Disliz Unveils Nickelodeon San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Exclusives

Over the years, Disliz has built a loyal following among Nickelodeon fans with its officially licensed enamel pin collections and watches, transforming fan favorite animated series into coveted collectible sets. Rather than focusing on individual characters alone, the company’s designs celebrate memorable episodes and scenes from beloved Nicktoons series like SpongeBob SquarePants, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, CatDog, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and more.

This year, Disliz is returning to San Diego Comic-Con at Booth #1233, with another lineup of Nickelodeon pins, led by an exclusive SpongeBob SquarePants set and a variety of new episode-themed pin collections, San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog reports.

Leading the lineup is an SDCC exclusive SpongeBob SquarePants 4-pin set inspired by the classic episode “Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy I”, where SpongeBob and Patrick convince their childhood heroes to come out of retirement. The exclusive set is limited to 600 pieces and will be offered in three editions:

Spunky...Spunky...SPUNKY!!! Look out!

You've got to help me with Spunky, mate. He's on the loose in O'Town, and he's got a knack for getting into trouble. O'Town can be a dangerous place, filled with tons of puzzling pitfalls.

Down at Rocl-O-Whey Beach, we'll protect Spunky from one-eyed pelicans, crusty crabs, and other dangerous sea creatures. True fun in the sun!

Steel-jawed, steam-belching contraptions threaten Spunky over at Hill-O-Stench garbage dump. I hope you're quick-minded! Throughout the neighborhood, we'll follow Spunky from treacherous treehouses to dingy basements, keeping him out of danger. Are you ready to face the Bigheads?

Finally, we'll outsmart wild washing machines, tricky lint traos and grungy gripes to rescue Spunky from the depths of Laundryland. Please help Spunky survive the spin cycle!

The only rest we'll get is when Spunky lies down here for a nice, quiet...Spunky?

Hey Spunky? What in the blazes?!?! SPUNKY!!!

Mondo Scares Up 'AAAHH!!! Real Monsters' Figures

This October marked 30 years since the spooks-in-training of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters first haunted television screens. Klasky Csupó's creative animated horror comedy series about young monsters studying to scare humans was part of an early era of Nicktoons with classics like Doug, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rugrats, and Rocko's Modern Life, and received solid reviews and a Daytime Emmy nomination.

AAAHH!!! Real Monsters x Mondo

To celebrate their milestone anniversary, Mondo is making the trio of Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm the first addition to their new Mondo Squads category of figures, bringing together killer pop culture crews with plenty of accessories in one neat kit. Fans can pre-order this new set today on the official Mondo shop.

Check out a sneak peek of this new set below!

The collectible company's first Mondo Squad will come in both a standard and limited edition variation, the latter of which comes with even more accessories, yet is limited to only 1,000 units. In each set, the bunny-like Ickis, spindly Oblina, and hairy, eye-holding Krumm are each depicted in stunning detail, constructed by Mondo's own squad of monstrously skilled creators including concept designer Joe Allard, sculptor Brandon Gash, art director Hector Arce, painter Tom Rozejowski, packaging artist and designer Jordan Christianson, and photographer LordBobasaurus.

Standard packs come in at $125 USD with accessories aplenty for customizing the figures. Ickis and Oblina get sad and scary swappable portraits while Krumm can either wear a frown or turn it upside down. Three different arms also let Oblina get extra expressive, bringing out her scariest side.

In the exclusive pack, the cast expands to include not just the three friends, but some of the other freaky creatures featured in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters. One accessory included is a Bonsty, a hungry monster child that is known for its ravenous appetite. Even in collectible form, the trio also can't escape the torment of Tim Curry's bee-like bully, Zimbo. To complete the set, fans who pay the higher price of $150 USD will also get an open-mouthed Krumm figure, more portraits and arms for Ickis and Oblina, and an extra clear figure stand over the two included in the regular set.

These sets are limited to two per customer and will ship worldwide, excluding New Zealand and Australia, with a rollout expected to begin in January 2025.

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters ran for four seasons from 1994 through 1997, with each taking place in New York City at an institute for young monsters located under a city landfill. Before Mike and Sully of Monsters Inc. explored the business of scaring children in 2001, Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm spent their days completing assignments — usually a scare — to please their headmaster, The Gromble, and prove they were ready to become functioning, terrifying members of monster society.

Adding to the series' appeal was a strong voice cast, including veteran actors Charlie Adler, Christine Cavanaugh, and David Eccles as Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm, respectively. Curry, coming off of The Three Musketeers a year prior and Stephen King's It miniseries in 1990, added some extra star power to the group alongside Saturday Night Live alum Jim Belushi. Rounding out the bunch was another longtime voice actor in Greg Berger alongside The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension's Billy Vera.

