Two Potential Brand-New Nickelodeon Comedy Series Announced

Francesca Martin, who played Kaylee in the popular Canadian teen sitcom "Life with Boys", has announced the exciting news in a series of posts on her official Twitter profile page, @ImFrancescaM, that she is currently working on a pilot for a potential brand-new comedy series for Nickelodeon and TeenNick called "Heavy Metal" (working title)!

Additionally, Minuteman News Center is reporting the further exciting news that Nickelodeon is currently developing a brand-new half-hour comedy series based on author Lian Dolan's ("Elizabeth the First Wife", "Helen of Pasadena") popular weekly podcast "The Chaos Chronicles", which features a humorous look at modern motherhood, for Nick At Nite (Nick @ Nite)!

Dolan is a regular weekly contributor to Oprah.com as a parenting expert on the Relationships page. She writes a humor advice column focusing on parenting, friendship and family dynamics. Prior to her work on "Chaos Chronicles" and Oprah.com, and she created "Satellite Sisters", an award-winning talk show, blog, and website, with her four real sisters. From 2000 to 2009, "Satellite Sisters" won 8 Gracie Allen Awards for Excellence in Women’s Media and had a nationwide audience of a million listeners a week.

Dolan is also the co-author of "Satellite Sisters UnCommon Senses", published in 2001 by Riverhead. Her writing has been featured in many national magazines including regular columns in O, The Oprah Magazine and Working Mother. She has contributed regularly to makinglifebetter.com. Her essays have also appeared in several anthologies, including "Chicken Soup for the Sister's Soul" and "Over the Hill and Between the Sheets". She has appeared on numerous TV shows including "The Today Show", "CBS Sunday Morning" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show". She is a popular speaker for groups and corporations, always using humor as hook in her speeches. Dolan currently resides in Pasadena, California.

Nickelodeon UK To Premiere Brand New Episodes Of "Life With Boys" From Sunday 27th October 2013

The online British and Irish TV guide website Digiguide, via NickUKHub, is reporting the exciting Nick UK news that Nickelodeon UK and Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK will start to premiere and show the brand new second season of the popular Canadian teen sitcom "Life with Boys" in October 2013, as part of Nick UK & Eire's Autumn/Winter 2013 programming highlights!

Nickelodeon UK will premiere the first brand new episode from "Life with Boys" season two, called "Do You Wanna Dance With Boys", on Sunday 27th October 2013 at 5:00pm (replayed at 6:00pm on Nick UK's plus-one timeshift channel, Nick+1), as part of Nickelodeon UK's spooktacular Halloween 2013 programming line-up. Nickelodeon UK will then resume to broadcast more brand new episodes of season 2 of "Life with Boys" from Monday 4th November 2013 at 4:00pm, starting with the all-new episode "Girl-Entine's Day With Boys", which is the first new episode that features the new modified season two theme song.

It is currently unannounced whether Nick UK will then debut more new episodes of "Life with Boys" daily or weekly, or if Nickelodeon UK will be holding a special Premiere Week programming stunt for the brand new episodes.

Live-action tween comedy series to premiere on TeenNick.

DreamWorks Classics has announced that live-action tween comedy series Life With Boys is set to premiere in the US on TeenNick on Wednesday, February 6th, with a run of 22 episodes.

The series is created by Michael Poryes (Hannah Montana and That’s So Raven) and produced by Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Studio and Steven Bawol’s Helion Pictures.

Life With Boys tells the story of 14-year-old Tess Foster (Torri Webster) as she navigates her way through the turmoil of teen life while living at home with her single, overprotective dad and three brothers.

“Life With Boys has been a hit around the world and we look forward to bringing this refreshingly funny series to U.S. audiences,” said Doug Schwalbe, EVP, Production and Programme Sales, DreamWorks Classics. “We are thrilled that the show will air on TeenNick and are excited to introduce Tess Foster and her life with boys to a whole new fan base.”

In the brand new episode of "Life with Boys" titled "Birthdays with Boys", Tess' Dad wants to throw her a "Foster Funplex Birthday Extravaganza" for the fifth year in a row but Tess, who is trying not to make her 15th birthday feel like a child's birthday, would rather do something more group-up - more specifically, go to a movie premiere with her friend, Allie. Finding it hard to tell her father the truth, she accidentally makes her Dad believe she would rather go skydiving. Guest Stars: Austin Macdonald as Andy Jacobs.

In the brand new episode of "Life with Boys" called "Bathroom Battles with Boys", each morning there is disagreement within the Foster family over the bathroom. In order to end the quarrel once and for all, Jack decides to set up a private bathroom for Tess. However, Jack has to take a second job in order to pay for the construction costs.
