico.com/vota to vote for their favourite nominees!

Via Instagram:

To vote via Instagram, visit and like Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's official Instagram page, https://www.instagram.com/nickelodeonla, and comment on any post with your nominee's unique hashtag and #KCAMéxico, for example, to vote for Club 57 to win the "Nick Show Favorito" orange blimp, your comment must include the hashtags #Club57Nick #KCAMéxico.

Via Twitter:

To vote via Twitter, follow Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's official Twitter page, https://twitter.com/nickelodeonla. Each voting Tweet must feature both the unique hashtag and #KCAMEXICO in it for the vote to be counted:

For example, if you want to see The Casagrandes win the orange blimp for "Nick Show Favorito", your Tweet should look similar to:

There will also be two special categories in this year's Kids' Choice Awards México with the winners decided by Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards Executive Committee (Comité Ejecutivo) - Pro-social and Leyenda. The Pro-social blimp will be awarded to the organization and/or the individual whose work is focused on the well-being of children within the Mexican territory (and may also have activities within the territory of other countries); and the Leyenda award will be given to the artist of any Latin American nationality who has a remarkable career in the children's entertainment industry. The prize will be awarded in recognition of their artistic career.

Nickelodeon will reveal the winners of Kids' Choice Awards México 2022 later this year.

StarTimes to offer subscribers free viewing in Easter promo

Africa’s leading digital TV operator StarTimes is set to offer its cherished subscribers extra viewing days to enjoy more premium content this Easter period. 

The Easter Promo which rolls out from 15th March till 30th April rewards subscribers who recharge their decoder accounts.

Super Bouquet subscribers who pay for two months’ subscription get 10 days extra viewing days.

StarTimes offers three bouquets with monthly subscription rates at GHC 79 for Super Bouquet, GHC 49 for Smart Bouquet, and as low as GHC 22 for the Nova Bouquet.

According to the Head of Marketing, Mrs. Akofa Banson, the StarTimes Easter Promo is aimed at offering families more to enjoy while together during the holidays.