The new Mondo Squads Aaahh!!! Real Monsters sets are available to pre-order today exclusively on the official Mondo Shop website. In the meantime, the classic Nicktoon is available to stream now on Paramount+. Get a first look at the figures in the gallery below!

TV Animation Veteran Andrei Svislotski Passes Away, Aged 62

Animation veteran Andrei Svislotski sadly passed away on Monday, Dec. 19th at age 62. The Russian-Born animator had a rich and colorful career, which he embarked upon after studying architecture and animation in Moscow and working on Russian shows such as Kubik, Doremi and Cat Leopold.

In the 1990s he joined L.A.-based Klasky Csupo studio, working on animated shows such as Edith Anne, Santo Bugito and Duckman as character designer, layout supervisor and animator.

Svislotski was an in-demand animation director for popular Nickelodeon series such as Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Rocket Power, Rugrats and its sequel All Grown Up! He also helmed several Curious George home-video projects. He received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work on Aaahh!!! Real Monsters in 1995 and another Emmy nom for directing the Curious George series in 2014, an acclaimed 2D show that he worked on for many seasons. He was also character layout supervisor on The Rugrats Movie in 1998 and was animation director on the studio’s adult animated project The Immigrants. He also directed several episodes of Disney Jr.’s Sheriff Callie’s Wild West.

In addition to Klasky Cuspo, he worked with Nickelodeon, Paramount, Brown Bag Films, Universal, Disney Junior, and DreamWorks Animation TV through the years.

Svislotski’s friends have set up a fundraiser to support his family during this difficult time.

They wrote, “On December 19th, 2022, our dear friend Andrei Svislotski suddenly passed away at work. He was 62 years old. Andrei was a man of enormous talent and a very fun guy to be around. 'Invader ZIM' and 'AAAHH!!! Real Monsters' Join The Nickelodeon NFT Splat Factory

Via the official RECUR blog:

Foreman’s Log: Aliens and Monsters and Mashups, Oh My!

Get ready for Nickelodeon Season 2.

October 21, 2022

Nickelodeon Splat Factory foreman here. As the factory manager, I’m happy to report that Season 1 is in the books and ‘90s nostalgia is back.

Nickelodeon’s inaugural drop brought us back to the Rugrats and Hey Arnold! from our past. We laughed. We slimed. We combined our favorite characters to create unique mashups. It was a huge success thanks to fans from 197 countries across the world!

The drop sold out almost immediately–claiming the number one spot on OpenSea with over $3.25M in secondary sales in under 24 hours. And when challenges went live, all slime was claimed in 90 minutes, with less than a quarter of mashups remaining.

Now, as the spookier months approach, I’ve begun preparing for Season 2 with more Nicktoons, more slime, and more opportunities to collect crazy rare mashups.

But before I could get the belts turning, some unexpected visitors arrived.

Certain prying eyes (in-hands) and other worldly invaders saw the power of The Splat Factory. Mischief and mayhem are rampant, and the factory has been plunged into chaos. What are these characters from Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters stirring up?

Here’s what I know…

Starting November 7th, 10,000 TV Packs will be available on Nickelodeon.xyz for $50 each. Early fans will be able to trade them for slime, which can then be collected and exchanged for one of 500 ultra-rare character mashups.

When I asked if they had any demands, Zim and The Gromble spoke up.

Zim decreed that RECUR Pass holders and Nickelodeon Season 1 NFT holders will have a greater chance of receiving a Season 2 allowlist code.

Not to be outdone, The Gromble said he plans to give all Season 1 OpenSea auction holders and Mashup holders a free Season 2 TV Pack.

That’s all I know for now. It’s probably best we play along until they finish what they’re doing.

Stay tooned for more info and never miss a drop by joining the Nickelodeon NFT community on Discord and Twitter.

Foreman’s Log: It’s Almost Slime… Season 2 TV Packs Are En Route

Nickelodeon Season 2 drop details are here!

The Splat Factory is quiet but the stench screams in my nostrils.

On the bright side, the trash left behind by Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm has clogged the conveyor belts and halted further production of new TV Packs. Even amidst the chaos, 10,500 packs made it through the line.

Unfortunately, as GIR was distracting me (there’s just something about that dang Doom Song), Zim was able to beam the completed TV Packs onto his ship and he flew off toward the Nickelodeon.xyz marketplace.

While assessing the damage, I found that GIR spilt a chocolate bubblegum slushie on the main console. And what did I find stuck to it? A note written in Zim’s native Irken that, when deciphered, outlined Zim’s plans for global domination. Here’s what it said:

Zim’s Evil Plan:

Phase 1 — Complete

  • Team up with monsters ✅
  • Surprise puny Foreman ✅
  • Take over The Splat Factory ✅

Phase 2 — Complete

  • Have GIR distract the Foreman ✅
  • Obtain TV Pack creations ✅
  • Escape like a squak in my shmoopsquizz ✅

Phase 3 — In Progress

  • Release TV Packs to pitiful humans ⬜️

How I’ll sell TV Packs to pitiful humans:

  • Total Packs: 10,500
  • Pass Holder & Allowlist Packs: 6,000
  • Public Packs: 4,000
  • Marketing & Community Packs: 500
  • Price per Pack: $50

11/1 at 12pm ET — Snapshots

An Allowlist Snapshot Protocol will execute on the Earth date and time stated above.

This snapshot documents specific humans so I can give them guaranteed access to a Season 2 TV Pack. These humans will automatically qualify for my minion program should they meet any of the following criteria:

Season 1 Mashup holders — (1 free TV Pack per Mashup)

Because you understand the power of a Mashup, I can trust you’ll make a loyal minion. For this, you’ll be rewarded with 1 FREE TV Pack for each hideous revealed Mashup in your possession. (No sealed packs allowed, humans.)

Season 1 auction holders — (1 free TV Pack per character)

Oh yes, I see you, HUMAN WHALES! Although I don’t understand the benefit of being both a human and a whale, I’m very pleased to see you living the mashup mentality. Plus, your drive to win something is unmatched in your species. You will receive 1 FREE TV PACK PER AUCTION CHARACTER HELD!

RECUR Pass Holder — (1 allowlist code per qualifying Pass)

Because I am vastly generous, new minion hires with a RECUR Pass will get one allowlist code for every eligible Pass they hold with specific evil traits as defined below.

Passes must meet at least one of the following evil qualifications:

  • Most Occurring Color: Purple
  • Longest Sequence: 3, 4, or 5
  • Digit Sum: 1, 2, 3, 40, 41, or 42
  • Color Set: Monochrome
  • Property Tag: Unity, Zero, Perfect, Pi, Fibonacci, Binary, Cube, or Square

Find an eligible RECUR Pass here before the snapshot.

Nickelodeon.xyz holders — (1 allowlist code per pair of eligible character and RECUR Pass)

I’ll also extend allowlist codes to Nickelodeon.xyz holders if they hold both:

  • Any RECUR Pass
  • A Nickelodeon Season 1 character with a Slime Score of 3 or greater OR with any VFX attribute

11/7 at 11am ET — RECUR Pass Holder & Nickelodeon.xyz holder (minion) allowlist sale

You minions who are eligible for the allowlist sale will receive your allowlist code(s) on 11/7 prior to the start of the sale. Each code can be used to purchase one TV Pack from 11/7 at 11am ET to 11/8 at 10:59am ET.

Any unsold TV Packs from the allowlist sale will become available in the RECUR Pass Holder advanced sale.

11/8 at 1pm ET — RECUR Pass Holder advanced window sale

All RECUR Pass Holders will get early access to purchase TV Packs. The sale will last for an hour, as long as the Pass Holder allocated packs are available.

Any remaining TV Packs at the end of the Pass Holder sale will roll into the public sale.

  • 11/8 at 2pm ET — General public sale
  • 11/9 — Assess invasion force

FINAL PHASES OF MY EVIL PLAN

Phase 4 — In Progress

  • Exchange for our newly created Slime ⬜️

Phase 5 — In Progress

  • Create mashups to take over the world ⬜️
  • Laugh maniacally with GIR for an extended time ⬜️

Let’s see how his plans pan out. In the meantime, I’ll be here cleaning and humming that Doom Song.

If you have drop questions or monster sightings to report, please direct them to my friends in Discord or on Twitter.

Factory Foreman signing off… Doomdoomdeedoooom. Doomdoomdeedoomdoom.

###

Paramount+ access for Rugrats and Hey Arnold! holders 📺

Eligible holders of Rugrats and Hey Arnold! NFTs on November 7th at 5pm ET will receive free or discounted limited time access to Paramount+!

Relive your Saturday morning routines and stream all your favorite Rugrats and Hey Arnold! episodes in one place.

Update (11/14) from the official RECUR blog:

Foreman’s Log: So. Much. Slime.

The next Slime challenge is almost here!

Hey there! Splat Factory Foreman here.

Hot off the heels of the Season 2 drop, all Zim could rant about was the power of his ultra-rare Mashups. It appears Zim is following the same formula as Season 1.

With his corrupted Slime in tow, I can’t help but feel like he’s close to completing his ultimate Plan.

Here’s what I know:

SLIME CHALLENGE

November 17 at 2pm ET / 11am PT

CHALLENGE DETAILS

  • Holders of Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters characters can exchange their characters to receive Slime collectibles equal to their character’s Slime Score.
  • The Slime Score is listed on your digital collectible as a unique trait ranging from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 Slime.
  • Collect 10 Slime now, and later you can trade them in for an ultra-rare Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters Mashup TV Pack!
  • Slime collected from the Rugrats and Hey Arnold! season cannot be used to create an Invader Zim and AAAHH!!! Real Monsters mashup.

BE WARNED

Holders that trade (burn) their characters will forever remove them from the Nickelodeon.xyz ecosystem.

MASHUPS CHALLENGE

November 21 at 2pm ET / 11am PT

Now, I know these scary monsters and alien Mashups help Zim with his plan. But darn it if I don’t want one for myself. If I got a Mashup with GIR, I’d forever be reminded of that intoxicating Doom Song.

One can dream.

Paramount+ UK To Add 'Kenan & Kel', 'AAAHH!!! Real Monsters' and 'Clarissa Explains It All' in October 2022

Paramount+ UK & Ireland will be adding three beloved '90s Nickelodeon favourites in October 2022!

Paramount+ will add seasons 1-4 of Kenan & Kel on Saturday 1st October 2022, seasons 1-4 of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters on Monday 17th October 2022, and seasons 1-5 of Clarissa Explains It All on Monday 24th October 2022.

At the moment, it's currently unknown whether Paramount+ will include the "banned" episodes of Kenan & Kel and Clarissa Explains It All - episodes which were never shown or rarely aired on Nickelodeon due to their content.

In the U.K., due to their content, the Kenan & Kel episode "Girl-Watchers" was completely banned from airing and one-or-two episodes of Clarissa Explains It All never aired or rarely aired.

Update (15/10) - Unfortunately the Kenan & Kel episode "Girl-Watchers" is missing from Paramount+ UK & Ireland.

About Kenan & Kel:

"Aw, here it goes!" Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live) and Kel Mitchell (Game Shakers) were among the original cast members of the popular Nickelodeon sketch-comedy series All That (which sketches aired on Nick UK as part of NickelOzone's ComedyZone) when they received their own sitcom in 1996. Set in Chicago, the show follows the kid-friendly misadventures of two high-school friends who are always scheming and dreaming. Kenan, who works at a grocery store, constantly devises crazy plans to strike it rich, while orange-soda-loving buddy Kel is always dragged along for the ride despite his track record for messing things up.

About Clarissa Explains It All

Produced for Nickelodeon, Clarissa does explain it all in this series. Why do people do the things they do? Along with unfolding stories, sarcastic and funny teenage host Clarissa Darling (Melissa Joan Hart, Sabrina The Teenage Witch) sits on her bed and gives it to the audience straight. Along with her friends, Clarissa tackles coming-of-age issues with wit and irreverence.

About Aaah!! Real Monsters

Beneath a smelly garbage dump live Ickis, Oblina and Krumm, monsters-in-training at the elite Monster Academy. Under their strict headmaster, The Gromble, will they ever learn to scare humans without first scaring themselves?

'Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers' Features SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Real Monsters and The Smurfs Easter Eggs

Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming hybrid animated movie Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers that includes a bunch of new footage from the movie, which is set to release on May 20th on the Disney+ streaming service. The film stars John Mulaney as the voice of Chip and Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as the voice of Dale.

It's not unusual for movies, especially ones based on retro franchises, to include the odd Easter Egg or two, whether in-universe or from other titles produced by the studio producing the film, and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is no exception, as there a brief reference to the Keyblade from the video game franchise Kingdom Hearts in there.

However, what makes Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers rather unusual is that it includes a number of references to rival network Nickelodeon!

Around the 1:21 mark in the trailer, both Chip and Dale are staring at what appears to be a wall of different bits and bobs from animated characters. The plot of the movie seems to revolve around the disappearance of a former castmate and some kind of weird, body horror-like conspiracy around updating to modern looks. Included in that wall of odds and ends are: The mouth and ears of Ickis from AAAHH!!! Real Monsters, the hair of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, a Smurfs hat, and the Krusty Krab Employee Hat from SpongeBob SquarePants!

There is also a mention of Nickelodeon at the end, when it's revealed that Captain Putty once stormed Nickelodeon Studios.

Additionally, there is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it Ghostbusters reference in the film, in the form of a fan wearing a No Ghosts tee.

As noted above, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers is set to release on Disney+ on May 20th. It stars John Mulaney as the voice of Chip and Andy Samberg as the voice of Dale as well as a number of other actors like KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Flula Borg, Keegan-Michael Key, Tress MacNeille, J.K. Simmons, and more. It is directed by Akiva Schaffer and written by Dan Gregor and Doug Mand.
